it wasn't there when i made the database (which was verified before i gave elizabeth the url for the search form last weekend), or the excel spreadsheet that preceeded the database and that was made around 12/7/03.

it was sin & salvation it smelled like buttered popcorn, both in the bottle and on me. totally not what i want to smell like.

my experience with oil vs alcohol based is that oil tends to last longer than alcohol -- for instance, when i came back from studying in france, i brought back two perfumes (one oil based, one alcohol based), the oil based is still going on strong three and a half years later, and the other one had to be thrown out about a year and a half after i returned. they were from the same parfumerie, if that makes any difference in your mind.

lilith was totally sour and gross on me but my friend ali (whose online moniker is lilith!) totally loves it on her

i think it's a pretty light scent, it doesn't want to intrude on you too much. musty old books. contemplative. reflection.

yes!! it's definitely more a storm by a large body of water than a storm in the middle of the plains.

an earthy floral, very piney wet, but the pine tones down a bunch on dry down i lurve it, i'm not a *huge* fan of florals, but this is one that just makes me happy it's definitely a more formal feeling perfume than, say, loviatar it doesn't smell like just roses to me, though, which is why i say floral rather than just rose.

i love rose red, it's the smell of a JUST cut rose, i was and am absolutely amazed that elizabeth captured that smell i got it for my mom and my apartment smelled so pretty for awhile because there had been some on the plastic or on the box i'm sooo sad i didn't get to buy some but my mom is thrilled beyond belief, it's the rose scent she's always been looking for

this is from something i wrote earlier this month... while i wouldn't say it's an old lady scent, i'm fond of it as a room scent

i'm just loving on voodoo right now. patchouli and vanilla, and something murkier (the myrrh or vetier), with a hint of almond.. sex all the way, but totally different than, say, snake oil. snake oil's more of a slithery "come hither and let me seduce you" and voodoo's more of a "you come here and seduce me"

i like this scent, rather calming but it's one i'm going to have to bond with more to describe

i told the bust scent thread: but, i thought that the apricot was rather overwhelming when it was wet and i don't particularly care for apricots the fruit, so i guess its not really a huge surprise that i didn't care for the apricot in the scent after awhile, though, it chilled out on the apricot and was good, the floral and musk were more prominant.. but that initial wet *I AM APRICOT HEAR ME ROAR* stage totally turns me off of the perfume. so, it's one of the ones that ended up in my mom's pile of bpal after i culled my collection of samples.
