Oh MY sugar skull smells good. In the bottle I smell buttery maple syrup. On my skin I smell maple syrup or caramel, something thick, brown, and sticky sweet. There is also a spicyness to it though. Reminds me of cinnamon but not. I can definitely see where the skull part comes in in Sugar Skull. On drydown I still get the same scent but now I can also smell a burnt sugary smell like the way marshmallows smell if you burn them outside at a campfire. I LOVE this one! One of my top 10 scents for sure!

Velvet is so gorgeous. In the bottle it smells almost like a chocolate hazelnut combo. I don't smell anything else. On me, there is chocolate and sandalwood and it is just amazing. Very sexy scent. I love to wear it in my hair. I will definitely be getting a bigger bottle of this. My imp is already almost empty!

Mata Hari is one of the most unique scents I've smelled so far. It reminds me of two friends going to meet in a cafe somewhere. One friend gets coffee, black and the other gets jasmine tea. The scent of their drinks begins to mingle. That's what I smell in Mata Hari. I think I would like it more if my skin didn't pull jasmine out and amplifly it like it does. Later on, this scent becomes super jasmine and nothing more.

Hmm, weird! I am another one of those people who can barely smell it at all! I put a good wet swipe on my arm and immediately sniffed it. Nothing. How weird! This is the first time I have had a scent do this to me. It smells really good in the bottle though!

This one smelled like bitter bitter cinnamon as soon as I put it on. It got stronger the longer I wore it. I love cinnamon and all, but this was just a bit too much for me. Into the swap pile it goes!

Hmm, this is a very different scent than I thought it would be. I mostly smell the floral notes on me and I have no idea about individual notes. I only put a small dot on but it is amazingly strong smelling which is odd to me considering how light everyone else found it to be. It might even be a little too strong smelling. Sadly enough I cannot smell even a hint of the herbal notes. I think if I could it would help to balance out the floral scent in this. In a way, it also reminds me of the smell of fresh laundry blowing in the breeze on a warm summer day.

CHAMPAGNE! That was what this imp screamed at me when I first opened it up. It tickled my nose and then the strawberry snuck in. On me I can smell the champagne very strongly at first but it fades really fast. It leaves me with a wonderful sweet strawberry scent that reminds me very much of strawberry shortcake and strawberry lipgloss I had when I was younger. It's a very happy nostalgic smell for me which is not something I would have expected out of this scent. I am definitely glad I got it though and I will be giggling forever over "strawberry shortcake goes boozing" becuase that's exactly it! I don't think I'd get a 5ml but the imp's a definite keeper!

A friend was kind enough to put in an imp of this in a swap and I am so glad she did! June Gloom is my favorite BPAL scent right now. Although I was kicking myself repeatedly for not ordering a bottle when it was for sale ;-) Thankfully I found one on ebay. The lemon scent is very strong when I first put it on but it doesn't remind me of Lysol. Rather, it smells like those Lemonheads candies. Which makes me hungry Then it dries down to this amazing floral. It reminds me very very much of summers in North Carolina when I was little. We would get summer rainstorms in the afternoon that didn't do much to cool anything off and afterwards the air would be steamy with the smell of rain and summer flowers. When I wear this scent it makes me feel like that all over again. It is truly wonderful.

This one is a beautiful scent! I can just barely smell the pear when I first put it on. It dries down to a somewhat wistful floral. Not too sweet or strong. I love this one!

Bought an imp of Satyr to try on my husband. We knew this one was a swapper almost immediately. It smelled very interesting in the bottle but when he put it on it smelled like a dirty truck stop bathroom! Luckily there are lots more scents to try ;-)

This one turned waaaaay too sweet on me. When I read the description I fell in love with it but on my skin it turns sickly sweet.

Blood Rose is a very sexy scent. I am not usually fond of plain rose and I was afraid this one would do this on me anyway but instead I get a wonderful combination of red wine and roses. It dries down to be more rose than anything else but I love it!

I love this one!! When I first put it on I can really smell the peach which reminds me of one of the scented strawberry shortcake dolls I had when I was little. So I guess it is a very nostalgic scent for me. After it dies down a bit I don't smell the peach as much but it is just sweet and wonderful. I have to put this one on VERY sparingly though because it is quite strong and lasts forever on me.

I really wanted to like this one because it sounded delicious! Unfortunately it was super strong when I put it on and stayed that way (which is funny seeing as a lot of other people lost the scent really fast) and gave me a splitting headache the entire time I had it on. Alice does the same thing to me so I am guessing my skin doesn't like the milk and honey combination even though I so very much wish that it would! *glares at skin*

Masquerade smelled very strongly of pine for some reason on me. It gave me a headache was was quite strong. I'm sad that it just wasn't for me

This is a really beautiful scent in the bottle. Unfortunately when I put it reminded me so strongly of something. It drove me nuts trying to figure it out. Then my husband pointed out that it smells exactly like baby shampoo. So sadly, this one must go to the swap pile because it drives me nutty walking around smelling like babies all day ;-)
