YUM. Gingery, vanilla-y musk. This reminds me a bit of Shub, but I like this better. If it's ever resurrected I'll be all over this one; it smells divine and I get the appeal it has for so many.

This manages to smell like both dry stones and an aquatic on me. Interesting. It's very manly and I don't think I could pull off wearing it, but I like it--most oils like this smell like dryer sheets or soap on me and this doesn't. Not *me*, but not bad.

I passed on this one and now I'm kicking myself. It smells fantastic! Very musky, sweet and fruity from the wine, and just a teeny bit smoky. It's very rich and deep and dark and I want more.

The yuzu in this is almost too sharp when it's wet--very astringent and powerful. The cherry blossom really blooms (haw!) as it dries, though, and this becomes a gorgeous citrusy/floral candylike scent. It's bright and happy with great throw and is getting stronger the longer I wear it! I really like it. Added: the drydown on this, a couple of hours later, is pure Tiki Queen on me. If you're looking for a GC equivalent of Tiki Queen, do try this!

The pepper in this is quite something--spicy and gives the blend a great kick. The amber is deep and sweet. I don't smell the honeysuckle and passion flower specifically; there's just a nice sweetness. This is feminine but with an edge from the pepper. Very bright and perky! I'm still not 100% sure how well pepper likes my skin but I'll be giving this one a second try for sure.

Oh, this is *delicious*. Dry, coconutty musk. It's a bit sweet and faintly incense-y, and very sexy. This is the closest thing to Tiki King in the GC that I've smelled. It's got fantastic throw, too--I've got 5 or 6 scents on at the moment and this is the one I keep getting whiffs of! A winner.

This begins as rum and musk...mmm. I've had problems with bay rum on my skin in the past so I passed over Frederic when it was on sale, but maybe I was too hasty? Hmm. Drying...here comes the salty woods and a LOT of patchouli. Whew! This is pretty manly but not exclusively so. If the currant and rose show up, this might actually be great but I'm not smelling them. It's a very evocative oil though--glad I got to try it!

Oh, sexy. White musk and black coconut! And a hint of lemon...if I were blindfolded I'd guess this was Tiki King, except that it's much earthier thanks to the vetiver. This is gorgeous and mellow.

Fruity bubblegum!! This reminds me a lot of Jailbait. There's a bit of pepper in there that keeps this from going into sweetness overload. It's light, it's fun, it's yummy! Really like this one.

I was expecting an all-out mint assault from Gennivre but instead it's a smooth tea leaf and lemongrass on me, with just a hint of mintiness and a lot of sweetness from the sugar cane and honey. It's quite pleasant and refreshing like mint tea is on a hot day, and not overly...well, not overly *anything*, it's nice and subtle. The longer I wear it the more the lemongrass is making its presence known. This won't be bottle-worthy but it's nice.

The lightest vetiver blend I've ever tried--in color and in scent. This actually smells more like lemony dryer sheets than anything else. A tangy woodiness underneath it all but mostly, fresh clean lemon.
-
Reminds me a bit of Tiki Queen and Pele--huh? I'm not sure why that's happening. Unfortunately, the sweet pea is turning into soap on me very quickly. I do get a hint of sage from this that's very appealing but otherwise...soap!
-
I rarely meet a red musk blend that I don't love...this is a good one! The cocoa and tonka are rich and sweet and the musk sexes things up fabulously. More sweetness from the tobacco and a citrusy kick from the mandarin. This actually smelled like some kind of soda on me wet; it's much, much better dried down. Foody and yummy.
-
Ooh, I like this. Tropical fruits (mmm, reminds me of Manila) and golden amber, with some green notes and flowers...this is just a really nicely blended fruity floral that doesn't go all soapy or overly sweet thanks to that gorgeous amber. Makes me think of the jungle! As it should. Nice!
-
I'm getting tons of cedar from this too. I guess that's the petitgrain? It's just very, very woody with some patchouli in there too. I'm sad that I can't smell the cassis.
-
Wet: FIR OVERLOAD OMG. Dry: Oooh, black musk, you sexy beast. The clove and cumin give this a bit of a spice rack quality. That combined with the mint and citrus makes this really...odd...the sexiness of the black musk with all of those foody spices is kind of bizarre. I bet this would smell better on a guy than on me.
-
Green and orchidy. I'm not getting the currant note--rats! I see why some have compared this to Morgause but I liked Morgause better. This is just kind of eh on me.
-
Orange rind, plumeria...something bitter about this that I don't like. That smoky quality is making me think of burnt orange peel. Never get involved with an imp whose name you can't spell is my new philosophy.
-
A nice blend of florals when wet. Dried down into jasmine city on me and reminded me a bit of bug spray. Grrr!
-
*sniffs arm* *looks at imp label* *looks at color of oil* This...smells almost exactly like aged Snake Oil on me. WTF? It's amazing! The only difference is that it's not quite as sweet. Sort of a man's version of Snake Oil, maybe? Delicious, dark, and gorgeous. Anyone who has trouble wearing fresh Snake Oil and wants to know what it's like aged should give Czernobog a try. I never saw this coming but it's fantastic.

Smoky lavender and sandalwood. This is awfully relaxing, but a little bit on the masculine side.
-
Sweet, plummy incense. I like it in the imp, but the lab's plum note has a tendency to smell like a plum candle on me. I wish it didn't because I love plums! But no.
-
Lots of patchouli and cypress with spiced figs. The woodiness is a little too strong for the rest of the notes; I wish I could get more of the rose and tonka! Nice enough; nothing outstanding.
-
This started out as a surprisingly light musk. Yeah, I was confused too. Dry, it's deep and dark...musky, spicy, a little woody. The patchouli is not jumping out in this blend. Quite sexy, and this has a really lovely color too. I may save this for autumn.

Heavy on the magnolia and I'm not nuts about that smell. It makes me a little queasy. There's a sweetness from the mandarin and some spices and musk but mostly it's magnoliamagnoliamagnolia. I'll stick with the nail polish!
