Fall under the spell of our Green Fairy! An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon. Based on the notes, I predict I will hate it. I smell licorice predominantly, with lemon being the other main scent. There's an undertone that smells like Pinesol. Definitely not a scent for me, although I suspect that this could be a good Christmas room scent. Score: 1 out of 5

Ooh! Oh my god is this yummy! It's like pumpkin plus buttered popcorn. The spices are hiding out under there, and I can smell just a hint of the peach. This is delicious and makes me want to eat my arm. Score: 5 out of 5

Sweet pea definitely predominates to me, which is fine, because I love sweet pea! Touch of the cucumber and peony underneath. I don't really smell the sage or the moss. Very pretty and very feminine. Good throw. Score: 5 out of 5.

Catalog says: Sweet, smoky and sensually wicked. A thick, steamy scent, truly sinister in its voluptuous sexuality. The perfume of a demon's favored consort, or of the devil herself. Oleander with wet, sweet mandarin, lush magnolia, a rush of deep musk and a touch of spice. Whether I'll like this or not will have a lot to do with how strong/prominent the mandarin is - I don't do orange. *sniff* The orange isn't that strong, but I'm not liking this one too much. It has a candy-like quality to it, but not in a good way for me. The magnolia is probably what I smell the most. Later on, it's mostly spice. I have no idea where the other notes went, but now it smells like cinnamon. Score: 2 out of 5

here's a chemical smell about this that means it's not pleasing me so much. Definitely some flowers in there, and some cucumber, and the net result for me is a strong lye soap. Swap pile. My girlfriend says it smells like Pledge. Score: 2 out of 5

It's somewhat masculine. There's something underneath that's sharp and tangy that's making me not like it so much. It has a bit of a wood scent to it, not really spicy so much...it's hard to describe. It's not atrocious, but there's just...it's just not me. Note: it did get a bit better later in the day and ended up smelling mostly like tobacco, but it's still not great.

I just got a 10 mL off of Ebay, and boy am I glad that I did! Oh my god, this is all kinds of fruity, wine-y, spicy goodness. It's juicy somehow. I could sit here and smell myself all day. The plum definitely predominates early on. Now that it's so much later in the day, the musk and the sandalwood are the predominant scents.

I can barely smell this one. What I can smell, smells like...the vet's office. Pet dander, slight pet urine, bleach, de-wormer, and chemically-ness. Which is not as bad as it sounds, but this is definitely not a great scent. Swap pile for sure. Score: 1 out of 5

Kind of generic incense-y. I think I smell some myrrh and maybe a touch of patchouli. Amber's in there, too. It's pretty quiet for an incense scent - I put it on about 3 hours ago and while I can smell it, it's barely there. I like it okay, but there are other incense based scents that I like a whole lot better and have a lot more throw. Score: 3 out of 5

Oh yum! I love spicy scents, and this is very spicy. The patchouli and amber are what predominate to me, but the patchouli doesn't completely take it over like patchouli usually does. I don't know what else I smell in there, but it's very rich and dark and I so need a bottle of this. My girlfriend says it smells like baby powder to her. Poo on her. Score: 5 out of 5

Mmm! Mostly I get the orchid. Little bit of pear which rounds out some of the orchid's sharpness. Hint of cucumber underneath, and a bit of musk. Nummy! Score: 4 out of 5

This is really, really light. I can barely tell that it's there. Really, all I smell is a generic "soap" scent. Not unpleasant, but just not really there. Score: 2 out of 5

Ultra-violet, indeed. I was pretty worried to start with, because it went on smelling of awful medicine-y stuff, but it settled down. It's still pretty pure violet. Hint of the eucalyptus underneath. I'm not really getting the mint at all. Score: 3 out of 5

This is the first BPAL scent I ever tried. I can definitely smell the strawberry, but it's more of a strawberry candy type smell than a strawberry fruit type smell. Not really getting the champagne. Definitely fruity, seems more kiddish than adult. Not sure that this is something I would wear on a regular basis. Probably going to end up for trade/sale. It does seem to be picking up a bit of champagn-y smell as it dries, but the strawberry is staying predominant. This could grow on me, but it's not going to be one of my favorites because it's *really* sweet. Score: 3 out of 5

When first on: Definitely getting the rose. I like rose. I can smell the undertones, but I don't know that I would say "Hey, that's lilac! And there's wisteria!" I've always liked rose-scented things. A lot of people complain that it's too grandmotherly, but that's a good thing to me - grandmas are comforting. This scent says "innocence" and "happy memories" to me. So far I'm liking it a lot. It also says "clean." The longer it's on, the more the undertones are coming out. This one's a keeper. I have no idea what myrrh smells like, and I have no idea what cajeput is. On me, it smells fairly musky. I get a hint of the evergreeny stuff (juniper, cypress), and I can smell the violet, but not so much the Lily of the Valley. It smells dark and pretty. This is a good sex scent. I like it. I get the sandalwood, the rose, and the patchouli. Have no idea what palmarosa is or what it smells like, so I can't comment there. The patchouli is barely there, which is a good thing, because it's such a strong scent. The rose and the sandalwood are equally predominant. It's a pretty clean scent, but kind of soft. Not bad, not great. Score: 3 out of 5

Unsurprisingly, smells fig-like. Has an incense-like quality and reminds me somehow of India. Definitely very organic and very rich. I like this one very much. Score: 5 out of 5

I like this one, although to me it smells absolutely nothing like the catalog description. What it smells like to me is cardamon. Sort of chai-like, actually. Very spicy, and reminds me of some of the Axe scents I like on my girlfriend, too. Definitely a keeper. Score: 5 out of 5

Definite a darker scent. Smells somewhat similar to the one I was wearing that I liked so much the other day (Alice). Has more of a floral quality than that one though and I can smell sandalwood in the undertones. The musk is the most predominant, which gives it a spicy scent overall. Score: 4 out of 5

Not really getting the sandalwood so much, which is a shame because I love sandalwood. This is a pleasing scent though - very clean smelling, like fresh linens. Score: 3 out of 5
