On me: That's patchouli, alright. But there's something fruity in here somehow. Also a "dust" note.
-
On me: Mostly carnation in a soft tea base. The rose is there but subtle. This is grown up and elegant, but it's fading fast.
-
On me: Pure anise. Bah. Can't smell it longer to pick anything out.
-
On me: Strongly herbal. Getting some citrus from the mandarin, but not as much as I would have expected. However, it's still got a Pledge feel to it, which I often get from citrus scents. Moderately musky. Touch of tea, not really getting the tonka, tobacco, or cocoa.

On me: Lots of honey and myrrh. This is very pretty and very "grown up." Not girly at all, despite the honey. Not really getting many florals. The myrrh and honey combination almost gives a chocolate feel.

CT2: CLXXII - Ooh! Honey, milk, a bit of almonds. Delicious!! Score = 5. Last reviewed by roesmoker. CT2: CCCXIX - Incense, smoke, patchouli, some light florals. Score = 4 Last reviewed by Nachtwulf. CT2: CIII - Almond and pine and something chemically. Also maybe a bit of leather? This is an odd scent. Score = 3 Previously reviewed by Nachtwulf. CT2: CCLXXX - Mint, something dusty, something floral but not rose. Not sure how I feel about this one. Score = 3 Last reviewed by yeahbutnobut. CT2: XXXVI - Chocolate plus something dusty or earthy. Not foody, really, but an undertone of foodiness. Score = 4 Last reviewed by cuervosueno. -
Chaos Theory III: Strange Attractors
supremegoddessofall replied to shelldoo's topic in Limited Editions
CT3: CCXXII - Aquatics, light florals. Pretty. Score = 5 Last reviewed by slave1. CT3: MCC - Honey, touch of rose. Pretty. Score = 5 Previously reviewed by roesmoker. CT3: DXLIII - Cherry, something spicy, something a bit medicinal. A bit of mint and chocolate? It's kind of chocolate cherry mint toothpaste. Very strange. Can't decide if I like it or not. Score = 3 Previously reviewed by sookster. CT3: CXXIV - Fairly spicy, but some florals in here, including either neroli or ylang ylang, neither of which like me. I think I'm getting some juniper, too. Has a Christmas feel to it. I think I'll test it again. Score = 3 CT3: CLXXVII - Not liking this one at all. It smells like a sweaty lockerroom. Score = 2 Last reviewed by slave1. -
In bottle: Mostly chocolate with a touch of "sharp" - pepper? On me: Starts off mostly chocolate. The dragon's blood starts coming out as it dries, as do the spices, and the chocolate mellows out. Not my favorite chocolate scent, but pretty good. Fades pretty quickly, moderate throw.

In bottle: Sandalwood and vetiver, with some light florals. On me: Definitely musky. Somewhat aquatic in tone. The wood here is in the cedar family, and it's the dominant note.

In bottle: Sweet, almost fruity floral. On me: Play-doh. Not that I dislike the scent of Play-doh, but for perfume? I'll probably give this one one more shot, but then may end up swapping it.
-
In bottle: Lemon and vetiver, with a touch of plum. On me: Whether or not I'll like this scent will largely depend on whether or not lemon rears its head - I hate lemon, but I love all the other notes. *sniff* Dammit to hell, the lemon is right on top. Herbals underneath. Not getting the patchouli or plum at all - sob! Semi-aquatic, good throw, but unfortunately the lemon kills it for me.
-
In bottle: Old Spice. On me: Barely there, but definitely a men's cologne feel. Kind of indistinct. I'll need to test it again.
-
In bottle: Aquatic men's cologne. On me: Very pretty aquatic amber. Medium throw. Delicate.
-
In bottle: Carnation and musk. On me: Sweet and spicy and floral and good! Musk is moderate here. Throw is very light. The phlox and the carnation come out more than the iris does. This is a soft spring floral.
-
In bottle: Cold, light florals. Lilac? On me: Chemical rose. Something sharp underneath that's burning my nose.
-
In bottle: Cold florals. On me: Turning a bit medicinal. It's still floral, but there's something underneath that has a lurky quality of medicine or antiseptic stuff. Uh oh. Now it's turning into cat pee. Ugh. Alas, cat pee is not for me.
-
In bottle: Upscale men's cologne. On me: Upscale men's cologne. I get some herbals, maybe a touch of lavender. Rugged but somehow delicate, too.
-
In bottle: Astringent and sharp florals. On me: Fairly indistinct florals. A bit spicy, too. I like it.
-
In bottle: Rich fruit. On me: Very sweet! Obviously dragon's blood is prominent. Very spicy, but it's a sweet spice - I think from the pomegranate? Not really getting much smoke.
-
In bottle: Cherries. On me: Holy astringent, Batman! This is *very* strong, and very medicinal smelling. Cherry cough syrup? Definitely not for me.
-
In bottle: All cranberry and blackberry, with a hint of evergreen. On me: The pine is coming out more, but the fruit is still behind it. As it warms, the tomato leaf is coming out. Very interesting, but not for me.
-
In bottle: I can't really smell anything. On me: Vetiver and dragon's blood. Lightly spicy, fairly subtle.
-
In bottle: Mint and citrus. On me: Barely there, but mostly florals. My skin ate this one. I'll have to test it again later.
-
A travel blend. Calms nerves, alleviates tension, soothes jetlag. In bottle: Smells like almost pure lavender. On me: Lots of lavender, but I'm getting something else behind it. Some aquatics? Smells like a good sleep blend, but not something I would probably want to wear.

In bottle: Aquatics and light citrus. On me: Orange-scented leathers in the ocean? Yuck.
