I like this scent very much. In the bottle: Wet floral, with a bit of sharpness Wet: Very clean, floral without being cloying. Very feminine scent. Dry: It's turned into a too-sweet plastic smell. I think that I would love this in a locket...but definitely not on my skin!

Wow...I think I'm going to have to recheck the label! I didn't smell anything resembling oranges! In the imp I smell tabacco and an incense-like spice. But once it goes on, I'm picking up something that smells a lot like vanilla. What I had on didn't have a lot of throw, but lasted forever! I put it on a few hours before bed, and I could still catch a little whiff of it when I woke up this morning. I'll add that I swiped this on the wrist of my husband (his first BPAL ) because the scent was very masculine to me. He liked it, but after a few hours he proclaimed that it had become 'girly.'

Ah! Beautiful! This scent is amazing. Sweet and pretty and clean...exactly what I've been searching for and now I'm kicking myself for not having bought more then one bottle! In the bottle: Fruit! It smells so juicy that it's tempting to drink it. (But I know better) Wet: The florals pop out a little more...but I'm still smelling sweet fruit brushed with vanilla. Cool and crisp, but the vanilla warms it up some. Drydown: It's blended so well that I can no longer define what I'm smelling. Definitely a floral...with just that little bit of fruit still there to keep the floral from being overwhelming. Like an upscale garden party where everyone has forgotten their manners and gotten tipsy on bellinis.

Help Identifying Notes, What Certain Notes Smell Like

Oh...what I like is easy. It's what I don't like that I want to stay away from. I know that I'm safe with florals, fruits and foodie scents. I also like almost anything thats described as clean, but in my first round of trial and error I've found a few things that I don't like at all, and I'd like to know what to stay away from. What I've tried and haven't liked: Sin Queen Aeval Voodoo The Red Queen Blood Kiss Imp The last four are for the same reason, I just can't pick out what it is. Anyone want to take a stab at what it is that I'm not liking? -
Oh I wanted to like this. I loved reading the descriptions and just couldn't wait for my imp to arrive. Doesn't work on me at all. My first impression was tabacco...and not the tabacco flower. Dirty, old pipe tabacco. But the hanging scent in my nose was faintly cinnamon. So I was still hopeful that my skin would amp up the cinnamon. No such luck. An hour later it's still tabacco, now with the faintest hint of wet leather. Occasionally I can still get that faint whiff of cinnamon, but it's only as an after scent. UGH. I can't figure out what's in this that I don't like...but whatever it is, it's giving me an awful headache. Into the swap box.

Help Identifying Notes, What Certain Notes Smell Like

I'm new and I'm trying to sort out what I don't like. I went a little crazy and bought 30 or 40 imps just based on what sounded interesting, and now I'm going nutty trying to determine what doesn't work on me and why. I'd like to buy more, but first I want to determine what notes are causing that nose wrinkly, turn my head reaction. Because some of the things that I thought I would love don't work at all. I keep having this "People like this?" reaction. But the problem is that everytime I think I figure out what it is that I don't like...I find out that something I do like has that in it. *sigh* So I guess my only option is to just try them all. Has anyone else had a problem picking out their problem notes? Or is it just me? Are there scents that you try that you think you should like, but just don't work? -
First review...we'll see if I can do this right. In the bottle Titania smells bright. That's the only word I can think of. I didn't get the overwhelming fruit scent...just really bright happy floral. Wet on skin: There's the fruit! Peaches, with the lightest hint of the Fruit Stripes gum that someone mentioned. Oh wow. This smells so good! About an hour later: Ick. After an hour of blissful sniffing of my wrist...it suddenly went plasticky and now it smells like cheap children's perfume. Exactly what Kitsune-Tsuki did. Later: The plastic scent didn't last very long and now I'm getting a mix of light florals and fabric softener. What a clean and pretty scent. Pink and the Snuggle Bear. That's what I'm thinking about as I sniff now. This is definitely going on my list of must haves for a big bottle.
