  1. out of curiousity, beth, have you thought about making a subscription to the lunar series? there's 7 of the ones (if i counted correctly!) for this year, so it could be like the 7 deadly sins, all 7 for $70 - and no worries from us for missing the day :P

  2. it's probably because i imported/exported it with ms office to get rid of fields people don't need to see.

what's there right now is up-to-date, and has the exact output from the database's csv export function. (which does work in openoffice, since that's all i have on the laptop i'm using for the summer - and if i remember, i'll go through and take out the extra fields tomorrow)

  3. Details will be provided as soon as I finish wrestling with tonight's mini-update

i was gonna stay up to add em, but there's work in oh 6 hours.

    fuck the trains.

    *squeeeeeeeeze*

btw did you get my note about mad tea party?

  4. So, we can't purchase them until the 6th, but they're going up on the site on Monday?

Nope, we can purchase 'em on Monday, just not directly from the search engine.

Morrighana is correct! (except it's tuesday that's the 1st, not monday)

you can purchase it by paypal or ccnow on the first in the normal locations (the category pages).

but there will be no impulse buying from the search engine for the new stuff until at least the 6th (more likely the 7th or 8th - next weekend is OH so busy.. inet guy coming at 9 on sat, followed by travelling for a wedding/the wedding/the reception/the after-reception party (for "the group" since it's the last time we'll all be together until the next wedding, most likely), followed by driving home to my parents' and sleeping for about 6 hours & going to my brother's graduation ceremony and then his party and and and ....)

there can be impulse buys from the search engine for NON-new stuff before then :P

(in order to set it up to purchase in the search engine, i need to know the id# of the perfume within ccnow & i don't know that at this time)

  5. they're all in the search engine, and i'll probably activate them tonight at andy's because i'll be without internet for a week, but unlike the rest, you won't be able to buy big bottles from the results of the search engine. that'll hafta wait til at least 6/6.

oo poop i wasn't going to say anything about that... ah well. now you know...

  6. very soft, sweet musk. very light, warm. i like it, but i don't know if i'll buy a bigger bottle.

eta: as it dried, it got slightly spicy and more musky in a very yummy and sexy kind of way. i changed my mind, i want a bigger bottle!

  7. did i mention that as of august, i will have had 18 addresses over the course of the last 7 years? and that doesn't include all the one or two week "vacations" between school and whatever where i crashed at my parents' (or my boyfriend's).... 18!

...so i am REALLY hoping to find a decent place that i like in albuquerque, because i will *hopefully* not move for about 3, 3.5 yrs (the ms/mba program is 3.5-4 yrs long). which means, by god it needs a dishwasher, a washer dryer, a/c, cable, and two bedrooms (so i don't have to sleep with the kitty litter and can pretend my office/kitty litter room is a guest room). and a patio area would be bonus.

plus, i literally have more than 30 cubic feet of books. that's only going to get worse now that i'm in grad school.

  8. hopefully the lotus will go away, but it's as strongly pink bubblegum as black lotus was for me...

...yeah, it didn't go away and it's more bubble-gummy on my mom. le sigh.

  9. my very first impression, in the bottle, was a metallic tang, the scent equivalent to the feeling you get when you put you (wet) lip against an almost-but-not-quite-dead 9v battery. a tang, a quick zap, but not really unplesant (or maybe i'm the only one warped that way). i ~think~ it might be the combination of sage and mint that i'm smelling, but i'm not sure.

  10. it was sarcasm :P

actually, this isn't like "pack everything i own and move" moving... it's more "toss my clothes in a few suitcases, drag dad along 'cause he won't let me borrow the truck to grab my entertainment electronics (and we all know how important THAT is), grab me pantry and haul it all of 70 miles away" move...

uhm, in engineering-land, interns are provided with furnished housing, for "free"... so it's not half as painful as august will be, where i have to move EVERYTHING to new mexico. and that's gonna be such a huge pain because my dad's insisting on a 6x12' trailer.

  11. so i've got to check into my apt for the summer friday, and the cable folks won't be coming out for a whole week to hook it up. (and that right there is a melodrama in of itself, because they're coming the day of my friend's wedding - thankfully i'm not a bridesmaid, just a guest - so i have to get them in and out by 11 so i can dress and leave, and my roommate's not going to be around to keep them there)

anyways, i'll probably dash back to finish painting (slackerslacker, i won't have the ceiling done) and to go grocery shopping in the parents' freezer & pantry on saturday/sun...

but on the bright side, i won't be moving again until august and if all goes well, i won't be moving for at least two years then! that'll be nice. i'd like to have a year where i don't move three times...

  12. Brilliant. Radiant. Sparkling. So many of our words reflect (!) the power and glory of light. When we turn on the light in a room, we illuminate it so that all the dark corners are visible. When we turn on the light in our minds, we are enlightened. We see clearly and understand the truth. Both within and without, the energy of light expands our limits and makes us shine.

Throughout history, people have honored the Sun as the source of light and warmth. In the myths of many cultures, the Sun is a prominent god - full of vigor and courage. He is the vital energy center that makes life on earth possible. In the tarot the Sun also symbolizes vitality and splendor. The Sun is definitely not a meek and retiring card.

In readings, you will understand Card 19 if you imagine yourself to be a Sun God. How do you think and feel? You have total confidence in yourself. You are not cocky, but profoundly sure of your power. You have unlimited energy and glow with health. You have a greatness about you and stand out brilliantly. Finally, you see and understand all that is happening within your sphere. When you see this card, know that you will be successful at all you undertake. Now is the time to let your light shine.  ~source

sunny, a lighter version of the bubbley smell that feu follet has, warm, energetic. i don't really have a sense of the smells, though...
