Pomegranate, white musk, lemon verbena, grapefruit, pink lime. This is lovely!!! It's a very sweet fruity citrus. It starts out very blended but as the time passes, the pomegranate becomes more pronounced. I would say it had about a 3 hour lifetime on my skin, which is very reasonable for citrus scents. I highly recommend this....it's pretty.......

Hi'iaki, which they discontinued this year, had a pretty strong banana smell, I thought it was just like banana laffy taffy. You might be able to find someone with an imp of it for you to try.

I was initially thinking this was going to be like a softer version of Gingerbread Poppet......and completely different end of the spectrum. This was ginger ale, reminding me a lot of last years Playing with a loaded gun. Though, there was a nice difference between them, while Playing with a loaded gun did it's ginger ale dance and then disappeared, Mother Ginger has like a soft warm afterglow that hangs around on your skin for a couple hours after the ginger ale fades.

One of the best ways to figure out your chemistry is to get a bunch of scents that have slightly similar notes. Pay attention to what they smell like on your skin. Certain notes will never show up on your skin, and others, will overpower all the others. To give an example, I recently figured out that I amp pear. I figured this out when I tried Ginger Skulls, which is ginger, quince, and pear. I kept smelling it, and I didn't have much if any ginger, which is a note I know works on me. Rather, it smelled a lot like Thalia, a GC that I had an imp of, which is Plumeria, pear and white champagne. Thus, they smell extremely similar, because of one note. I also amp tobacco, but in a way I don't like, so I have to avoid anything with tobacco in it. You're going to have a lot of trial and error before you figure out what works on your skin, and what doesn't.

Have you looked at the Panacea? There are a number of scents there such as Oof, Grr, Ugh, and TKO that can probably help you. -

Psst................ *looks around furtively* So.......at will call, they've had these Protoypes sitting out. Rouge. Half-Elf. Dwarf. Halfling. And there also are going to be Good, Neutral, Evil........and they're going to be layerable. They're going to come out sometime in the next few months. Thought you'd want to know *flashbomb and disappears* -
Try Mad Hatter, Dorian, Casanova....and there was an LE like that called Toad Hall that you can probably find someone willing to sell you a decant or a bottle of on here.

What embodies my hair color? Well, i'm one of those people who's brunette, but it's so dark people think it's black. And I wear mostly food scents. Though, I do have a liking for leather. One of my favorite combinations is a vanilla leather, a combo of Dorian and Loviatar(Liz doesn't do it as well). Sweet, but with a hint of something dark and sexy. My friend Josie is a redhead, and she's all about spicy scents.

White Chocolate, Black Raspberry, and Apricot Cordial Truffle
RaeiNarcissus replied to thekittenkat's topic in Lupercalia
Wow. This one is really nice. It's like a vaugely berry apricot drink with a bar of chocolate sitting in it. I first thought this would be like the peach note, the same in every blend, but this was different than anything i'd had before. It's really nice. And it remains consistent, doesn't fade fast. Took like 3 hours for it to go away, and it's still a lil bit there. -

WHOA!! Soft, bubbly ginger ale. ....................................swoon. -
I smelled this at the lab,and i'm like......what is that......... I kept sniffing and sniffing it when I put it on......... and my only conclusion is that this is the sweet smell that happens when it rains. O.o

I had no interest in this scent whatsoever, none of the vampires were appealing to me. But I got a bottle for mumblemutter in Singapore, and as I was wrapping everything up, I went....that smells nice. So I got a toothpick, and tested it. OH NOES. It's NICE!!! I wasn't sure what I was smelling, and one of the earlier reviews had a mention of vanilla amber. That's what it is. It's really really nice.....

I put this on at the lab, and I kept sniffing this going...........this is really nice.....but I can barely smell it. I think that this is one of those ones that needs to get thrown back in back of under my sink along with Egg Nogg Latte to let it age. It's really nice though....... I think I might have to spring for a bottle of it, this has so much promise aged!

Remember when you were sick as a kid, and mom was sweet and got the Grape Dimatapp instead of the nasty Robituson? This is Dimatapp.

I would say that the backdrop of Dorian, Snake Oil, and Doc Constantine take more of a front seat with this one. I spent a good part of this evening trying to find the red velvet cake with the cream cheese frosting, and I kept getting a Dorian/SnakeOil/DocConstantine blend, with a lift of a little bit of cake as I pulled my nose away. It's not terrible, it's a bit nice, but it wasn't what I was expecting, and that was cake.

This one was one of those, here, then gone, here, then gone again scents. It started out very vanilla, then as i'm sniffing at will call, dang it, it faded. Then like, 30 minutes later, wait, it's back! Then.........gone. Then, BACK. I thought it had finally faded when suddenly i'm smelling straight up vanilla ice cream. It doesn't have the throw or staying power to really warrant me getting any of it though.

Liz started as a vanilla leather, and then over the course of the next several hours, went total leather, then vanilla, then back to leather, back to vanilla. She's a morpher, this one.

This smelled really yummy in the bottle, so I popped it on my wrist at will call. Wet, it's really a spicy apple, then the milk starts coming in and smoothing it. As it keeps coming in, the spices start fading, and it gets creamier as it dries. After about two hours, it settles into a creamy apple with a hint of spice.

So, I just got an imp of this for swapping purposes, licorice and sassafrass don't tend to be in my favorites, but hey, it's here, everyone was clamoring for it last year, lets give it a whirl. I put this on, went to a friends house, and an hour later i'm smelling my wrists going.......mmm........ crap.........this is really nice..... it's like a happy vanilla party and licorice is hanging out in the backyard, the licorice is REALLY subtle, but in a hey, i'm still here kinda way. And it LASTS. It's 10 in the morning and it's still hanging in there. Dang this has staying power. Not swapping this anymore.

This one is one of those where on your skin, you're like....yuck, but the throw is AMAZING. In the decant, it's pretty sugary sweet. Wet, sugar, sugar, and more sugar Drydown, EWWWWW.............a glue note. Ok, i'll give it a little time, maybe the glue note will go away. And i'm cleaning up in the kitchen, and suddenly i'm sniffing the air and going.......WHAT IS THAT AMAZING SMELL!!! And I smiffed my hand, glue, sniffed the air........ it smells like i'm in a candy shop at the circus! WTF!!! Ugh. Uncertain whether or not I will keep this one....... it's a conundrum!!

I was a little hesistant to try this at first, but then i'm like, the grease note form Velvet clown worked wonders, so let's check this out. AND AM I GLAD I DID! This is one of those that smells the same in the imp, wet, and when it dries on your skin. A sugary pie with enough banana to go.....mmmm....banana, but not enough banana to make you go...eww banana. It's really sugary and amazing, and it lasts for like.....6 hours on my skin. I don't know what it is with me and clown scents, but we work.

A friend picked this up for me from Comic Con and I was like........SQUEEE. In the bottle......vaugely cupcake like, with other stuff in the bottle that my nose can't quite smell. Wet..... Ok.... i'm getting a little icing from this..but theres an overlay of something kinda maybe woodsy and sawdusty? Drydown... Chocolate icing, maybe a hint of cake, and more of that scent that my nose is declaring woody sawdust. I was hoping for cupcake explosion from the heavens, but I guess that's not happening.

Bah! turns into a creamy mocha on me, really nice, and the cream note lasts forever! I do see what others are reffering to as the burnt coffee note, as it's drying down it turns burning coffee for about 5 minutes, then transforms into lovely wonderful goodness. Yeah.......I have Cupcake Splatter Pattern Analysis.......... and I think i'm getting me a bottle of this.

Really awesome person gave me a half bottle, squee!! In the bottle, kinda cold..... maybe a little soap, ugh.....this is feeling the way of F5 right now. But, maybe it will be awesome cooling soap! Yup. Soap. Just soap. *sigh*
