Oooh, the rare spicy floral. This blend has a rich thick scent when wet that mellows out and sweetens up a bit as it dries. I don't get the cloying scent I associate with many lilies. Overall I really like it. This reminds me in feel of Chrysanthemum Moon.

I like Caliban quite a lot. I get a strong rush of salty ocean air when I first apply it and then that settles down to blend beautifully with the greenery. It has a little something soft and sweet in the very back of the scent...maybe the wine??? It's definitely not boozey though. Overall it's a pretty, clean smelling scent that I will definitely be wearing from time to time and I think I'll even make a spray of it because it would be a great linen scent.

A pounding heartbeat coalesced into scent: demonic passion and brutal sexuality manifested through myrrh, red patchouli, cognac, honey, and tuberose and geranium in a breathy, panting veil over the darkest body musk. I've tried to review this a few times, but I just can't quite decide what I think of it. When I first apply it a get a wet spicey scent. As it dries I do get a hint of peanut butter but it isn't overwhelming. The honey is present and the myrh makes itself known. The patchouli is rich and warm and there's a hint of something floral. I don't get a lot of muskiness with this. Overall I just can't quite decide what to do with this. Do I like it? I'm just not sure. Sorry for the unhelpful review! ~Kimocean eta: lab description

This was a frimp from the lab and one I probably wouldn't have picked for myself because dragon's blood and I don't usually get along. I like all of the notes in bloodlust except for the dragon's blood though and luckily this one suprised me by not being all about the dragon's blood. I get lots of cinnamon, musk and patchouli with just a touch of vetiver and a tiny hint of the sickly sweetness I associate with dragon's blood on my skin. The sweetness stays in the background though and rounds out the scent nicely. It's definitely a hot, heavy scent-very sensual and rich. Suprise, suprise, I think I will probably wear this one.

I'm not a big dragon's blood fan so I'd been avoiding this one and it turns out my instinct was right. Dragon's blood just smells fake and sickly sweet on my skin. I can smell the rose over it and it is a pretty rose, but the dragon's blood kills it for me.

Ooh, why did I wait so long to try this? It is fantastic! I put it on this afternoon after my shower and it's another WOW scent for me. Overall I too get a ton of clove and leather with a hint of ginger and a little smokey sweetness and it is GORGEOUS! I thought about clove cigarettes all day though and was tempted to go buy a pack! This scent definitely would work well on a man but I LOVE it on me so I'll be wearing it frequently. ~Kim ETA: I forgot to mention the patchouli. It's subtle and really smooth. A gorgeous patchouli with no dirtiness.

SAMHAIN 2006 This morning I decided that even though I hadn't tested this out yet I would give it a whirl as my scent for today and it hasn't disapointed me. When it was wet I smelled a lot of apple and little pine (fir needle) with a hint of the darkness of wood and patchouli. As it dried the softer spices became more prominent and something very sweet, almost sugary is present. I can't quite figure out what it is but I like it. The apple faded into the background and I began to smell a smokier scent with a little bit of sweet spice. I'm afraid I never tried 2004 and I only briefly sniffed someone elses 2005 so I can't compare but this is a very nice blend. I'm such a fall scent lover and this certainly fits the bill. Thank goodness that fall is here!

LOL, I was just about to post this as a new topic when I noticed that Requieminblack beat me to it! We must have both been drenching ourselves in our new scents tonight. It's so interesting how people can have such a different review of a scent! So on to my review... For me this is very floral both in the bottle and on my skin. It's another scent that I have to use the word lovely to describe. I don't get any of the honey or amber at this point but I do get the skin musk, lillies, and just a hint of spice. I REALLY like this. It's a grown-up scent that would be great for a fancy dressed up night or a date. ETA: March 5th 2009, this has aged beautifully. It is a soft musky floral with just a hint of honey now and a deep undertone of spicy goodness. It's one of my go-to date scents and always gets me compliments and neck huffing.

I just got this today and I couldn't wait to try it! Wet it was very sweet ginger with a little bit of amber and musk. As it dries I smell a strong sharp orange and it reminds me just a bit of Lush's Karma without the patchouli. 10 minutes later the cardamom comes out to play and I feel like I smell a hint of clove. It continues to have a touch of the gentle powdery smell of amber behind the very strong, spicy orange about an hour later. This seems to have a stronger throw than many of my other BPAL blends. I think I've found one of my favorite fall scents! ETA: I put this one on again this afternoon and I just LOVE it. It seems to have really good staying power and when I wore it to my yoga class tonight I got gorgeous whiffs of it throughout the whole class. It was a tough class and I got pretty sweaty but it's definitely stil present afterward. It's such a great scent!

Wow, I'm in love. This is magic in a bottle. It's white and light without being too florally or headache inducing. It stays on my skin quite well and gets a little bit softer and sweeter as the day goes on.

Got this one as a frimp at the last will-call. I've hesitated to try this because of the strong minty smell in the bottle and the fact that it was one of the recent batch of decapitating imps I got, but I finally got some new imp caps last night and so pulled this on out to recap. As I opened it back up from it's saran wrap temporary seal I immediately smelled mint and something sweet. I dabbed a little on my cleavage since I've been wanting to try a mint scent when I wasn't going to be going out of the house and OH WOW. Why did I ever doubt this one. It's ocean and beach with just a hint of suntan lotion and something deep and and dark that keeps it so rich. It has great throw on me and lasted for hours. I couldn't wait to put it on after my shower this morning and now I can't stop sniffing my wrists!

Definitely a great one for a guy! Love the hint of lavendar.

The perfect scent to wear to your next bondage ball, dungeon adventure or sojourn to your favorite pleasure dome. Smoky rum and black tobacco with a whisper of steamy leather with a splash of crystalline chardonnay, layered over a sensual, sweet, and deceptively magnetic base of tonka Perversion: Wickedgoddess sugested I try this one on my skin at will call and oh am I glad I did! In the bottle it smelled way too boozy for me, but once on it turned smoky and sweet...I too smell coconut and just that hint of leather with a little bit of spice. I wore it out tonight and one of my male friends kept hugging me and sniffing all evening. Yummy!

I agree completely with Gypsy's review. This is an absolutely LOVELY scent. Just enough spice and a gentle creamy note underneath. I too am smelling and smelling and smelling my wrist! ~Kim Edit: Ah mum moon, why have you betrayed me? I fell so much in love with this one when I first had it and wore 3/4's of a bottle, purchased another bottle and generally felt like I couldn't get enough but as she has aged she's gotten much, much sweeter and the last few times I've worn her I get a nauseated feeling I think I'm going to have to swap away my extra bottle.

So so fruity! I smell juicy fruit gum. Yummy! I kind of wish I had bought some tonight.
