all I can say is cherries and wet pavement in almost-summer. LOVE IT
-
man - this was a disappointment. I am all about roses and they seem to work in all variations with my chemisty but this one went totally wonky. It started off as a great bloody rose and then it turned into a dying, semi rotting one. BOOOOOOOO
-
wow - everything that I hoped this one would be. wet - grapes, violets and plums dry - it picks up some greenery then turns back into a warm purple. All of the notes seem to blend perfectly together on the dry-down leaving me with not a single one shouting out - all play nice and make PURPLE!!!!

I hate to say it but this makes me think of the first time I walked into a Lush store in Sydney over 6 years ago. My nose and brain won't let me go any further than that. It is not a bad thing - I just can give this one the attention it wants because the brain is overriding everything else.

Talk about expecting one thing an sniffing quite another. I didn't look at the notes for this one beforehand. Maybe i should have. LOL It's clementines when wet and then it turns into orange hard candies. Not my cup of tea but quite a cheery scent.

did someone say this was a bit disturbing? Yes it is. Wet - orchid and plastic. What's up with that? Dry - How appropriate that I live in Thailand - because this smells like Thailand. Orchids everywhere! But I am not convinced that I like this one. It's the wet plastic smell that turns into something odd and sharp along with the flowers - almost like a mandarin gone rotten. The most curious part is that it is compelling. I keep sniffing at it. And it has a sort of spooky way about it. Odd indeed

Bahhhhhhhh... I am shocked that this is horribly average on me. I usually do well with anything that is dragon's blood resin. I expected this to be a bit fruitier. Instead it turns quite soapy with a vague hint of greenery - like rose leaves or stems. I don't hate it but I am not sure that I would wear it as there are so many other Ars Draconis blends that I like more. I will have to give this one another go later. I really want to like it.

gorgeous! wet - lilac, violet and musk - seems to be an almost pale lavender dry - the floral tones down and it starts to turn green but the lilac and violet remain. The sandalwood never shows up - which for me is a GOOD thing. It is very pretty but I almost like the wet version more than the dry. I will still keep this as it is perfect for the hellish humid climate here.

UNCLE!!! I give up sniffing for today. Everything has been bad. Wet - this is such a quiet scent. Pear, magnolia, an old rose and a strange sour green (plant-like, not fruity) note. Dry - pear, plumeria, the same sour note, and the magnolia and rose seem to die away. I can't say this is bad, but I can't say that I really like it either.

Bummer. I really wanted to like this one. Wet - almond, and a raging almond at that. Dry - something went wonky on me with this. It turned to soap and cinnamon.
-
I should probably stop testing things today. Everything has either been gross or disappointing. Wet - this one is awesome. Bloody red wine, a cola and myrhh. Dry - wine, myrhh and a hint of rose. But then it all melds together and somehow ends up as Dr Pepper. Bummer - this was so nice when it was wet.

Just plain yuck. wet - this is beautiful wet. It is a rainy, fresh new rose. dry - i get no pomegranate, but what I do get is a rose that has somehow rotted. Just nasty with my chemistry. Which is unfortunate because rose scents are always a winner but I guess the pom just wanted to be KING here eventhough I cannot smell it.

wet - rosewood, bergamot and musk dry - I am sort of surpirsed that I like this one as much as I do. I wouldn't have thought this combo would work on me. It melds into quite a lovely scent. It pretty much stays true to the wet version as I don't get any of the violet or chamomile that some others are getting. Not great enough for a full bottle - but I'll keep the imp.
-
First off - I am a sucker for anything violet. Wet - a handful of water drenched violets. dry - the violets soften up and here comes the dirt. Damn the vetivert!!!!
-
yuck - cinnamon. Not my first choice for a body scent. wet and dry this is cinnamon and patchouli with a slight metallic twang. It smells like a headshop. Not for me.
