holy guacamole batman.... in the imp, it's vague... flitting. one moment I catch something, the next nothing. on my skin, it's burnt foam rubber with a menthol kool overdose... there's no hope for me with this addiction, off to the swap pile it goes!!

I confess that I really wanted this strictly on name alone. I've had a love affair with Cerberus since I was a little girl. What a badass puppy he is!! And in a scent, I really, *really* wanted to love it just as much as the myth. Unfortunately in the imp, smells like... Cherry cough syrup? Guh... Wet, I'm getting the juniper... After googling cubeb, I found out it's a pepper berry... And I'm definitely smelling something off. Definitely not what the image of Cerberus invokes. Completely dry, woof woof, hot and peppery with a side of juniper thrown in for good luck! Where's the chocolate? Where's fig, walnut and most of all, Where's the rum??? It's not a bad scent, more fitting of a man. I'm meeting my cousin this weekend. I'll see if he likes and more importantly, if his wife likes... if not, it may wind up with my brother once he comes home.

I *just* now got this in a package as a frimp from Rhowan... and immediately put it on! in the imp it's fruity and crisp, but nothing that whacks my nose... so, off to let it dry. hmmm... it's supposed to be remeniscent of a Pomegranate martini? Not sure... It's... Light... Crisping up a bit as it dries... It's a pale fruit, nothing heavy or syrupy. This might be divine as a room scent! Yeah, 15 minutes later I'm getting florals. Must try it as a room scent to see if it stays true or if it morphs. GAK... it's turned completely potpourri on me... at least it's not terrorising my sinuses. I'll be fine... and who knows, maybe it'll morph again and settle down! ETA: no way... headache inducing... off to add to swap list and take some tylenol...

I managed to make some notes about underpants before I had to zip out to work... let's see if I can remember what I'd scribbled down. in the bottle, there's a bit of a sharp tang under the sweet smell, but tis still way yummy smelling! on, it morphs into a vanilla cakey smell, the sharp tang vanishing. on the drydown, it morphs again into a warm soft scent that's reminiscent of the original sweet, but it's got a bit of spice to it as well. Nothing over powering, just harmony. it's a keeper and if this is revisited next year, a bottle or three is coming home to mama!!

I tried the alcohol wipes last night trying to get rid of a terrorising scent - and could still smell it. I broke down and reached for Burt's Bees Garden Tomato toner... dripped it on and rubbed it in, instant Scent B Gone!!

this is such a cute blend!! I dabbed a wee bit onto the back of my left hand earlier in the evening, before dinner I think, and was instantly hungry for kiddie cereal!! In the bottle, it's sweet, charming and fruity, but in no way overpowering. Dried down it's still faintly echoing of... fruit loops? I think this would be something I'd wear when out at the mall with my neice and nephew or just when I wanna feel good about something.

I SO very much wanted this to work on me!! Unfortunately, I should have gotten my first clue when I sniffed the bottle a few days ago and cringed in olfactory terror. <-- yeah, that was me. Soapy flowers... or is it flowery soap? It's headache inducing, whatever it is. I stiffened my upper lip and dabbed a wee teeny bit from the bottle lid onto the back of my hand and gave it a few minutes to dry and mix with the chemistry... no change at all. I couldn't stand it and had to go scrape it off with alcohol. I can still smell it faintly I hope the other dragon blends aren't like this. Off to the swap list it goes!

Mayan Chocolate... that's the first thing I thought of when I opened the bottle and took a healthy, heady inhale. Then my mouth watered and I had to put the bottle away before I wound up slugging it down. Cassia and rich fudgey dark chocolate combined with what I guess are figs make an absolutely wonderful brew. I say "I guess" because when I made chocolate stuffed figs at Christmas, this is very reminiscent of it. 5 hours later and I'm still catching whiffs of it. With any luck, this will be offered again next April Fool's... One can always hope!

Ahhh Voodoo.... I got Cherry Cola smell out of the bottle when I opened it yesterday. Upon application, cherry went away and was replaced with something spicy... WHOA SPICY!! It made my eyes water for a few moments as I sniffed and sniffed, trying to figure out what it was - very familiar scent. So, I went and looked up the components and figured out it was the cloves. Whoa Nelly! 10 minutes after application and it's still clove-y. Fortunately, I never smelled any pine. If I had, I would have washed it off immediately. After 20 minutes or so, it softened down quite a bit. I could smell the clove still, but it wasn't as slap your face strong. The whole thing morphed into a beautiful, warm smell that reminded me of fall days and holiday baking. Today, however... oh dear... I applied it to my wrists, elbows, the cleavage and behind the ears. Immediately the clove reached up and slapped me in the face and made my elbows sting and burn. I've had this happen before and it's just a minor skin sensitivity - thinner skin in the elbow crook. But what's troubling me is that the scent is vanished!! It's just gone!! Maybe I didn't put enough on this morning in my mad rush to get out of the house... and maybe it'll come back in a little while. Verdict is, I do love this scent and it's a definite keeper!! I can definitely see a bath and lotion suite out of this scent.

In the imp, it was wonderfully apricotish smelling. On me it turned medicinal smelling. Definitely not for wearing, but I'm hanging on to it in hopes that it'll smell great as a room scenter.

Love, love and ah, did I mention LOVE? I bought this sweet little imp earlier this week off of a forumite and to my surprise it arrived in the mail today. At first whiff in the imp, it smelled ilke hot chocolate and something else - can't describe what, but it wasn't unpleasant. There's a very mellow feeling. On... I was very wary of developing a headache, as I could still smell my perfume from the morning, but one whiff of this and the other scent went scurrying away! The drying took longer than I'd wanted (I'm impatient!) and as I drove, I sniffed one hand, then the other: and what I got was something warm, soft and rich smelling. What the individual scents were, I can't pick out, but I know I like it. Two hours later, I inhale softness, a gentle warmth with a bit of a powdery edge... like homemade hot chocolate - out of cocoa powder and cream, with a slight spiced bite. Definitely a keeper - must have a 10ml before they're done away with! ETA: I kept catching whiffs of this last night as I was trying to get to sleep... and I kept smelling toasted nuts, warm fresh from the oven toasted nuts mixed in a thick chocolate yet to be sweetened. Heavenly, just heavenly!

spicy catches my attention. perfumey florals and baby powder smells make me sick to my stomach but spices and warmth, definitely my attention getter.
