The Arrival at the Sabbath and Homage to the Devil
supremegoddessofall replied to LittleGreyKitten's topic in The Salon
On me: Foody orgasm! The caramal is definitely the primary scent here - throw like whoa! Bit spicy, which I think is from the benzoin and carnation. Has a bit of a boozy feel, but not as much as some others. Not getting too much of the florals or vanilla, and only a touch of sandalwood or patchouli. -
Dusty incense with a slight aquatic feel. Also smells a bit like money.
-
Hmm...a bit spicy. Also a spicy floral - maybe carnation? Slightly aquatic and very clean smelling. I like it.
-
Definitely lime, but there's a touch of sweetness that keeps this from being citrus hell on me. I don't know how else to describe it. Maybe Key Lime pie?
-
Smells like an old college building. I know that sounds weird, but...it's like chalkboard, dust, and floor cleaner, combined with a chemistry set.
-
Why did this have to be anise? I was hoping for something floral or powdery. It's not an overwhelming anise, but it's enough to kill the possibility of keeping this one. There's some dust or incense underneath, but anise is the top note.

Spicy and mildly aquatic. I don't know what I was expecting Heliotrope to smell like, other than "yellow," but this certainly wasn't it! Color me pleasantly surprised. This is rich, spicy, and clean smelling.

Still has somewhat of a foody feel, like Hearth 2006, but I definitely notice the cherry here. It's a subtle cherry, wrapped in smoke. Not getting much leather here, but I do get a mild tobacco.

Rich and spicy! Definitely has a foody feel to it, but it's a foody incense, if that makes any sense. Old church to it, too. Definitely like this one, wish I had more!

My skin's eating this, but mostly I get light lilac in a bed of amber. Slight spiciness that I presume is from the myrrh. Has a bit of a metallic feel to it.

Beth's Experimental Blends
supremegoddessofall replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Unreleased Scents
Don't know which blend I have (maybe #1 or #4?), but... Very foody! Color is kind of a straw golden-rod sort of thing. I'm also getting a bit of a dust note. Lots of butter, maybe some rum. I like it. -
GC version: In bottle: Slightly sweet ginger. On me: Lemony ginger, but the lemon isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm still not getting what people's obsession with Shub is. Maybe aged it will be better? Score: 2

In bottle: All juniper and cedar. On me: Still all juniper. Not sure about it as a perfume for me, but I think this would smell great on a man or as a room scent. It tries to fool you into thinking it's cold, but really this is a deeply warm scent. Score: 4

In bottle: Very herbal and green. On me: I'll be a monkey's uncle if this won't smell fantastic on my girlfriend. It's very masculine. Very spicy and herbal - I'm getting lots of ginger and myrrh. Fairly musky. I don't think it's something I would wear, but I bet it would smell fantastic on someone else.

Chaos Theory III: Strange Attractors
supremegoddessofall replied to shelldoo's topic in Limited Editions
Top of left arm: CT3: CCLXII In bottle: A spicy foody. On me: Whoa. Vetiver like whoa. A bit cakey, but something that's curdling my nose, too. Bit of curry? Score: 2 -
Chaos Theory II : The Butterfly Effect
supremegoddessofall replied to harlequin's topic in Limited Editions
CT2: CDXLVI In bottle: Smells like a hair salon, but in a good way. On me: Floral, but a bit soapy. Can't decide if I like it or not. It's alternating between being likeable and not so pretty. It does smell clean. -
Very soapy floral. Stinging my nose. 2/5.
-
Rich and almost foody. Definitely a musk, but not overwhelming. 4/5.
-
Almost a floral citrus. Interesting. Not as overwhelmingly citrus as I thought it would be. 3/5.
-
Very rich coconut. Delicious! Smells more like coconut suntan oil than coconut straight off the tree, though. 4/5.
-
This is such a beautiful spicy floral. It's clear why I love Beth's opium and poppy blends so much. Slight soapy quality but absolutely lovely. 4/5.
-
Sharp floral, not me. 2/5.
-
Soft white floral, very lovely and ethereal. 4/5.
-
Rose with a touch of something sharper. I like this very much - very pure. 5/5.

I can't really distinguish this from Lemon Verbena. Still lemon pledge of doom. 1/5.
