In the tester, it smells really.....smokey. Ok, going into unknown territory Wet - It turns ....... non smokey. I get the potpourri idea. Ok, i'm geting a whiff of something sweet, and a whiff of something soapy at the same time....... this one might not be good... Dry - Still with the uncertain potpourii idea.......... This one is sitting on my skin chemistry and going.................what do we do!!! I confuse this scent! It doesn't know what to do!! This one definetly is getting passed on.

Scrappy was feeling lonely being the only reviewer of this scent, so I got sent a tester Well, I get the eucalyptus......... eucalyptus soap, that is. Well, someone else is going to get this tester! ............... Probably the next person who reviews this!

A ridiculously nice person sent me a little tester of this. In the little imp, I definetly smell the orange. Wet: Definite orange, it's a little powdery though, i'll see how it goes........ Drydown: I'm getting the orange creamsicle, but it's very light. It's also got almost an orange fizzy pop on the top of my skin, it's got just a tiny bit of throw. After about 15 minutes, the orange is fading away to a very nice creamy scent. Its ending up being very nice, and creamy, it's really pleasant. I could definetly see myself getting an imp of this, probably not a full bottle, but it's nice enough to keep a little of it around.

In the bottle, this smells reminiscent of cough syrup. I think Tikiera is the same girl from the lab who told me it's nasty in the bottle, but it gets better as it dries down... So, i'm giving it a shot. Wet - I'm still getting cough syrup though, it's not total cough syrup, it's rather medicinal. Dry - What the? Theres a sweet note...cutting out from the medicinal scent...I still can smell a little of the medicinal, but something very sweet is breaking through it. It's reminiscent of vanilla, but it's not... maybe tonka or another sweet note? The medicinal note is still in the background..... but it's not horrible. It's blending together into something rather interesting...... After two hours - The sweet medicinal scent is still there, it's fading just a little, though the medicinal scent is morphing a little into something that defintely smells a bit more woodsy. I can kinda get where the leaning up against a tree scent comes in. It's nice, but not something I need a whole bottle of.

The lovely Persephone76 decanted an imp of this for me, it's........ not what I expected. Someone reffered to it as foody and smelling like sticky buns, so i'm like yes! this will be wonderful. In the imp, it smells really foody and wonderful, and on me, it turns spicy. And as i'm sniffing my arm, i'm like..... this is familiar, not medicinal, it's spicy, why do I know this scent? So, I go to my mother, who usually does not care for my perfume, and I ask her to smell me, and she says, curry powder. I then go through the spice rack, eventually ending up with curry powder, and yes, it's curry powder, though not as strong as curry powder is in the jar. It's got a foodyness underneath, and I keep sniffing my arm going, how do I smell like this??? Cinnamon is the only one of the spices that ever works on me, all the others turn to bleah. How am I getting CURRY? ESPECIALLY from this scent, I see St. Lucia and I think of the Italian song Santa Lucia, which I learned in choir and got to hear while I was in Rome multiple times. How does curry = Italian!!!!!!! Ok, it's drying down a bit, I think i'm detecting a bit of cinnamon allong with the curry, and i'm getting a slight wiff of that smell you get when you are approaching a Cinnabon, so i'm totally getting where the sticky buns concept came from. This stuff is awesome. I really don't know why it never made it, though if it's a scent for an Italian saint, and it's got curry in it, I can see if conceptually, it might have been weird. They should have re-labeled it into something else, cause I think this would have been a big hit, like how when Jelly Belly had to make a vomit flavored jelly bean for the Bertie Botts every flavor beans, they put in their failed recipe for pepperoni pizza(true story)

I was expecting candy corn goodness with the original reviews......... However, aged Trick or Treat smells almost exactly like Chimera. It's got a slightly sweeter base, but it's really similar. - Waking up in the morning edit _ Ok, I take it back about the candy corn, once the chimera cinnamon fades away, theres candy corn. It's really light, but it's there. I realized this as I was falling asleep, and it's still there this morning. 12 hours of lasting candy corn!!

I wanted to get this cause this round of Phoenix's is based off the elements of the chinese zodiac, and I am a wood ox. I was a little uncertian about the notes, but I gave it a try anyway. Well, it's new years, and I'm drunk, and i've got some Wood Phoenix on....... it's....... different. It doesn't have any throw, but that's ok, I kinda like how I have to press the back of my hand to my nose to sniff it. It;s a scent that could pass as being part of your natural body chemistry, and it blends to mine to the point I can't tell when wood phoenix ends and my natural skin scent starts. I'm really surprised how much I like this one, especially considering i'm usually slathering food scents like Jack or Sticky Pillowcase or Tarot: the star on me so I smell like i'm going to eat myself. It's really natural..... and it's defintely a keeper. I think I might wear this on my date this weekend so I don't scare my new boy off

I never got to try this when I came out, and I just got a decant of it. It's starts out REALLY cheesecaky. WOW the cheesecake. And i'm like....... where're the pumpkin. A little while later I snoff my wrist, and the cheesecake is gone, and I have pumpkin. It's kinda a you get one then the other scent, like how with fresh knave of hearts it starts out the black current tarts it morphs to rose. I'm glad I just got a decant of the stuff, I probably won't wear this enough to warrent a full bottle. Personally, I prefer Pumpkin 1 form the 2007's, it stays a blended sent the whole way though.

Champage and Cigars........... went WIERD on me. It turned kinda strange champagne, and then had so much throw I thought I bathing in the stuff!!! Good lord the throw was incredible! I hope it does better for the rest of you, but out of the three Champagnes, only one I am keeping is Cheap sex.

I saw plums and was like HUZZAH! And I was sniffing this and Prunella at the lab, Prunella did not smell good, so I tried this one. I was hoping and hoping for happy plum yummy........ and it didn't happen. This kinda turned weird and then disappeared on me. Sad Panda.

*giggles at Teggys review* I have a different take on champagne, Chocolate, and cheap sex. Champagne, double check Chocolate, Absent Cheap sex, ......... sneaking around the closets I don't get any chocolate from this. This champagne is strong, but it's a little different from the champagne in Champagne and roses. It's........... sexier. I'm totally digging the cheap sex. It's really fantastic. And it's making me feel sexy and mischievous. Wow, you know what, this is having the effect on me that everyone else says happened to them with Black Phoenix. I want to go kiss a mirror! - Second try I found the chocolate! I think it was shacking up with the cheap sex. And it's still making me want to kiss mirrors!

I will be honest with you all, when I saw Egg Nogg, I was not excited. Last years Egg Nogg went on strong wet and then disappeared completely from my skin. This does something different. Its not very strong, it does not have really any throw, but, it's not disappearing, either. It's very light and yummy, as by the title is a foody scent but it's not overpowering foody. I personally, as a foody, love strong food scents, but I think people who aren't big into foody scents would throughly enjoy how light this is. And it's not specifically egg nogg or latte, it's a bit of a combination of both. I've had it on two hours, and it's still there, it has faded a little bit, but I can still tell i'm wearing something. I think that this is one of those scents that would do well with some aging. *sticks it in her bathroom drawer with a note to review again halfway through next year*

I'm actually really happy with this formulation, I had Lick it Again and Tokyo Stomp, and with last years formulation being something between the two of them, I was kinda miffed. I spent the summer living in tokyo stomp, so I swapped away Lick it Again, but I found myself missing it a little. This is going back to the original formulation of peppermint and sugar, not adding vanilla. *hugs her little decant* There are days when all I want is to smell like sugary peppermint........... and this stuff delivers. Vanilla and peppermint fight too much, sugar and peppermint are on the same page. I just can't wait till summer, that's when this stuff is the best! Side note, of those of you not finding this lasting long or working well, peppermint is a summer scent. Hold off on swapping it away, you will be eating it up when it gets hot.

In the bottle: Smells foody, why not! Wet: Apples? Wasn't expecting apples. Dry. It's..... temperance. I'm getting a very very faint wiff of the apples, and it's a scent, but ti's kinda just....there. Nothing specific about it. It's temperance.

You know, I was expecting this to be like Midway: Resurrected, changing from cotton candy to funnel cakes to caramel apples with all the different candy listed. Instead, I get a mix of two of the notes, blue spun sugar and strawberry goo. And it's so lovely................... I sit in my chair and i'm drunk with how delicious I smell. Side note, if you can't find this scent, Candy Phoenix turns exactly the same on my skin.

I got a little decant of this from really nice person a few months ago..........it's so nummy........... must....horde.....................

It's banana laffy taffy ladies. No getting around it.

Traditionally, Beaver Moon is named thus for a very obvious reason: during this time of year, beavers are hard at work building their dams and preparing for the onset of winter. However, we at BPAL rarely let an opportunity for sleazy campiness pass us by! For your pleasure and amusement, we present this year's incarnation of Beaver Moon: wild cherry with vanilla cream accord, and a hint of strawberry. I tried Beaver Moon at the lab, and it turned wonderful vanilla accord fruity goodness on me. So, after waiting one month, I went back to the lab, bought a bottle, and................... vanilla accord, but no fruit. Kinda disappointing, but i'll give it a little while to age to see if it brings the fruit elements out.

I looked at Mead Moon and went.............wow this sounds like it'd be great! Now, to give you some idea, i'm a hardcore foody. With the exception of a few flower scents, the foodie scents are the only ones that work for me, hence why Beaver Moon is the only moon scent I own. And I wanted Mead Moon to like me, I really did. Mead Moon however............. does not like me. It turned kinda.......funky, and then faded completely. This has made me really sad, but, I persevere.

I think it was the verbena and something else but......... for those of you who use lush, it went AVOBATH on me.
-
I personally love Verdandi.
-
Oh............yummy......... It starts out very Forest on me, smelling of trees, and slowly morphs and allows the apple and the almond to get in..... I keep smiffing myself and going, oh..... I smell so good!
-
This is an odd one. Thankfully it doesn't actually have the alcohol in it, that would just dilute it, but, it has an element I can't put my finger on that's a bit sour. *Shrug* I dunno if I like or dislike it.
-
It took me a long while to give in and try this scent. Wow. It's so different, it's sweet and yet earthy and spicy at the same time. It's awesome!
-
I get primarily ginger form this scent. It's a very personal scent, it just stays on my wrist, for me to smell myself.
