I don't wear a lot of coffee scents but I do enjoy some of them and I like this one. The coffee note isn't strong on my skin. I'm getting a lot of warm spices, a lot of powdered sugar, and a little coffee. This really reminds me of those round powdered sugar cookies that you find around Christmas time. It really smells specifically like powdered sugar to me for whatever reason. Also I think I'm picking up on some anise from the guardiente (I had to look it up). The clove and cinnamon don't stand out strongly either, it's just a general warm spicy feeling.

I never posted my thoughts on this scent! Obviously this is aged now but I'm still getting strong incense, but kind of sparkly and fancy. I can pick out the frankincense and champaca, and possibly bergamot. It smells much the same as it did when it was new. Complex incense.

On my skin the clove stands out strongly, but it's a cozy clove so maybe the cream part is coming through a little bit. I can't specifically pick out burnt marshmallows but after a while, I'm reminded of a sweet and salty treat of some kind. The dead leaves are at about "medium" level in this one. And I can detect the whiskey but it's a background note for me. Sometimes clove can be tricky on me and this does teeter on the edge of "aftershave", but never quite topples over. It just keeps going and going, reminding me of a cozy baked sweet treat that's maybe a teensy bit salty. Or maybe a sweet and salty taffy of some kind, almost like licorice (it doesn't smell like licorice but somehow I keep thinking of it). I only bought a decant but I keep bringing my wrist up to my nose, and I'm thinking about upgrading to 5ml.

I took a chance on this but didn't know it has a particular note or accord that bpal uses, that is screechy and high pitched and feels like bleach fumes in my nostrils. I've never seen anyone else mention it, so it might be just me. I wish I knew what it is, it's in Apple Butter Rum off the top of my head and a couple other scents. I think there was a Shunga with mango and cream, that has it too. So for me this was a gamble that failed. I smell the pumpkin but with the screeching note this unfortunately doesn't work for me.

All Hallows Oud Perfume Oil Black oud spookied up with pumpkin puree, amaretto, scorched caramel, almond paste, cacao nibs, and honey. Wary of oud, especially black oud. Also I generally avoid both caramel and honey. Interest level rating: 2/5  Bonfire Toffee Perfume Oil Our spin on a traditional Guy Fawkes Night treat: treacle toffee soaked in rich, dark bourbon. I think I've tried this before but I can't remember for sure. At any rate, it's not really calling me. 2/5 Bourbon-Soaked Pumpkin Peanut Butter Fudge Perfume Oil Gooey. I just have no interest in nuts or nut butter in perfume. 1/5  Dry Ice Cocktail Perfume Oil A sparkling absinthe martini swirled with a glow stick and overflowing with cascades of dry ice fog. I like absinthe notes but dry ice fog makes me think of one of the "fog" scents that I tried a few years ago, I think it was a Yule series? And I didn't like that one much. Anyway this one isn't calling to me. 2/5  Pumpkin Latte Perfume Oil Espresso, pumpkin syrup, smoky vanilla bean, milk, raw sugar, and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. This sounds like a candle scent to me, which isn't necessarily bad, but I just never had much interest in this one. 2/5  Pumpkin Musk and Black Oud Perfume Oil A strangely romantic, disturbingly erotic perfume. Has this come out before? I feel like I've tried it. Pass for now. It wasn't bad (if it was the same scent), just not calling me right now. 2/5  Pumpkin Spice Everything Perfume Oil Literally everything! Pumpkin spice it all with this traditional brew of cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, and clove. I have a decant and like it, don't need more. 2/5  Pumpkin Spice Halo-Halo Perfume Oil With apologies to my ancestors. Ube halaya and ube ice cream chonked with mango jelly, flan, boiled taro, evaporated milk, sweetened kidney beans, dried coconut, kaong, gulaman, tapioca pearls, and a copious shake of pumpkin spice. Sounds interesting, I wouldn't mind trying a decant. 3/5 Pumpkin Sugar Perfume Oil Crystallized glittering shards of lightly spiced pumpkin sugar. I have an old decant and like it, but not sure I need more or not. I will retest it in the near future. 3/5 Samhain Perfume Oil Truly the scent of autumn itself — damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein. I love Samhain, but I don't need more. 2/5 Sugar Skull Perfume Oil Vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits. I love Sugar Skull but don't need more - although I'm curious if it's different this year! It seems there are some different versions of it in the last few years. Maybe a decant. 3/5 Vintage Pumpkin Blow Mold Perfume Oil A grinning, glowing gourd gleaming with 40 watts of radiant white musk, sweet orange, crystalline amber, and pumpkin rind. I have this in my cart, Vintage Ghost was so good, I'm interested in this too. 4/5 Halloween 2024 - Carmilla A Glare of Skulking Ferocity Perfume Oil Scorched oud, bitter resins, black musk, a torn shred of gossamer vanilla, and a clang of metal. Not sure about oud, bitter resins and metal. Possibly a decant. 2/5 Carmilla Hair Gloss Sweetness shadowed by danger: dark amber and ylang ylang gleams through smoky chestnut, cacao, mahogany, blackcurrant, and vanilla bean. No hg for me, I have enough. Chocolat Viennois Perfume Oil Turns out this is a thing that vampires are into. A warm mug of dark chocolate and cream with a dribble of blood. Chocolate perfumes aren't usually my thing. 2/5 Come With Me, Loving Me to Death Perfume Oil Black orchid, cacao, bitter almond, and black musk. It depends on the orchid, but really, I can probably pass on this, unless I get really curious from reviews. 2/5 Darling, Darling Perfume Oil Sugared pear and wild violets with orris butter, coconut milk, white musk, and vanilla silk. This combination doesn't sound appealing to me. Edit: it kind of sounds like a Luper scent! I would definitely try it if it crossed my path. 2/5 Die, Sweetly Die Perfume Oil Inevitable surrender. Opening with a heady blend of blood orange and black cherry, the heart of this perfume pulsates with narcotic jasmine, sinuous tuberose, blood amber, vanilla silk, and deep red labdanum. I was on board until red labdanum, I have a questionable history with that note. 2/5 Indescribable Solemnity and Fear Perfume Oil The crescendo of a phantom’s caress: golden frankincense and cardamom smothered by honeyed kisses of labdanum, red rose, merlot, black oud, and myrrh. Couple of iffy notes for me, and labdanum in general can turn sour on me. 2/5 Laura Hair Gloss An ode to delicate femininity, evoking an image of a golden beauty bathed in sunlight: delicate sandalwood and white musk shimmering with neroli, yellow amber, pear blossom, peonies, and iris. Headless Hearseman Atmosphere Spray A bottomless swirl of black leather, dead branches, and flaming pumpkin guts. Hearse of Pancakes Atmosphere Spray There’s still a little time to kill before the viewing… surely it wouldn’t hurt to stop for a short stack? Black coffee, syrup-drenched buckwheat cakes, and a crusty cruller for the road. Hiss and Hearse Atmosphere Spray A dribble of Dorian and a squiggle of Snake Oil, delicately stirred with a moss-crusted muddy shovel. Hot Pink Hearse Atmosphere Spray A dream hearse for anyone who grew up presiding over numerous doll funerals: flashy pink guava, strawberry jam, sugared pink grapefruit, blackberry, bergamot, and pink champagne adorned with a gleaming chrome Landau bar. Lime Green Hearse Atmosphere Spray A shiny, genteel, vintage ride for all those who feel dead inside: lime rind, citron, petitgrain, white musk, a swish of bay rum and a bit of black pepper.

Either my nose is wonky, or I got a batch variation, or I got a mislabeled bottle, because on me this smells like Dorian plus a pretty strong white pepper note. There's no lemon, no cake, nothing sweet or creamy at all, instead it's peppery Dorian that almost smells metallic. Kind of reminds me of Quicksilver Phoenix from way back. I've tried a few of the sufganiyot scents and this isn't anything like them. Nothing remotely like a pastry note - but to be fair the description says "deep-fried fougere", not pastries..... But still, when I read the other reviews, I really feel like I got a different scent. I keep trying it again, thinking maybe it will age into something like the other reviewers talked about, but it hasn't changed at all. After being absolutely blown away by Snake Oil Suf, I have to admit I was disappointed by this one.

For a while I think the benzoin is really strong, it's a powdery stage that lasts about a half hour. Then the white sandalwood comes in and the powdery aspect calms down. This reminded me of an old scent I couldn't even remember the name of at first - The Court of Honor. I think the sandalwood is the same, but it's funny I looked up that one and it reads "a marble-white blend...". Overall I agree that this is a very "cool" smelling scent. I personally don't wear this kind of scent very often but it would make a good "office" scent IMO, it's kind of safe and smells clean to me. I was expecting something a little more smokey, due to the lapsang souchong, but I'm not getting the tea note very much.

I feel like the Steamworks scents would be good for that vibe, even if they're not exactly "mad scientist" themed, they still might fit the general mood, especially Galvanic Goggles, No. 93 Engine, and Aelopile. Beholder Optician from the RPG scents could be a possibility too. Dee might be good, too. Edit: bellumed beat me to it, I second those suggestions, and the Skeksis is a good one I forgot about!

For me this has a little bit of a "golden" quality that has come out with age. The cranberry is subtle but it's there. A wooly gold berry sunset. I used to think this was a fall cousin of Krampus but it has mellowed a lot with some age.

On me, this starts out like a baby-oil type of scent that borders on soapy. Something is happening with the lilac that reminds me of the lab's champaca note and I was surprised to see it's not listed. I don't smell much if any lavender, it's hiding from me. Later as it dries and starts to develop I can smell the sandalwood coming out stronger. The word "sweet" keeps coming to mind but I'm not sure that's the best description. It's still close to being soapy but not quite there. I like this kind of scent but the only drawback for me is I have a few other scents that are very close to this, even though I am not smelling much lavender here, it reminds me somewhat of School of Silence maybe? In that general category. I'll keep this decant and wear it, I think it will be great for spring weather.

I'm amping the moss but that's not unusual for me. OOF that is a nose full of moss. This is deep, green, mossy, and more aquatic than I expected. From memory it reminds me of Bayou but I haven't smelled that in a long time. It's wearing a little oppressive and heavy on me.

I really love this scent. To my nose it is herbal, green, and a little grassy. It reminds me of a few of bpal's "green" scents, especially Blade of Grass. It goes through some subtle changes but overall this is a peaceful and soothing scent. I'm struggling a little to describe it but it's cool, clean, and a little sweet. It makes me think of going for a walk in shady woods with sunlight coming through the leaves. Breathing in the air. It's a bit of an unexpected hit for me.

On me this is deep red apple, with a bit of a sensual quality that I attribute to the patchouli. The patchouli isn't strong but I can find it if I sniff up close. Then there's something a little "sparkly" about it that I think is coming from the apple blossom. So it's deep red apple with a little sparkle. Usually when I see apple (scent-wise) I don't really care to try it one way or the other, but I had the opportunity to try this out and it's actually really nice. : )

Swarmageddon is very much like rolling around on the forest floor in my opinion - not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for but it's worth mentioning!

The Lab has a particular kind of rose note that turns sour on me, and it's in this scent. (Sorry I can't remember where else I have smelled it). This is kind of soapy, almost a grassy rose scent, possibly white rose? But it's a rose that doesn't work for me. : ( I can't make out what else is in this because on my skin the sour rose stomps all over anything else that might be here. I really wanted to love this, I love The Dark Crystal so much.
