pluto is a strange, strange beast. it's kind of bitter/metallic in the vial.. the moment it touched my skin, it became aquatic. as it's drying, it's kind of like undertow without the rotting wood (though there's still a woody presence) or super strong mint. not sure if i adore, but i think i like it. we'll have to bond some more.

by default, it searches for 'or' - for queen of spades, you want to search 'and' -- right now, it doesn't recognize phrases, only individual words. when you searched for the caterpiller, if you included the word "the" in there, it brought back every scent with "the" in it. so when it said it was searching for "queen OR of OR spades" it was literally looking for everything with queen, of, or spades in the name or description. if you switch it to and, it becomes two results (king & queen of spades). the advanced search page, which will be coming out whenever i finish the pluralization thing, will have an option to allow you to search titles, descriptions, or both, and to restrict it to one category (eg, love potions). search exact phrase will also be added to the options.. while those won't eliminate the above, it'll help. unrelated, a friend of mine is working on something for "did you mean...?" because he has nothing better to do.

I can't speak for last year's Yule LE's, but none of the other LE's from this year (Lunacy, June Gloom, etcetera) have had special labels. The new ones sound cool, though! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the les i ordered last yule didnt have special labels BUT they were in green bottles

i'd try to help and reassure, but my orders last year came in oct, dec, and march... completely avoided the worst of winter because i was too po' eta: but more on the point, here's a list of oils and freezing points. i just got her in a swap today and oh boy, is this one that i'm sad i missed. i LOVE mabon. the blackberry wine doesn't go super grapey like most wine scents do. it's an earthy scent (the oak, ivy, hops, and hazel), a tiny bit of cinnamon weaves in and out. the myrrh and cider are great notes too.

it wouldn't. the word in the red queen is "cherries" - the search doesn't have a list of notes to search, just the descriptions.

oh. my. god. i haven't been able to stop smelling myself all day. unlike most winey scents, it doesn't go (GRAPE APE GRAPE APE) on me. creamy coconut, slightly boozey, slightly smokey, just a hint of leather... i feel like i should be out and creating mischief.. i don't know that i'll buy a bottle, but since i gave my imp to my waitress tonight (she asked what i was wearing because she liked it) i'll definitely be buying another imp of this, specifically for the cruise i'm going on in january..

it's the reverse on me, it starts off a lovely jasmine-coffee floral that fades into mostly coffee.

HAMADRYAD!! it has a cinnamon that comes in and out as it morphs, with a nice light floral/woody balance... yummy

i've got 32. -> anyone who wants to swap an imp's of chaos theory, i'd love to try some of these others. i smell some musk and maybe vanilla, and sweet.. and a hint of leather. some sort of flower is peeking out. this one smells way different in the bottle than it does on me (bottle->'ick, sharp, what did i get myself into?', me->mmm yummy). this is well blended together enough that it's hard to pick out notes. and the fact that i spilled a little snow white on my desk didn't help much

i havent tried it yet, because there were many others, but in the bottle, it was a nicely balanced mint and orange.
