In the bottle, it smelled kind of painfully herbal. But when I put it on, it mellowed out really quick and smelled just lovely. Like the rolls of sweet tarts I used to get on Halloween. Very candy like. Unfortunately, the scent seems to disappear within about an hour, which makes me really sad as I would otherwise want to wallow in it.

Maybe it's my body chemisty, but on me, Aureus smells a lot like marijuana. I kept sniffing myself, and I think I can pick out some amber notes after awhile, but I still smell like a fresh joint.
