I thought I'd hate this but...I don't. It's all vetiver when wet and the drydown makes me think "industrial cologne"--the ash and coal is there but in a perfumey sort of way. It really works somehow. This is masculine and not something that you could wear everywhere; maybe to industrial night at the club though! Really interesting. -
Very sweet sugary figs with an earthy background. I get no green here, but I don't care because the figginess is so good! Quite strong too. Tasty.

I just have to RAVE about this one. It's the most gorgeous pure, strong clove (or at least that's all I'm smelling--maybe a teeny sniff of patchouli too) and it lasts like crazy and has great throw. I wore it to a club show tonight and I could smell it strongly all night long. Clove heaven!!! I need more.

This is a fascinating blend--it's all pumice and stone when wet, then salt water begins to seep in. Now after a couple of hours I'm getting strong pine/evergreen in there with the aquatic note. This makes me think of a spa--hot stone massage, hot tub, herbal treatments, the whole thing! Not something I'd wear as perfume but how amazing that this can be bottled.

Oh yum. This is the reddest, most perfect, crispest apple EVER. And slightly dangerous--the opium comes out as it dries and although it's not OH HAI OPIUM like some blends are it gives the apple a more mysterious edge. A bit of floral grows stronger the longer I wear it, too. This is the best apple BPAL I've tried bar none and makes me wish I'd been able to try Snow, Glass, Apples--I imagine it smelling like this! Lovely.

How pretty--I thought this would be floral soap mishmash but I can smell the violet, lilac, and gardenia very nicely--dainty and delicate! A nice surprise, and I do love me some BPAL violet.

Holy fricking MAPLE SYRUP. Seriously, this makes me want pancakes like right now. The longer it dries, the more the tobacco is coming out and with the syrupy caramel figuring in that makes this very sweet indeed. A little musky--actually I wish the black musk was a little more prominent; maybe in a couple of hours! But this is absolutely delicious in the meantime. YUM!

Metallic incense--kind of cologne-y and a teeny bit herbal. It's nearly impossible to describe what bronze and gold smell like, but this captures them well even if I can't put it into words. An unusual blend. I'd put this more into the masculine column. -
Kind of stinky when wet--very manly and strong...but after a while this becomes a gorgeously sweet incense blend. Reminds me a bit of IFI Honey Dust, actually. I wasn't expecting this to be so sweet! Really unusual in the way it morphs--glad I tried this one!

I'm not one for gardenia most of the time but it's so watery and cool here--quite pretty! The ginger is far, far in the background but makes a nice little spicy addition. This is ultra girly! If by some fluke I ever did want to wear gardenia, this would be a great candidate.

This smells just like lemon hard candies when it's wet. It's bright and cheery and delicious. Over time, the white musk comes out, and the lemongrass--the drydown is mostly citrusy white musk. Quite nice. This reminds me a bit of Kuang Shi.

The saltiest of salty sea waters. Almost made me want to lick my skin! Does the normal headachey-aquatic thing on me, sadly, but mmmm love that saltiness!
-
Wet: fresh melon! Tasty. Dry: Tobacco and juniper--I like the drydown, I really do, but this has raised red welts on me so I won't be wearing it again. Thanks a LOT, chili pepper.
-
Sweet vanilla-y ginger--smells like cookies! Unfortunately the jasmine is picking up power as it dries and making it less foody. This might be a good thing if you love jasmine, though. Spicy and rich.
-
Slightly citrusy lotus. MAJOR lotus. And when you add jasmine to the mix...it ends up as dryer sheets. Dammit.
-
Rose and something else--a very sweet floral. The jasmine's very well-behaved here. There's not much here that differs from other rose/jasmine blends but it's pretty enough, and not going powdery or sour.
-
Pomegranate and peach and myrtle--delicious! Reminds me of Aglaea a bit when freshly applied. The rose has emerged on the drydown; I'm not getting anything here making me think aquatic, which is odd, but I don't mind. A really nice fruity-floral.

Sri Lanka smells *dry*! I get cedar and sandalwood layered over a rich patchouli. It's hot and arid and incensey. I'd love this as a room scent!
-
I loved the fresh stage of this--crisp mint and bright citrus! So pretty and light. The leather has come out as it's dried, though, and that's pretty much all I smell now; perhaps a bit of teak too. Those combined with the lingering citrus make this a bit masculine, so...not working, but I loved it wet!
-
Way nicer than it should be on me considering there's jasmine, carnation, AND lily in here. The musky amber's what dominates and the florals aren't too strong, although there is a slight soapiness. Kind of just a nice perfumey smell on me. Nothing spectacular but not nearly as disastrous as it could have been.
-
Very sweet and citrusy when wet, then drying down into a lovely, calming herbal tea. I smell a bit of fig in there too. I'm not really one for tea scents but this is a nice one.
-
This is awesome--a slightly less cinnamon-sweet version of Sin. Manly, but I'd wear it too. Very sexy!
-
Ugh. The drydown of this is just awful on me--metallic leather nastiness! I love the initial cocoa note but the leather just kills it dead very quickly.
-
Crap--the dirt's just not working for me here, thanks to the too-powdery florals. I love the concept but...dammit. Very nice when fresh, though.

Minty like WHOA with the oakmoss coming out as it dries. Smells like a good men's cologne. The mint notes here seem to be lingering a bit longer than they sometimes do. Interesting but not really me.
