Tried this at a meet and sniff. Ugh! There is something citrus in here somewhere, because this is another one that goes to citrus hell on me. I get orange and floral (mostly a jasmine feel, even though there's not any jasmine listed), and it gave me a slight headache.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Yummy! Very foody. The overall effect is a warm buttercream.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Not sure what to make of this. I actually get an overall herbal feel. Not getting florals at all - think I need a retest later.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Yes, this is a candy cane. Pure peppermint and a hint of sugar.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Yummy! Chocolate drizzled over a pumpkin pie.

Tried this at a meet and sniff. Citrus hell. Smells like there's some jasmine in here somewhere, too. Citrus and jasmine are both no-nos on me. Ugh.

I was hoping I wouldn't like this, because this stuff is worth its weight in gold. And...it's way too strong. It's okay, but not something I'm going to drop money on. It's definitely ginger, but the herbs are actually the top note to me.

This is a sexy tobacco. Not a clove cigarette, but tobacco that's been near some clove cigarettes or something. It's harsh and sweet and beautiful all at the same time.
-
This is definitely a yellow-orange scent. There's some citrus in here, but it's not as bitter as I normally find citrus. But it's not me. Swap.

Oh, this is pretty. Honey is amping as it usually does and bringing a real sweetness to the patchouli that balances well with the florals.

This is a corn field right after the crop's been harvested and it's starting to get a bit cold at night. Hints of florals, some earth tones.
-
This is softer than I expected it to be, but I get all the notes. A light floral.
-
Yeah, the citrus is beating the crap out of the other notes. Which means I hate it. Ick. It's giving me a headache.

This is really interesting. I don't know how to describe it. It smells like wet money, but that's not a bad thing, just...odd. Not really getting the florals at all - mostly the moss and the amber.
-
Very floral and the jasmine is pretty much killing everything else. It has a sour edge to it that is putting me off - I think some of these flowers aren't playing too well together.
-
This is herbal all right. But it's a brown herbal rather than a green one. Not getting much of the wine. It definitely semlls old and musty.
-
A pretty floral that isn't subsumed by the roses. I wish the pear would come out to play a bit more.
-
Blood orange is much more tolerable than regular orange. It's definitely got a fruity feel to it. Not getting the spices at all.
-
Aquatics on top of a light floral. Not getting the booze at all. This is a very wet scent. Nice, but not my cup of tea.

Chaos Theory II : The Butterfly Effect

CT2: CDLXXXIX (489) Interesting. There's some mint in here somewhere, and also some juniper, but there are florals in here, too - maybe lilac or wisteria? -
Ooh! I like this one very much. The spices and the honey are a fabulous combination - it smells like authentic chai while it's being cooked. I'll end up with a bottle of this eventually.
-
Manly but not too manly. The ambergris gives it a feel of being wild, but overall it's a fairly typical spice. I don't really get the greens out of this at all - mostly the frankcincense and incense.
-
Faint and delicate. Vanilla on top of a light floral.
-
The Voodoo blends and I have not been hitting it off, and this continues that trend. It's got that sharp household cleaner thing happening again with *way* too much lemon for me. Swap.
-
Kind of a floral foody scent. Hard to describe. A bit of chocolate, a bit of amaranth. Interesting.
