    Hellfire

A scent celebrating Sir Francis Dashwood's Order of the Knights of St. Francis of Wycombe, also known as the Hellfire Club. A swirl of pipe tobacco, hot leather, ambergris, dark musk and the lingering incense smoke from their Black Mass. This scent definitely lives up to its description! The scent very easily conjures up images of a Victorian gentlemans' club- cigar smoke, fine liquor, leather, heavy carved wooden furniture and dim lighting. Upon initial application, it smells slightly musty and old, but in a good way. After an hour or so, the mustiness and smokiness seemed to fade a bit, and the scent of alcohol and leather became more prominant. I picture men in suits playing a high stakes card game, cigars and cognac at the ready. Not nearly as diabolical as its name implies. It's a decidedly masculine scent. Despite my rather androgynous nature, I enjoy it anyway.

    Antony

Initial impression: very green, grassy; a bright, windy summer day. After drying: very faint, quickly fading to soapy or powdery scent. Fresh, but hints of the outdoors are fading at an alarming rate. This is a very faint scent; I had to apply a comparatively large quantity to get close to the effect I'd get with most others.

    Laudanum

In the imp, it's wonderfully dark and intoxicating. I've no idea what Laudanum actually smells like, but I could picture- if that's the right word- it smelling like this. It seems narcotic to me, relaxing and alluring. I'm not yet able to identify most of the notes, unfortunately. It retained those qualities after the initial application, but, alas, only for a brief while. After I had worn it for some time, both my significant other and I had the same reaction- "it smells like *random goth we know*'s car"- clove cigarettes. I don't mind too terribly much, but the SO has a passionate loathing for all things clove.
