This is definitely a fruity, girly, delicious summery scent. I do smell mostly peach, but it's a different peach than the one in Aglaea (which I also love). It's not quite as sweet and juicy, more crisp. I can't pick out the other notes but can say that it's a lovely blend and one that will be in my regular lineup of scents to wear just about anytime.

    Snake Charmer

To me, this is more amber and musk than the spicy vanilla of Snake Oil. It's pleasant enough, but I prefer Snake Oil's sweetness. I'm glad I got a chance to sniff this, but I'm not heartbroken I missed out on it. For once.

    Drink Me

In the bottle, I found this to be nauseatingly sweet and rich, overwhelmingly fruity and buttery. But dry on my skin, oh my... I still smell a hint of cherry, but it also has a very light, buttery cakey smell that is just delicous without being sickeningly sweet. Even though it's light, it has a good amount of throw for several hours. After that, it's still present, but only with some nose-to-wrist action. Of course, I like scents with throw, and this is so yummy that I don't mind reapplying. So glad I bought a full bottle unsniffed! If you like foody scents, it would truly be a crime not to check this one out.

    Pumpkin Patch III (2005, 2006)

Who'd have thought pumpkin and pomegranate could work so well together? This is a blend that could have gone horribly awry, but thankfully, it's a winner. I smell the pomegranate note from Swank, along with a sweet, low-key pumpkin with no spice. It's a very fruity blend, and it does tend to turn a bit powdery on my skin, but most BPAL fruits do this. Also, lasting power was below average for me. To remedy these problems, I'm going to try it in a scent locket and see if that helps, and will report back if so.

    Freak Show

This is yet another aptly named oil--it is an odd, freakish blend that somehow manages to work. Wet on skin, it packs a powerful citrusy punch, but there's something candyish there too, kind of like Tootsie Pops. But Tootsie Pops sprinkled with pepper. It sounds gross, but it's not. When dry, the citrus fades into the background, and the scent that remains is smooth and sweet. I can't pick out the individual notes, except that the cocoa is definitely present. Like I said, it smells kind of odd, but I think I like it. I can't imagine I'll wear it often enough to put a dent in my bottle, but I find myself strangely (or freakishly?? ) unwilling to part with it.

    Pumpkin Patch I (2005, 2006)

On me, this is mostly apple cider. It's actually not as spicy as I thought it would be, and the pumpkin stays in the background too. The scent doesn't morph much, and miracle of miracles, the apple doesn't turn sour on my skin. I think it would be great layered with a spicy scent, but it's yummy on its own, too.

    Miskatonic University

At first, I get a blast of Irish coffee, very sweet and creamy. Delicious! On my skin, it has remarkably good throw and smells great, but I keep getting teeny whiffs of some sort of plasticky aroma every now and then. Not enough to make me hate the scent, which is really impressive and quite unique, but I won't be paying ridiculous ebay prices for a full bottle either. I may keep my imp and try it out in a scent locket to cut down on the eau de plastic. Overall, a wonderful scent, just not the perfect one for my skin chemistry.

    Shub-Niggurath

I love Shub. Alas, I have only a sniffie with one drop left in it, but that drop is to be treasured. The "evil gingerbread" description I've read in many other posts is a good one, but to me, this is a much less foody blend than Gingerbread Poppet, which I also love. This is a gingery, spicy, sexy, notice-me scent. It smells very warm, and if it had a color, it would be red. Considering it's going for insane amounts on ebay, it looks like it might be pretty difficult for me to obtain but I'll keep searching for it anyway. It's my Holy Grail and I'm on a quest!

    Gingerbread Poppet

The sweeter, gentler, foodier (and as MA pointed out above, easier to find and purchase) sister of Shub. I love the spicy yummy goodness that is Gingerbread Poppet, and I'll be sure to grab another bottle if it shows up again.

    Lampades

I get spicy fruit morphing into a barely-there soft floral with no throw It's pleasant enough, but I don't need a bottle.

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

Candy! Lollipops! Bubblegum! Not my typical scent, but it's definitely happy. And it's one of only a few fruity BPAL scents that don't go all powdery on me. It's worth keeping for that reason alone--the mood boosting is a nice bonus.

    Smut

The name pretty much sums it up. It does smell smutty. On me, the musk amps way, way up, so that I can barely smell any sugar or booze. It's not bad, but it's not something I'd wear too much either.

    Water of Notre Dame

This smells just overwhelmingly soapy on me. I can see how it would be calming, but right now it's crossing the border into the "perfumey" (which usually means headache-inducing, for me) category. I may test it out again, and will edit if it does anything different. Edited to add: Tested it again, and if anything, it was even more soapy and headache inducing this time. I just can't wear this one.

    Milk Moon 2005

This turned into sour milk/baby spitup on me. I wanted to love it, but luckily it has already found a new home.

    Imp

I love the peach, amber, and musk, but the patchouli just isn't working for me. I usually can't wear patchouli, although it does work for me in some BPAL blends. This one, however, is a very "dirty" patchouli on my skin, and it just doesn't go well with the fruity and sunny peach and amber. I wish it were a sweeter patchouli, because then I would love this blend! As it is though, I think it will go on the top of my swap pile.

Wet, drydown, and dry: Berry bubblegum! Very sweet. No neroli in sight. This is a youthful, fun, happy blend, and it's my favorite BPAL berry so far. I'll keep my imp, and if I use it up, I'd consider a bottle.

    Bengal

Oh, yummy spicy goodness! I adore this on its own and can't wait to try it over a vanilla scent. I smell all the spices, plus a bit of sweet honey (not too sweet though) and a hint of musk. I think this will be a staple for fall and winter, and I tested it in time to buy a 10ml!

    Ogun

This starts out as a bright melon with a bite from the chili pepper. Then it morphs into something smoky and a bit musty, but still fruity (although the melon disappears). It's a very unique and interesting blend, and I may keep my imp around to experiment with, but I don't think it will be going on the short list for a big bottle.

    Hunger

I tested this without reading the notes, and after reading them, I'm really surprised to see this described as a vanilla floral scent. It smelled very sharp and slightly medicinal on me, and I smelled very little vanilla. I thought there must be some sort of incense or resin in the blend, but apparently not. It does have very strong throw and good lasting power, but it's just not a scent for me.

    Obatala

In the imp: gorgeous buttery coconutty suntan lotion. Yum! On my skin: Turns plasticky. Wah! Perhaps this is one to try in my scent locket.

    Centzon Totochtin

Wow, this is strong! I smell cocoa the most, and it has an almost coffee-like quality to it. Later, the booziness comes out, but it still smells mostly of dark, spicy, expensive cocoa. This would be a great winter scent, so my imp will be sticking around until then.

    Shango

Wet: yummy, sweet coconut and a hint of apple. Drydown: Oh no, the apple is turning sour. Dry: It has turned. Sigh. I love the smell of fresh apples, but sadly, my skin does not.

    Titania

At first, this is all fruit! I guess what I'm smelling are the peaches and grapes, but before I looked at the list of notes I could have sworn I smelled honeydew melons too! After it dries, the florals come out more and turn kind of soapy on my skin. It's a nice, clean, fresh and fruity sort of scent that would be perfect for spring. I actually like its beginning stage best, before it turns soapy, so I may try it in a scent locket and see how it does in that. Those who love girly, fruity florals need to check this one out.

    Jezebel

Oh, how I wish this were honey, sandalwood and orange blossom without the rose! I've found BPAL's rose note turns into powdery old lady soap on me, even when the blends smell great in the imp. This one actually works better than most blends containing rose because the sweet honey dominates, but there is still that rosy ickiness in the background, and the sandalwood and orange blossom are nowhere to be found. I may keep the imp around with the hope, false though it may be, that this will work on me next time. If it does, I'll be sure to edit my review.

*swoons* OK, I'm back. This scent is much more subtle than what I usually go for, but it's just so beautiful! I smell creamy, sweet tea with a gentle musk clinging close to my skin. Not much throw, but it does inspire definite nose-to-wrist action, followed by the aforementioned swooning. I can see myself wearing it every day, if that were possible (I am a perfume addict, after all). I am once again amazed by Beth's talent!
