Worm Moon: Purple Fig and Violets Hair Gloss

OK, I’ve never written a review before, but I’ve definitely benefited from reading a ton of them. So I guess I should start pitching in, huh? Bear with me, though: I probably should have started with something easier! Freshly sprayed, the two adjectives I’d use to describe the scent are “green” and “sharp.” I generally apply hair gloss to towel-dried hair, and by the time my hair is dry, the green-ness softens and I start smelling violets — not candied, but actual delicate flowers. Definitely not sweet or foodie, but kind of fresh-smelling; the overall impression I get is of walking on a grassy lawn with wild violets growing, getting trampled underfoot along with the grass. Fairly low-throw, but good wear length. Confession: the first time I wore it, one of my co-workers caught me sniffing my ponytail, and then I said out loud “Huh. I guess I’ve never smelled a fig before. But this definitely smells like something I know. Oh, poblano pepper?” 😆 Some explanation was needed. (Side note: I still really need to find a fig to sniff, because I’m still a little confused.) I’ve worn this with Sybaris, and they definitely don’t “match,” but they don’t fight, either. Overall, I like the dry scent a lot. If it weren’t for the extremely herbaceous opening, I’d probably be picking up a back-up bottle; as it is, I may end up kicking myself for not doing so.
