    Geburah

smoke and leather. a little soapy. i really like it. i think this goes on the bottle list.

    Kether

opened it up: ALMONDS. once i put it on, the almonds calmed down and it became a creamy almond scent. hm. not sure if i like it, but it's definitely warm.

    Chesed

this somewhat reminds me of alecto with something herbal instead of the earthiness of vetiver.

    Chokmah

it doesn't remind me of rootbeer, but it's definitely spicy and musky. i don't know the spice off the top of my head, but it's not fennel/anise, or at least the kind i cook with. it's a familiar smell, though. i may beg a decant off of someone, but i don't love it enough to buy a full bottle.

myrrh! yum! there's definitely some incensey-wood action going on, with some florals. and like clover, they get a little soapy, so i wouldn't be surprised if there was lily. but mostly, i smell the myrrh. and maybe some musk? it's really light, though.
  7. Beth is out of town with Convergence 11, so she asked me to do the lunacy update. + A LITTLE LUNACY FLOWER AND MILK MOONS -- May marks the apex of the year’s fertility, expresses the reawakening of the sexuality of the Earth and her inhabitants, and May’s full moon celebrates both the fecundity of the creatures and flora of this world and the vibrancy, rejuvenation and life-affirming energy of Spring. Flower Moon embodies the unrestrained bliss, energy and color of the season: a bouquet of vivid, sexy blooms… tulip, daffodil, violet, dewdrop, rhododendron, iris, daisy, and a mix of California wildflowers. Milk Moon is its warmer, gentler cousin; it is a scent that emulates the closeness of child and mother. In it, cream and warm honey soften our traditional blend of lunar oils. Enjoy the extra bonus moon!

    Can we order single notes?

you have to click the "advanced mode" link underneath the "search!" button and go down to the "scent availability" option and change it to either be "does not include" with "current scents" OR "includes only" with "discontinued scents". as well, it'd help to change the category to "includes only" with "single notes".

    Can we order single notes?

i am going to open this thread back up however, any and all posts inquiring about returning single notes or which single notes they'd love to see back WILL be split and if there are enough of them, i may be irritated enough to warn.
  10. We have had a few complaints about signatures that were too long. So, the maximum signature length has been changed -- signatures can be no larger than 1,250 characters long now. This may be reduced further to 1,000 characters. Please check the length of your signature and edit it if it is too long. If you see someone with a signature that you believe is too long, don't hesitate to report one of their posts -- there will be no warnings issued for too-long signatures. Thanks!

  14. Since I've received several queries on the subject, you CAN keep successful swap info in your swap threads.
  15. First of all, for those of you who subscribe to this forum for e-mail announcements and didn't get the last announcement, I apologize; we forgot to switch the default mail handler. Since several people have listed in their signature a list of who all they have successfully swapped with, and some of the lists are getting lengthy, we have decided to add an item to the profiles to let you list them there. Please use that to list your successful swaps and any related information (ebay feedback, pending swaps). If you see someone listing your name inappropriately, please let them know. In one week, we ask that you report individuals who have successful swap information in their signature. We will edit signatures that have that information in it. If we do it, it will NOT be moved over to the profile, though we may PM the individual with that information and a link to this topic. Likewise, any other swap-related information ("Desperately seeking..." or "Looking to swap/sell...") belongs in the swap forum NOT your signature. Anything edited after May 1 will be warned. Thanks!
  16. like blackrayne, i got this one for ritual purposes (namely, help in finding a FT job) and plan to use it as such -- it'll be living in the back of my entertainment center with my other supplies. but it's orangey spicy goodness. my left hand smells fabulous.

    Bravery, Courage, Confidence, Intimidation, Power

DORIAN! it's a lovely lemony vanillay tea scent. the tea isn't that strong on me, it's mostly vanilla that's been perked up by a faint lemoned tea. if you can find it, queen of diamonds is divine - it's a lovely grapefruit scent, and very reagal and capable.

    The Best Mint Blends

shattered and ellegua (black broom scent) are THE minty scents. juke joint should be a lovely boozy mint ultraviolet is minty, as is viscomte de valmont

    Spooky

right hand: spooky 03 wet - coconut. cocoa. lightly minty. drying - coconut. mint. cocoa dry - cocoa. boozy. mint. thin mints and booze indeed. *happy sigh* still like this alot. left hand: spooky 04 wet - MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINT. drying - MIIIIIIIIIINT. coconut. something slightly bitter, the cocoa no doubt. more drying - thin mints. no booze. no real coconut. sad. dry - ooo there's the boozy coconut. now it's a boozy thin mint! though more cocoa than mint and both had backed off QUITE a bit. dry, the difference between the two is pretty simple: last year's is definitely thin mint and booze. this year's is more coconut than thin mint, but the thin mint's still there. it's quite nice.
  22. the living flame has a gourmandy action going on during part of it's development, but there's also florals and musks, so if you're not a fan of those...

    Dilution and Carrier Oils

for what it's worth, i'm going to try diluting with the fragranceless neutragena body oil that andra mentioned, and see if it does a decent job of rolling. i just need to remember to stop by walmart/target/walgreens to get some

    Fiery Command

this is one lovely oil! definitely has the lush florals going on, but i keep smelling something else that i can't quite put my finger on. not going to worry about it, though i think that i will have to look into getting a good-rolling neutral-smelling carrier oil because it's just a little to strong for me to wear full strength. i can smell it right now as i'm typing this, even though i only put a drop on my hand (which is, of course, down by the keyboard). it really reminds me of datura, though! i bet they'd partner together very well. to clover for sharing an imp with me
