Ooh, a very clean, oceanic scent. Unfortunately for me, my skin takes this and turns it into soap, as it does with pretty much all aquatics, I'm afraid.

Cold and snowy, and I can pick up the eucalyptus...but, yeah, mazikeen I'm getting the sour smell too - not bad sour, sort of a sweet sour, like umeboshi or a tangy berry. Very interesting. I'm on the fence as to whether or not to keep this one or pass it along to someone who will love it more... ETA: I think I smell orris in the drydown...pretty!

Oh noooo, it's just as I feared! The lily kills this for me.

Oh, man do those musks smell bad on me! Wooooooo!
-
Almonds and cinnamon - the almond/marzipan note plus the heat of the cinnamon make me think that this is what molten lava might smell like. Delicious. It does burn my skin a bit, but if I dilute it with a bit of carrier oil it is just fine. I like this a lot, but I don't think I'll want to smell like this all that often, so to the swaps it goes.

Yep, that is whiskey! *licks lips* Sadly, like most boozy notes, Mad Sweeney is giving me a headache.
-
Woo, straight up grape with a white musk back! Wine notes usually don't like me, and Prospero and I are not meant to be, I'm afraid.

This is lovely and almost works on me. Were it not for jasmine...

This is a bitter, soft wood at first, but it dries down in to an almost-honey sweet scent; very smooth with a grounding of fig and just the right touch of wood and cocoa. I'm wearing this on a first date tonight because it's so elegant in a very sexy, understated Sri Lanka sort of way. Thanks for the frimp, labbies! I love it.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the label looks like for Earth Rat.

Hot damn! I put this on and thought Mme. Moriarty + TKO = Vixen! At least to me. I like it - will have to see how it wears, but so far I'm really digging it.

Black Lace is a truly surprise love for me. ALL of the notes are on my mental gross to iffy lists, and yet somehow it is awesome. The vanilla is light and the smoky incense and tobacco give it a vintage feel instead of a burnt barbecue one - the cognac is delightful and sophisticated and is a minor miracle in and of itself (no headache!). The cream doesn't smell like ick. It smells, in fact, AMAZING. This is my dress up scent. Womanly and achingly sophisticated with a bluestocking, pipe-smoking petticoat underneath.

Warm, lightly sun-sweetened apricot. I can't pick out the tonka, but it's doing a fantastic job of keeping everything grounded and balanced. I may need a bottle to go in my 'antidepressant' section with Aglaea and Silence.

Mmm, I'm digging this. It smells earthy yet bubbly - how does it do that? Beth! Luckily I have a few days to decide if I need a bottle.

Woooo, carnation!

This is a lovely, unique mix of verbena and almond on me. I was really into it, but as it dries down something smells funny on me - I think my skin is doing odd things and it smells like it's clashing. I think it might be the thyme and the bergamot together. My skin is throwing Calliope out of whack.

Oooh! This smells like Ozymandias to me, only peppery somehow. The honey begins to emerge almost immediately. Within two minutes this is starting to smell weird - almost like meaty nail polish remover. Hmm, myrrh, is that you being horrid? I have no idea who the culprit(s) is/are.

Good luck! I hope she likes them. And hey, you should get something for yourself when you order!

I get a very yummy, brown sugary scent. Sadly, like most Snake Oil blends, this dries down to a funky powder smell. Not for me, I'm afraid.
-
I really liked this at first - it smelled very cool and almost a touch green to me. Sadly, my skin tuned it into soap.

Imperial violet softened by wisteria and chrysanthemum, but edged with the regal iciness of delphinium. A pretty floral, but too heavy on the violet for my taste, and it ended up going soapy.
-
My mom was a big Fendi fan, too. Now she wears Coco. I'd suggest Ozymandias or Odin, maybe even Coyote.

imp: sweet floral wet: hard to pick out the notes, but this is a sweet, wet floral dry: really pretty, softly fruity floral. I'm mostly getting the currant underneath with a sweet bite of honey and freesia on top. Very lovely.

*sigh* Jasmine turns this into burnt rubber tires on me, as expected.

Dorian smells very, very similar to Hanae Mori Butterfly to me. I like it, but it is a strong scent and with my chemistry it was strangely off and not great. Oh, skin.
