I tend to do well with woody smells, but not too grat with flowers, so I unsure how this one will work for me... Wet, this smells familiar. What is that? I KNOW I know this scent... Wintergreen BreathSavers! As this dries, it softens beautifully to a very soft scent - a soft mint is still the main note I'm picking up, but I'm feeling more of the woondyness come out... Later, I get a VERY mild hint of the forext flowers that are mentioned. I wasn't sure about this when I first put it on, but within 10 minutes, I knew it was a keeper... Not sure it's an everyday scent for me, but it feels energizing without being overpowering, and is very pretty. I'll definitely replace the imp when this one's done.

this started out as a really nice, light, fruity scent - the cranberry blended with something else seemlessly, to the point were i wouldn't have been able to identify which fruit was the main note, except that it was not overly sweet... this is lovely. As it dries, though, it smells more strongly of a floral, which my chemistry doesn't do well with... still a nice scent, but as it dried, it became too strong for me to wear.

Wow... it's like I tried a different perfume altogether! This one sounded interesting to me base don all the reviews of a light, sweet scent. when I first put this on, it was like a very wet, ripe, sweet smelling fruit. It immediately started to get stronger - still in the fruity type of scent, but super sweet, and the scent seemed to just amp up... I liked the scent, but couldn't get away from it; the throw was incredible, and didn't fade for hours... It's a nice smell nitially, but this is just too overpowering for me.

I hadn't really thought of ordering this one, as lemony scents just don't seem to work on me, no matter how mcuh I want them to. That being said, I got this one in a trade, and I'm so glad! Wet, this was very much straight lemon (or the lemon verbena, I guess). I love this phase. On the drydown, the orange blossom makes a brief appearance, and the lemon note softens (not less scent, just a less sharp scent). Dry, the honeysuckle makes its debut, along with what I assume is the scent of heliotrope; these 2 notes now share equally with the lemon verbena. This is lovely; light and breezy - perfect for summer.

OMG!!! I got a sniffie of this in a trade, and immediately fell head over heels in love. In the imp, it smelled amazing, but the moment I put it on, I was done for. Now, I HAVE to find more of this, which is next to impossible. Wet, this scent was an amazing spicy vanilla. As it dried, the vanilla toned down just a touch, and the spices seemed to develop, as well as a bit of the amber and plum... but still blended incredibly... like I could visualize each note intertwined with the other, like a rope of ivy. The scent just got better every time I sniffed my wrists, which I did for hours. I was actually amazed with the staying power of this, and how the scent kept evolving, but not changing into anything different. My absolute favourite, by far!

i LOVE foody scents, and apple and cranberries sounded heavenly to me. the only reason i didn't buy this one when i first read about it was i wanted to combine it with a yule order once it came out... I had a chance to try a friend's, and it was totally different than i expected. for the first 5 seconds or so, this is a strong apple cidery scent. Very quickly, though, it turned to a cheap, plastic-like alcoholic apple cider smell. i'm so disappointed in this, but i'm glad i had a chance to try it before i bought a bottle...

I'm not usually fond of lavendar, but i love mint and lime, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Wet, this is a pretty even mix of lime and mint. this is interesting. as it dries, the lime recedes a bit... the scent also starts to get slightly greener, I guess the herbs are making their appearance. hmm, sort of interesting, but i liked it better wet... not sure about this one, may have to try it again later...

oh, this one is just not me. i'm not sure what it is, but something in here is reacting badly on me. when i put it on, I had to force myself to wait for the drydown, rather than scrubbing it off immediately. As it dries, that initial note, whatever it was, that went wacky on me, recedes... once it's completely dry, i get the light laundry scent. I don't mind this stage, but not something i'd wear at all... maybe as a room scent.

Wet, this scent smells very grapefruity. Oh, how I love citrusy smells! As it dries, the grapefruit recedes and the musk and florals come out more. It's still a nice, light/mild scent. Although I would probably wear this occasionally, I probably won't buy a bottle of this.

On me, this scent is a very well blended, slightly spicy scent as it goes on. It's a bit on the sharp side, but this mellows quickly during the drydown. Knowing the notes, I can find the pepper specifically, but the others are just adding to the "slightly spicy blend" smell... I think I'll keep the imp, but I'll probbably not buy more of this one.

well, i ordered this one not because i thought i would wear it, but because i was intrigued by the combination of eucalyptus, pine and orange. I love all three scents individually, but just couldn't picture how they would smell together. In the end, I think this would be interesting for a guy, but not me. the wet stage was the only one i really disliked, as it smelled like Halls cough drops on me. As it begins to dry down, though, the pine and orange catch up. For about 30 minutes, the pine is in the forefront, then I get an orangy-eucalyptus smell. I think the phases on this one are really interesting, even if it's not a scent i would want to wear. the other thing i noticed about this one is that it seemed to be 3 layered scents as opposed to a blend of the three, if that makes sense.

this scent is another that stays pretty stable on me, and doesn't morph or go through any discernable stages at all. This smells flowery/resiny to me through all stages. It's actually a pretty nice smell (which seems odd to me since I don't usually like florals), but a little too strong for my taste, and as it has incredible throw, I kept catching a whiff of it any time I moved... I think that dragon's blood seems to just come through really strong wiht my chemistry in any scent i've tried. If the dragon's blood were even slightly less strong, I think this would be really nice for me. As it is, I'm glad I tried it, but will swap this for another scent.

this was a lot sweeter than i expected. it's a very nice scent. from wet to completely dry, it smells like a very sweet musk. A little too feminine for my test, but lovely nonetheless.

OMG!!! This is amazing... Although I love foody smells, I wasn't too sure about smelling like chocolate, but this is awesome. This scent was very stable, and smelled the same from the moment I put it on until it faded out - pure, rich, chocolate (nut not overwhelming in any way) with a thick creamy undertone (is that vanilla cream?), which I think is what made the scent for me. I couldn't stop sniffing my wrists all evening. Definitely buying lots more of this!

Still not familiar with the smell of dragon's blood resin, and having had a bad experience with my last Ars Draconis, I was a little leary to try this, but I decided to try this to see if it was the dragon's blood note that was the issue for me. This scent seems very stable, and doesn't change on me. Apparently the note I disliked in the Dragon's Tears was the dragon's blood, but I actually don't mind it in this blend. I'm not sure how you get perfume to smell leathery, but this one seems like a leathery dragon's blood scent. I think this scent is more masculine than i would want for myself, and it has amazing throw, so i need to take it off, but I'd like it on someone else. Off to the swaps for this one.

This was a frimp, and i had no concept of what Dragon's Blood Resin smelled like coming into this, so it's difficult to pick out individual notes. Wet, this smelled quite salty; surprising to me for a perfume, but not in a bad way. Not sure what I smell or how I feel about this as it dries down. Dry, the scent was slightly sweeter and spicier at the same time, if that makes sense - sort of like salty incense. I need to get this off; it keeps getting stronger, and is starting to get to me. Apparently, this is not a good scent on me, so off to the swaps for this one.

well, none of the individual ingredients in this are ones I tend to go for, but I have been pleasantly surprised by other BPAL scents before, so I gave this one a try... on me this seems like a very even blend of the patchouli, rose and sandalwood. Unfortunately, none of these smells is really good for me, but if you like any of these notes, it may be for youo. This one goes up for trade...

Frankinscence tends to take over on me, but since I love foody smells, I was glad to try this one due to the almond. Wet, this is like liquid almond extract on me... I like the smell, but it has incredible throw, and I'm not sure if i want to smell like I spilled the bottle of almond extract on me while cooking... Dry, the scent stays pretty much the same, with the frankinscence making an appearance on the late dry-down... I was unsure about this one wet, but liquid almond extract with the frankinscence isn't a good mix for me.

This scent stays true for the whole time it's there, only fading slightly. On me, this is a well blended scent, with two notes sharing the forefront, giving it a woodsy scent with a hint of cocoa; I can't really identify the fig in this. I quite like this one, and think it would be a great amazing for a guy.

This one was educational for me... I knew i tended not to like scents that are floral based, but thought i'd try this one, as I tend to like citrus scents. Wet, this was lemony, and fresh. For about 5 minutes, it morphed into something very close to lemon Pledge, and then the rose raced to the front... A soft rose, with a hint of lemon in the backgroung; unfortunately, the rose just isn't me. The scent has pretty good staying power, so I'd definitely recommend this one for anyone who likes rose-based scents.

I love foody smells, and anise is one of my favourite smells, so I was excited to try this. This scent stayed the same on me from the time I applied it right up to when it disappared entirely: mild anise (the rest of the scents just blend into a very faint background note to give me a "what's that other note" feel). I love this! Unfortunately, my skin drinks this stuff, and after 30 minutes, it has completely disappeared.

Alas, this one starts out wonderfully, but morphs quickly with my whacky body chemistry... Wet, this is great, sort of a fresh, spice/zing from the ginger, which is the prominant note for me, and a hint of something else (all the other notes seem to blend into one lovely, softly sweet smell); I love this! After a few minutes, though, this quickly turns sharp on me, still with the ginger in the forefront, but reminds me of a really sharp ginger-scented Mr. Clean. Once completely dry, this softens a bit, but I don't think I could wear this, so it goes up for trade so someone else can love it.

I'm not typically a big fan of coconut, but I got this as a frimp, and was glad to try it out. Although it's not one I'll buy, I'll probably keep and use the imp. Wet, this was a slightly flowery, slightly musky coconut scent. As it dried, it kept the same balance of notes, but softened a bit. After about an hour, it also gained a slightly powdery scent. To be honest, I don't usually like when a scent goes powdery, but this is the stage I liked best with this scent; it seemed to blend in well, and toned down the coconut nicely. This also had a decent throw.

I thought I liked this one at first, but as it dried, I began to wonder whether I would ever wear it... It began as a mild bergamot smell with a hint of orange. As it dried, the other notes began to supercede the orange. The bergamot was still present, but either the neroli or mimosa mixed with it seemed really bitter. Although I quite like this one wet, and would love it on someone else, it just doesn't work with my chemistry.

I'm with you on this one Carolyn... Silk Road isn't a scent I ever would have thought to try, as I tend to like the really obviously foody smells, but this was lovely... It's not necessarily an every day scent for me, but definitely one I'd wear occasionally. I'm not really good at picking out individual notes yet, so here's my general impression of how this scent worked for me. Wet, this is slightly spicy and very sweet. I tend to not like scents that are too sweet, but this one calms down on the drydown, with the spice coming up a bit more to tone down the sweetness. Once it's completely dry, it keeps the same balance between the spice and sweetness, but is much softer, and quite nice as a light summer scent.
