Myrrh and vanilla are the prominent notes in Voodoo on me and I'm fine with that. There's a hint of almond and the merest idea of lime swirling around. I only got the vetiver in the imp and while the oil was wet. Oh, there comes a little pine...let's hope it behaves! This is really sexy!

A disconcerting scent, heavy and oppressive, through which no light, no matter, and no spirit can escape. Black opium, labdanum, opoponax, black orchid, and benzoin. Dark and smoky--resins with orchids wafting over the top of them. I smell the opium but it's not jumping all over all the other notes like it often does on me. I'll keep this imp to age and see how it is in a few months, because this blend has great potential for yumminess.

I loved Seance and wanted to give Ouija a whirl, since they share some notes. This one starts out as strong rose, with that almost vinegary smell that some rose oils can have (ew!) but as it dries the lilac comes out and it actually smells like lilacs on me, which is unusual. The woods in the background give it some depth and keep it from smelling like old-lady floral powder. Very pretty and delicate.

This is drying down into baby powder on me too--how annoying, because it starts out as a lovely fresh mint! It's not boozy at all on me either. I wish the sugary mint stage would last but it's determined to go powdery. Rats!

Umbra smells overwhelmingly of vetiver when wet. As it dries the cedarwood dominates, with maybe a hint of patchouli floating around. No cinnamon to my nose at all. This does smell dark and eerie but it's a little too strong for me.
-
Fresh overturned dirt that dries down into dirt and roses. This is a pretty weird oil but it works! I could see this working well on a guy--the roses aren't overly perfumey and the dirt smells really...well, *clean*. Nice!

Wet: this is SO sweet it's like candy! Deliciously vanilla-y. As it dries it morphs from a vanilla floral to a floral vanilla--the orchid comes out more, and, mercifully, is not turning to powder or soap on me. This is beautiful! It's very sweet and girly. This is a keeper.
-
Apples and greenery--these aren't overly ripe apples but tart, crisp ones. More like the first apples of late summer than the late harvest of autumn. This is really fresh and clean-smelling! If I wanted an apple scent I'd probably go for this one.

This smells like musty, herbal anise. I would never have guessed there was pomegranate or verbena in here! It smells old and dark and dank--not for me at all, but a very unusual blend if you're into that sort of thing.

I smell green florals in this. Nothing that I can pick out in particular--it's just fresh, flowery, and springlike. It's *nice* but nothing I'd ever seek out to wear.
-
Crisp, fresh, green cucumbers! This would be fun to wear to a picnic at the height of summer. My only quibble is that it doesn't have much staying power, but it's very refreshing while it lasts.

I've had a book-crush on Crowley for years. Little did I know he smelled like sex in a bottle, too. This is sexy musky YUM. The closest comparision I can make is a masculine Smut, but I'd have no issues wearing this one either--it's not TOO manly. It's just GOOD!

I'm one of those people who got "plastic air" from Snow White, the oil, so it was neat to try it in soap form to see if it smelled any different. It does, and I like it...it's light and wintry and sort of coconutty at the same time, very pleasant and reminds me of Lush Snowcake. I'm unfortunately not a soap user though and this is a good example of why. It dries my skin like crazy and makes me very itchy. This is a nice thick slab of soap, though, and if I *were* into soap I'd definitely try some from BPTP.

I get lots of vetiver from this one while wet but it nearly disappears as it dries (disappearing vetiver has GOT to be a first for me!). A sweet ambery peach is left. I'm worried the florals are going to turn up late in the game and turn this to powder but it's very pleasant at the peachy stage. More refined that most peach blends are.
-
Elegba reminds me of coconut cookies--the coconut, or maybe the tobacco blended with it, has a slightly burnt-sugar quality to it. It's very sweet and foody. Nice for hot days! (Or nights. As the case may be.)

I've had good luck with fruit/patchouli blends lately, and less luck overall with peach ones, because, as has been noted, peach can turn to b.o. in a flash if you're not careful. But Imp! Imp is delicious!! The sweet, juicy peach is balanced out by the musk and patchouli, giving it a darkness that I haven't found in blends like Aglaea or The Temptation or Tamora. It's July now and peaches are in season and Imp is perfect, perfect, perfect for this time of year. Yummy! I wish I'd tried it sooner.

A dark and earthy evergreen, and surprisingly nice. I was prepared for a blast of Pine Sol but the earth and moss keep Nocnitsa from smelling like a cleaning product. I imagine this as a great room scent in winter.
-
Powdery lilac and rose over a background of green (ferns?). Very fresh, very springy--reminds me of Amsterdam and Prague! (The oils, not the cities.) Lilac lovers would adore this one.
-
A very faint pear that's nearly stamped out by the lily of the valley. I so wish LOTV worked on me. I love it. But it goes soapy on me with lightning speed. Nice soap though!
-
This is OH HAI VETIVER when wet but it dries down into a soft nice sandalwood with a faint fruity tinge from the neroli. It's pretty! I'm a little surprised that there are so few reviews for this one. Give it a try!
-
Now this is a winner. When wet Lyonesse smells just like the word "golden"...all vanilla and sandalwood and musk--it's delicious! As it dries a tangy saltiness comes out (ambergris?) that makes me think of saltwater taffy. It's warm and lush and light; some vanilla blends can be really overpowering but this isn't. I'm so glad I tried it--it's beautiful!
-
Dry, dry, dry spices! This smells like cinnamon sticks and allspice. It's not a sweet cinnamon at all (it actually reminds me a bit of Three Witches, with that hot, dry peppery smell). A yummy spice-rack blend. The presence of cinnamon AND cassia means I don't think I could truly wear this on my skin but it would make an amazing room scent. Plunder atmospheric spray, anyone?
-
Straight-up sweet pine. And I mean PINE. I've not tried many blends with pine and apparently, I amp it like whoa, because there is NOTHING here but pine and maybe a wee hint of patchouli. Definitely not for me, but I'm glad I tried her!
-
Warm and cinnamony. This reminds me a bit of Harlot, with the cinnamon and something rosey in the mix too. But there's something else floral in here that's giving it a distinct whiff of soap. So, FAIL.

I put this on before I checked out the notes and immediately thought "Aquatic??". Which I wouldn't have expected, and which I expect even less after reading the lab description. Blood orange? Amber? I got nothing. This is a salty, watery, trace-of-lilacy scent on me. How odd.
