  1. The Dormouse is nice and gentle. Chaste Moon is the softest BPAL I've tried to date, I can barely smell it on my skin even after generous slathering.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Oh, maybe I should post this here? Linky to my post about starting a picture compilation of the different labels.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Yes, I want to see it too. As bad as Penance does.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Speaking of labels, is there any way we could start a little compilation of the different label pictures? I just read that The Living Flame has a cute picture on the label, and I would so love to see all the others too (like Samhain). The LEs I have and the border descriptions: Spooky - blue trim with little blue symbol Egg Nog - brown trim with what looks like a black & white flaming heart Storm Moon - gray trim with crescent If anyone would like to start a little picture collection, are these different enough for me to take pics of?
  5. Not BPAL, but the drydown of Ungaro Apparition smelled exactly like Jasmine Vanilla on me. There was some raspberry in the beginning, but it went away completely.

    Beachy, Tropical Scents

Machu Picchu smells like mango peel to me. With some deep greenery mixed in. Tropical enough?

BPALs that smell like Urban Decay perfumes?

I would suggest Pele. It's not an exact match, but it's in that gardenia/pikaki family. I actually like it more than Pistol.

How do you apply your BPAL oils?

Me too, it's usually enough for me. I'm not a slatherer, with the exception of one oil. I with I could have a wand in the bottle cap for Dragon's Milk.

    I need more Cherry!

I'm wearing Dragon's Milk rightnow and it smells like cherry and marzipan.
  10. The Dormouse is the gentlest BPAL I've tried.

Here's a good picture of a 5ml bottle. Where it's blurred is where the name of the oil would be.

Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils

Thanks, VelvetSky. It's a good friend of mine that has allergies... I send her imps now and then, and she's had problems with cinnamon and minty stuff. I screen them myself now that I know about her allergies, but if I was to send her a big bottle of a Lunar oil she'd have to take the chance and try it herself. She's really into Moon rituals, it would have been a thoughtful gift. Silver lining: If she ever crosses me real bad she'll get some Mars in the mail. Kidding... yes... um, uh...

Allergy Questions, Allergies and other reactions to oils

Seriously. I even asked if one of the recent scents has cinnamon and got no reply... I'm surpried because cinnamon oil is known to irritate sensitive skin. I personally think the oils which are common in allegies should always be listed (mysterious LE or not). LOL! Reminds me of the diner that mede their chili with peanut butter as their secret ingredient. Some girl who had severe peanut allergies ate it (because who suspects chili will have PB in it??) and died.

How to remove scents from your skin

I assume you've never had the pleasure of trying Cacao? Not BPAL, just damn stanky.

How to remove scents from your skin

I have a stick of unscented deodorant for perfume emergencies. But if you use scented, you could just wash with soap after. I've never smelled my deodorant on me right after a shower. And yup, the BPAL leaves too because the deodorant took it off. Washing with Tide can work too if you don't want to slather deodorant on yourself. Another thing that might be good to keep around is deodorant bar soap. Those suckers strip oil off the skin to take away as much odor as possible. Should work on perfume oil too, no?

How to remove scents from your skin

Rubbing an unscented deodorant onto your skin works for removing strong (or stubborn) scents.

How do you apply your BPAL oils?

I just wet the little nubby thing by rolling the bottle while gently tipping, and then I press the cap on my skin. The nubby thing makes contact and leaves a little circle of oil.
