Surprisingly sweet for something inspired by a men's cologne. It's mostly musky lavender and lilac. I think the lilac is going powdery on me which is amping up the sweet factor. Very little throw on this one, but it's nice enough.

Non compos mentis, indeed! A contrary, conflicted scent, bubbling with merry madness. Contains apple, rose, and lemon. A morpher. Wet it's all bright, happy lemon, then a creamy, almost buttery rose comes forward and takes over. Then the apples come out in the drydown so I'm left with a fresh green apple with a hint of rose. I like this a lot and it makes me want to get out my Sandman comics.

This is indeed really sweet but it's also got a greenness to it that keeps it from being saccharine. And PURPLE, absolutely! Light, but long-lasting.

Be as thou wast wont to be; See as thou wast wont to see: Dian's bud o'er Cupid's flower Hath such force and blessed power. Watery and herbal. I get a teeny hint of the melon but my overall impression is of water and greenery. Might be nice on a hot day if you like this sort of thing; it's very cooling.

Vetiver for sure but there's something green and sharp in the drydown stage that I don't usually get from vetiver. Kind of poison-smelling. Not for me.

The dragon's blood is very strong here but I also get a big dose of ylang-ylang that's quite pretty. Not quite as sweet as Dragon's Heart, Musk, or Milk but still on the sweet side. Great throw too.

Dry woods with dragon's blood, and the dragon's blood isn't amping like it often does on me so I can actually smell the other notes. More masculine than some of the other Ars Draconis blends. Soft, not overpowering.

Something in this smells oddly...fishy on me. Fish and Vicks! It's bizarre, that's for sure.

There are some serious flowers in this but it's also reeeeeeeeeeally sweet thanks to all that honey and vanilla. Very girly. Not quite as strong as some of the other room sprays, but the scent is pretty. I do advise NOT getting a big whiff up it right up in your sinuses like I did, though--WHEW!

A fruity plum that goes sour on me very quickly. I don't know what's causing that but it's not good. This smells very "clean" for a fruity floral and might work better on someone who doesn't usually turn jasmine into ick.

Loads of flowers! Weirdly, I don't get rose from this--it's all magnolia and orchid and a little jasmine (which means in a few hours it'll be a LOT of jasmine). Smells like a southern flower garden in the heat of summer. I'm afraid it'll be soapy eventually but while it lasts the magnolia/orchid stage is gorgeous.

Bright lemon verbena that fades into gingery amber. Actually I really like the drydown of this; ginger tends to be overpowering on me but here it's soft and pretty. I smell just a hint of green in there too. The wet stage is way too lemony, though.

Green, herbal, woody. A bit air-freshener-like and not too strong. Not creeping me out like I thought it might after reading House of Leaves.
-
The musk in this is amazing! Wafting over that I get pine and juniper so it's like...musky trees. Sexy in a green kind of way. This has HUGE throw and lasts a long time.

A light, pretty floral and not the opium-y intenseness I was expecting; delicate and simple. Nice!

Serious lotus! There's something dry undernearth the candy smell I always get from lotus--sandalwood?--but mostly it's just lotus lotus lotus. Good when you're in the mood for lotus, I suppose.

I held off on this for a bit because the mention of pumpkin had me wary, but O. M. G. is this awesome! Fudgey, marshmallowy, caramelly--it's like spraying the air with a candy bar! YUM. And it's strong! Love it.

There's an oddly nutty note to this when freshly applied but it dries down into a yummy, buttery pancake smell with a hint of fruity syrup. It doesn't seem to have much throw but I kind of like that in a foody scent like this (keeps people from asking me where the pancakes are the minute I walk in the room). Tasty!

Now this is an odd one. Vanilla, yes, a musky, powdery vanilla, warm and inviting--and then there's this, well, ROCK smell. It's weird, but it's good. Very classically perfumey despite the mineral/rock note.
-
Soft dry sandalwood--ooh, that's nice--but this is *so* light. It's barely there. Later, it's dryer sheets. Dagnabbit.
-
Wet: this lavender is waaaaaaaaaaaay too strong. Medicinal. Astringent. Sharp. Stabby. Dry: now all I smell is jasmine and powder. Sorry, Sophia!

Versailles has a bright, happy citrus top note--very pretty--and then I get lots and LOTS of rose. I like rose so it's all good. The amber is sweet, and the jasmine isn't taking over the blend as it tends to. The citrus is starting to smell a bit of cleaning fluids, though. I do love the rose note!

The almond-and-jasmine combination didn't work for me in Salome and it's not working here either. They work together to smell absolutely dirty and unclean. I do smell a bit of patchouli in there but it's mostly just that unwashed almond aroma and...yeah, no.

Surprisingly light--very green, very fresh. A man's smell for sure, although it's a wee bit sweet from the incense and ambergris. Pleasant, nothing spectacular.

Leathery cedar, and I know there's no leather here but I SMELL LEATHER. Very woodsy and masculine. Terrific throw; I have one little dab on my arm and it's wafting all over me. Might be great for a guy but not me.
