Wet: Tangy, musty, wood, no fruit notes at all. Drydown: Gets a little lighter and less offensive as it dries...little more of the orange and berry but still very musky on me. Almost manly.
-
Hmm, not beachy light I thought. I don't get the salt scent at all. Wet: Took me a minute but it's honeydew melon...possibly with salt...if I sniff hard enough. Very light and fun. Drydown: A little more sunscreen and salt now. Pretty fantastic. If the ocean calls you, this scent will be right up your alley.

Hmmm. Very light and fun! Wet: Tangy right out of the bottle. Like sweet fruity candy with a light floral. Drydown: A very, very light floral. Totally disappears on me after a few minutes.
-
Wet: Floral and soapy, but not in a bad way. Very light, clean laundry. Drydown: Still fairly floral, but not overpowering. Lasts all day on me!! Very few scents do that.
-
Mmmmm ocean in the summer Wet: Coconut Drydown: Beachy with a light salt. Sadness, this doesn't last long on me.
-
Hmmm...not at all what I expected. I don't get floral at all. Wet: Tang, right off the bat, but quickly fades Drydown: Sweet innocence. Clean, light, lovely. The more I sniff it the more I want a bottle.
-
Oh, why hello citrus! Wet: Fruit-tastic. More citrus than anything but can definitely smell the neroli undertone Drydown: A little more neroli a little less fruit. Still pretty fantastic. Not my normal smell but I'm liking it.
-
It's definitely a smack in the face. Wet: Perfumey. Floral perfume. Don't get the wine at all. Drydown: Still very heavy floral. Reminds me of my grandmother so I guess that's nice.

That is too funny. Did not know that existed.

I'm waiting on imps of Cthulhu and R'lyeh right now. They should be here by Friday. I'll try and remember to let you know my thoughts.
-
I just ordered an imp of Cthulhu to try. I have one of Black Pearl but I think it's lacking the ocean scent. It is maybe a little sweeter than I have in mind. Maybe if I layer the two!! Cannot WAIT for my order to get here!!! Lol.
-
I just read the description for Calico Jack....thoughts on that one??
-
The Jimmy Buffett fan in me is screaming "THANK GOD THE TIKI BAR IS OPEN" every time I hear mention of this one. Man I'm sad I missed the boat on it. Good luck in your quest. I won't stand in your way.

Thank you guys so much for your advice!! My sister is buying me one for my birthday and I think I'll go with Obatala based on what you all have described. Probably will get imps of the other ones...because as Sunshinedaisybliss says...if you love something buy 27 bottles of it. LOL!!! Might as well try all the ocean scents!!! That signature cracked me up though. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! MUST HAVE ALL THE SNIFFS!!!!! I'm making a spreadsheet of my sniff-wish and own list...instead of doing my homework. Thanks guys. My advisor is going to hate me.

Thank you all for your input! I think I have an imp of Windward Passage at home and it didn't make that big of an impression on me...I'm thinking it wasn't sweet/suntan-y enough. I'll have to sniff it again when I get home. I was debating Obatala, Sea Foam's Milk, Y'ha-Nthlei and Cthulhu. I guess I should just do an imp order. Thanks for all the suggestions!! Keep them coming!!
