I would really like to find something that smells like Welch's grape juice. Any suggestions, bpal or otherwise? ETA: Yes, I technically could just dab Welch's on. But I'm not really sure purple skin is my thing.

Oh, my... think deep red. That is the color of this Queen. In the bottle: Boozy myrrh and a whiff of pomegranate? Hmm, I'm not sure about this one, it seems too boozy for me... but I'll give it a go. Wet on the skin: Earthy is the only way to describe this stage. A slight touch of soil mingles with the myrrh, amber, and various red scents. Dry: A glorious, deep rose emerges. I've never been big on roses, but this one is gorgeous. 10 minutes: Lush, deep rose. Very red and fruity. I'm starting to smell the red currant more clearly, and the vanilla is peeking through. 30 minutes: The vanilla is coming out more and more. I'm so happy I got two bottles that I could cry. It's reminding me off the rose flavored rahat loukoum treats, although it doesn't smell exactly like them. Vanilla-myrrh-rose goodness, I love you.

This is jasmine, and a heady bubblegum-suntan one at that. Very strong, one little dab is enough. I can't say if I'd like it or not, had I not had an emotional bond to this scent. It smells exactly like my very first perfume, the one my aunt gave me as a parting gift when I was moving out of the country. I was about 10 years old. I slathered myself with it for days, until the little bottle was almost about to run out. Then I hoarded, and kept it for many years. Eventually I misplaced it, and was very sad about it because the name had rubbed off the label years ago. How did Beth do it? Or was my perfume also built on the old recipe the description is talking about? Many thanks to Beth and the kind Labbie who gifted me with this imp! I'll cherish this oil for the memories it brings back.

Tushnamatay - Pure internal harmony and spiritual bliss: the perfected meditation blend. -
LXVII - 67 In the bottle: Something mellow green, kind of gender neutral. Maybe the slightest whiff of pale pepper, nothing that bites the nose though. Wet on the skin: A little fruitiness added to the above. A bit more rounded off, it's like it's becoming "complete" now. Dry: I can see now that the fruit is plum. It's not nearly as pronounced as in Bordello, but it's dominating. If I could give this blend a color it'd something between purple and pink. 10 minutes: The gender neutral vibe is long gone, this blend has simply blossomed and become a gorgeous plum with a hint of deep rose. It's also not as weakly scented as it seemed right from the bottle. It's undergone quite a transformation. 30 minutes: The rose has come out more, and is level with the plum now. It's a deep, juicy, fruity rose... I'm not too expirienced with rose so I can't compare it to another BPAL rose blend, but I can tell you what it's not. It's not a high-pitched, soapy rose. It's not the kind from Rose Cross, Moon Rose, or Maiden. It's deeper and more lush than that. CXXXVII - 137 Lightly green and herbal in the bottle. Dries down to a vanillic scent with a soft herbal touch. I would swap this one for a CT2 that's similar to Snake Oil or POTL.

If you like Egg Nog you'll probably like Golden Priapus too (about 15 minutes after application, when the pine has faded). It has the same vanilla as the Eggynog. -
Empyreal Mist! It acyually smells like you're being misted with water.

Thank you! I wish it got billed right away though because DH might spend the moolah by then. ETA: I just got billed! YAY!
-
I just placed an order through CCNow, it's my first one placed this way. Will I get billed right away? Nothing's showing up yet. I would actually prefer to be billed immediately because I want to be sure the money will be available.

The Lab doesn't get charged anything for money orders, right? I've paid with a MO more often than with PayPal, and I'm ok with it... I just wish there was a confirmation from the Lab that my payment was received. I worry for 6 weeks wondering if the envelope got lost in the mail.

I was told just the other day that Snake Oil is a lot like Shalimar.

They were in the permanent line, but are unfortunately discontinued now.

Thanks, I never would have thought of the lotion! Oddly enough though, that spot is the only place where I can clearly smell the patchouli. lol. -
Malice had a drydown of Nag Champa on me. If you want a single note though, dragonflyblue.com has one I love a lot.

Has anyone had a reaction to Snake Oil? I put it on my arms & chest and it's fine. But when applied on the inside of my elbow it burns a bit. I love it so much I'll just keep wearing it anyways. -
In the vial: Spicy and earthy carnation with a touch of fruity plum. Wet: Warm and fruity. The plum is more pronounced than in the vial, but the carnation is still the stronger of the two. Dry: The longer it's on the skin the plummier it gets. 30 mins: Oh, wow... this is gorgeous! The carnation has mellowed a bit and everything's settled in nicely. Fruity and spicy, so beautiful, unique, and fun. The drydown has some faint musk on me, but I honestly didn't even notice it until I read the description and sniffed a bit harder. Many thanks to the Lab for knowing me better than I know myself. Bathsheba has replaced Bordello as the must-have plum, and is very high on my 5ml list. To top things off, I'm reminded of mom because she, just like Bathsheba, is the 7th sister. Mom, Labbies, fellow Bathsheba lovers... scooch closer for a group hug. Aww, can you feel the love?

To me, this smells like pineapple and cinnamon. Sweet, candy-ish, and kind of like dusty bubblegum. An antique doll comes to mind when I think of this oil. It's cute and playful on the surface, but underneath there's something older and darker than the image it presents. It has the feel of an old and not so innocent soul in a child's body.

Wow! Thanks, Gin! Sugar Skull even has a different font.

Ooooo, that's pretty! Regretting I didn't get a bottle, especially after all the vanilla in the reviews. Thanks, Gin!
