I got this as a frimp, and it wasn't on my wishlist, so I first sniffed it cautiously in the imp to see if I should even attempt to put some on. In the imp: Hmm...this seems okay. It's sort of light and floral and the rose isn't too overpowering. Wet on the skin: Still pretty nice. It's a little powdery, but then again Versailles probably smelled of powder because of all of that powdered hair. Dry: Ugh. Now it smells just like Love's Baby Soft. The boyfriend doesn't like it either...it reminds him of "old lady."

I got citronella too. I so wanted a nice juicy pear scent. And then, within a few minutes of putting it on, it disappeared completely. My skin just sucked it up with nary a trace to be had.

Mmm...this is such a nice and clean scent. Like Ah Xia, I get grapefruit, and I was surprised when I checked the notes and didn't see it listed. Definitely a fruity bitterness underneath the herbal notes. It's very light, with barely any throw. I can smell it on my wrist from about three inches away.

Mmm...this was on my wishlist and the Lab sent me a frimp of it! It's got all of the florals I tend to like, it seems. And underneath it all is a dusty, earthy scent that I'm guessing is the incense. A few hours later, it's still going strong, so this is a definite favorite.

In the imp: piney and somewhat medicinal--I can smell just a hint of almond Wet: Whew! That's definitely a Christmas pine smell. Dry: This smells wonderfully Christmassy, like a pine forest in the snow. Unfortunately, about three hours later it's almost gone. I still get occasional whiffs from my neck and cleavage, but I really have to put my nose to my wrists to smell it there. The pine has definitely mellowed, too.

Wow, there are a lot of different experiences with Darkling Thrush. Here's mine: In the imp: very watery and almost like some sort of cleaner. Wet on my skin: Ah, there's the florals. I definitely get the snow/slushy smell with just a hint of floral, but I can't really say it's violet. Dry: Hrm...it's gone a bit soapy. After a few hours: Well, the soapy is gone, replaced with a spicy "department store perfume" scent. It's not bad, just not what I was hoping for. Somehow, though, the dab I put in my cleavage is holding up better scentwise than the wrists/neck. I'll give it another try, maybe next week, and see if it's just my body chemistry at the moment.

Yay! I got some Pink Phoenix from eBay and I immediately tried it out. In the bottle this smells almost exactly like Double Bubble gum, which is pretty much the scent of "pink". On my skin, the spicy vanilla notes come out, with just a hint of fruit. This one has loads of throw--I kept getting whiffs of candy when I moved around. The boyfriend really liked it and kept sniffing at me. After a few hours, Pink Phoenix mellows into a subtle sweet vanilla. In fact, it smells exactly like LUSH's Gentil Lentil shampoo bar. This is a definite favorite!

Being from South Jersey, I just HAD to get an imp of Jersey Devil. In the bottle, I can really smell the cranberry with just a little pine coming through. Once dry, though, it's all sharp pine. After about an hour, the pine has mellowed a bit and the smell reminds me of a bayberry scented candle. Which isn't bad, but also isn't what I was hoping for. The staying power is good, as seven hours later I'm still smelling it when I move around. Overall, I like it, but I don't love it enough to go for a whole bottle. I can see wearing it more around the holidays because it definitely seems like more of a Christmas scent than an everyday.

After wearing Samhain for a few days, I was ready for something a bit brighter. Aizen-Myoo definitely fits the bill! Initially, it's pure yummy grapefruit. Very energizing and the perfect thing to wake me up. On my way to work, I kept getting whiffs of the citrus, but mellower than when I first put it on. Now, about three hours later, this has mellowed quite a bit. The florals have come out and I can smell just a hint of tea. It's very soft and feminine, without being overpowering floral. Thumbs up all the way.

I got this as a frimp in my latest order, and I didn't hate it on first sniff, so it went into my "try it out" pile. It's interesting that I picked it out today, since I had some strange and anxiety-inducing dreams last night. In the bottle: Lavender and more lavender. Wet: Yep, still lavender. I put it on at work and my co-worker immediately started sniffing the air and asking if anyone smelled something herbally. Dry: All I get from this one is lavender, really. Not a bad thing, since I like lavender, but I really can't detect anything else. Maybe a tiny bit of sweet basil, but it's tough to pick out. After about 2 hours: This faded really fast. If I sniff my wrist I can smell something, but it's a very vague sweetness. Overall, I'm neutral about this one. It's something I'd be more inclined to add to a relaxing bath than wear on a daily basis. Might be nice as a room scent for bedtime.

I just received White Moon last night, so today is my first test run. I'm not really decided on it yet. Florals aren't usually my thing, but these notes are lovely and soft. Underneath the florals, though, there's a sharpness that's tough to describe. It's almost like the clean smell of a really cold and snowy morning, which I suppose is appropriate for a November scent. I'll see how I like it as the day goes on. I don't think it'll ever be a favorite, but it's something I might wear now and again.
