The best non-sweet fruit that I have found (most of them are very sweet, IMO) is probably milk moon 07. The fruit is pleasantly bitter and tart.

I wore Snake Charmer in salute to Harry, who is a Parselmouth. plus it smells reallllly good.

imp: Smells AMAZING! Like Snake Charmer with pine instead of vanilla. on: sadly, it goes all soapy on the Hubby. ETA--and powdery on me.

imp: lemon candy lolipops from the Dr's office. wet: same! So far=meh. Dry: Lemon Pledge Later: NAH.

imp: fruit wet: fruit dry: the fruit has a sort of "grapefruit" or "pomegranate" smell to it. There is a little honey after a long wait. It's OK. Maybe it will grow on me. later: NAH.

imp: sour cream frosting with something else (white grape?) wet: it starts to get woodier and the olive leaf comes in. dry: the olive leaf keeps coming out more and more. I just don't like it. The olive leaf gets stronger and stronger on me and I don't find it to be a pleasant smell. NOPE!

imp: foody sweet resins wet: same dry: It starts to get powdery. Ble. SWAPS!

Kostnice: imp: orange blossom and rose wet: floral...smells a little sour...might go powdery. dry: too soapy. Nah.

Wolf Moon 2006 imp: berries and fir trees wet:same. the fir amps. dry: soapy fir berries. meh. and VERY strong. later: powdery fir-scented Glade plug-in

Luperci 2007 imp: floral babypowder. blech. wet: same, with a hint of musk. dry: the worst babypowder floral ickyness evah!! With a nasty SOMETHING in it too. EEEEEWWWWW!! ETA: LUPERCI 2006 imp: MUSKY! Mmmm! wet: The feral smell is a little less...now more powdery but also more cologne-like dry: Mega-mega men's cologne-y. NAH

Got this for Hubby. All we get on him is soft musk. Alas, nothing to write home about. There are others that are better on him. Off to swaps.

This I got for the Hubby. On him, it is all PINEPINEPINE, but nice, deep evergreen pine. We don't get any campfire or smokiness. He likes it, but there are some other oils he likes more, so it will probably go off to the swaps.

This is SUCH an amazingly lovely scent---and it IS a scent-memory for me as well. In the imp, it smells JUST like fresh cut grass and dandelion flowers. I know that this will be a favorite to sniff in the dead of winter when I need to think of Spring and Summer. On my skin, it starts to turn after about 5-10 minutes. It becomes a tiny bit LILAC (but a very PALE, understated lilac), and less grassy but still GREEN...and it is quite lovely. So even though the scent does not remain dandelion and grass on my skin, it is still very beautiful. Thanks SO MUCH to themerrybaker, my lovely Switch Witch who gifted me with this beauty.

I agree with the fact that this blend does resemble some commercial blends. It was VERY shocking to me that it smelled like that, but in a wonderfully GREAT way! It is an incredibly well-balanced and beautiful light floral. It does not turn soapy or aquatic on me at all like many things (commercial and otherwise) are wont to do...in fact, it even gets the tiniest bit woody toward the end. I was very amazed and pleased by this blend, as it is not something I ever would have chosen for myself...and thanks to my great Switch Witch, themerrybaker, I got to try something great that I otherwise would have missed out on!

imp: resin and floral wet: very faint. an evergreen and floral step to the front, but very faintly dry: a beautiful, sweet floral. honey? Maybe, but very faintly. Whoah! As it goes on, the honey gets amped more and more. It's gorgeous, spiced honey!! Let's hope it says that way and never reaches the dreaded "soapy."

imp: Resin, sweetness of some kind of food, some kind of floral. All blended together really well into a musky sweetness. wet: Same dry: same. A well-balanced scent. Becomes "drier" smelling with wear. We'll see if it ever gets to the dreaded "powdery."

I don't think I posted a review for this beauty...It doesn't work that well on me, but on my hubby---AWESOME! There is a strong berry smell over the wood at first...it's fresh and nice, but the berry gets tamed a little as the wood warms up. I am so glad I have some of this for him to wear!

I agree with the folks that mentioned trying to discover what kind of flowers they were. You could go to some sites that talk about flowering trees commin to that area. I think any of the suggestions made above COULD be likely in that part of the country. Could you tell me more about what the trees looked like? Tall? Short? Wide reaching branches or narrow silhouette? Are they mature or saplings? What color/texture is the bark? Do recall the shape of the leaves? Maybe check on a floweing tree identification website. There are so many with white blossoms that could be grown in that region...someplace like that might help you to narrow down the shape/growing habit of the trees and therefore narrow down which ones it could have been.

My thoughts: I think they are totally different. BM is completely cheesecake, while Eat Me is really buttery and foodier in a candy kind of way, not a cheesecake way.

Well, I am slowly making up mnemonic devices: PROSHITAPATHIKA Her lover is away on a long journey, (since he is a PROfessional) and she is pining for him, feeling that everything is SHIT, and feeling great APATHY when he is not there. Sleepless and disconsolate, she counts the days until he returns. Therefore she is PRO-SHIT-APATHY-ka. (!!!)

There's something in this that makes it a rather more manly version of Snake Charmer, in the bottle. (pine probably) The pine comes out when I put it on and then finally fades to be more creamy. Not as nice as Snake Charmer, but close and lovely. Hubby (for whom I bought it) also likes it very much.

I smell some lovely notes in this...but they are all overwhelmed by the rose (and maybe the ylang ylang)...which makes it a little soapy. Oh well. I like everything else in it!

I like Eve and Thaleia for sun.

In short...it ain't necessarily so. It depends on the allergy and what it is that the person is sensitive to and how severe the allergy is. If you don't think safety would be compromised by trying something (meaning they don't typically have allergic reactions so severe that they can't breathe or something and might die), you'll never know until you try. Good luck! Edited cuz I don't always pay attention.

I wear Snake Charmer a lot and have never had a problem before...Last night I put some on my hubby to see how it would smell on him and while I was huffing his arm, I got some oil on the top of my nose! Burningggggggg...EEEEEEK! It didn't turn red or anything but it hurt a little. Now I know not to get it on my nose again!!!
