Cinnamon and roses should be an interesting combination. *sniff* A good combination. I'm getting the cinnamon on top and the roses underneath. Very rich, somewhat Christmasy.

As light and innocent as your first time should have been. The fresh scent of lotus hidden behind lightly scented flowers, amber, and citrus. Something in this smells sour. I'm actually not getting much citrus - I think I'm getting mostly lotus and an icky rose.
-
Holy licorice, Batman! Much anise in this one. I hate anise like the plague. Something floral underneath, but the anise is killing everything else, really. Bye, bye imp.

When I put this on, "vile" is not a strong enough description. My girlfriend's reaction of "Eww, corn chips and ass" was actually pretty darned accurate. Now that it's had a chance to dry, honey is doing its thing and amping all to hell. I think the evil note when it first went on is the almonds, which don't tend to play well with my skin. But now they've settled in underneath. I also get an orchid-like feel to this, which is strange since there are no florals listed in the note. It's got a touch of spice, but it's a warm spice scent that's closer to a sandalwood than an incense or dragon's blood. I actually like it pretty well now that it's dry, although there are honey-based ones I like more.

This is probably going to suck hardcore, since three of my evil notes are in here (lemon, jasmine, and neroli). *sniff* It's not as bad as I thought it would be, although neroli still produces a tampon-like essence. The jasmine is not beating up all the other notes as it usually does, and the lemon is subtle. The tea is the top note. Overall, it's a soap from Bath and Body Works. Not for me, but not as vile as I would have predicted.

Very fruity! The fig is overwhelming pretty much everything else. I get just a hint of chocolate in the background, but if you're looking for a chocolate scent this definitely isn't it. I get a hint of something darker hiding underneath, but I don't know if I would call it a "shadowy wooded note."

Amber and orange in a base of patchouli. I'm really not into citrus, and the orange isn't overwhelming, but it's enough that it heads to the swap pile. My girlfriend says it smells like mold.

Very faint roses that smell a touch too chemically. The musk is rounding down the florals. I barely get the mrryh or ylang ylang. I'll have to try this one again later and get a better impression - my skin has eaten most of it.

A dark floral. The darkness is pulling it into something I don't like, and I'm not sure which component is doing that. Maybe the opoponax?

Oh, this is fabulous! I love dragon's blood, I love honey, and I love vanilla, and they're all here mingling with each other and decidedly playing nice with the other children. Honey still amps up on me, but it's toned into a nice refined spicy honey by the dragon's blood. Definitely want a bottle of this one.

See, I'm on this quest - find a chocolate scented BPAL that my girlfriend actually likes. I smell the chocolate ones, and my reaction is "Yummy blissful goodness!". My girlfriend smells the chocolate ones and goes "Vile nasty evil!". Unfortunately Bliss didn't do it for her either. I smelled it and went "OMG fresh hot chocolate brownie!" I smell it now and go "Delicious rich chocolate brownie!" It actually may be my favorite chocolate scent so far. My girlfriend, on the other hand, says "Yuck." Sigh. Question continues. (although I'm still going to get a bottle of Bliss)

Tried this at a meet and sniff. More than just spirits of the dead - apparently it's their rotting bodies, too. Ick. I get a citrus and almost a neroli-like scent out of this, and it's absolutely wretched. It really smells like something died on my skin.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. I shouldn't like this because of the violets, but this is great. It's beautiful and smells very familiar to me, like some kind of bath product I've used before. It's definitely aquatic and has a very wet feel to it.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. This is uber hard to get a hold of, so I hope I hate it. *sniff* This is an aquatic lemon. Blech. I don't get florals at all.
-
Tried this at a meet and sniff. This is *the* perfect rose scent. It's that smell you get in florist shops - fresh cut roses misted in water. This is one of my new loves, which is unfortunate since it's an LE and hard to get a hold of. *cries* why do I have to love this so??????????

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Spicy, but softened by the ylang ylang and sweetened a touch by the amber.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. To hell with what the notes say. This is chemical cherry vomit, and I couldn't wait to get it off.
-
Tried this at a meet and sniff. So light I can barely smell it. Faintly incense-like, but my skin ate it within seconds.
-
Tried this at a meet and sniff. Sweet and soft. A light, fruity baby powder.
-
Tried this at a meet and sniff. Honeysuckle!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mama want.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Based on the components, I'm *really* surprised I like this as much as I do. It has a glass-like quality, and would be a good winter scent. I get mostly the lotus and the mint.
-
Tried this at a meet and sniff. This is a good guy scent. The patchouli almost has a leather feel, which I think is being assisted by the tonka. The lavendar softens it a bit - great scent for a guy. I tried it on my girlfriend and was very pleased.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. This is going to sound really strange, but it's a Christmas tree smoking pot. And I don't have any better words to describe it. It smells good, though!

The plant of peace in Norse tradition. If enemies met in the forest and came upon a sprig, they laid down their arms and observed a truce until the next sunrise. Tried this at a meet and sniff. 2004 version. As a perfume, this is *way* too strong, but it would make an absolutely fabulous winter room scent. This is the essence of a Christmas tree farm in the snow.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. I have absolutely no idea what's in this, but it's mysterious and gorgeous!
