This is by far my favorite lunar moon so far (I started with Red Moon). Heavy on the ozone and aquatics, this has just enough floral for me to feel comfortable wearing this as a perfume. Although I don't usually slather, I did this morning and I think I am in love. This is incredibly cool and clean. I bet it will be wonderful when it starts to get muggy in the summer. I guess I can see the similarity made between Cathode and Storm Moon, but of course completely lacking in the mint. It does have a similar "cool" feeling.

In the bottle this was gaggling like buttercream. On it reminded me very much of Hellcat. Was this mislabeled? On it was very buttery with the some slight spices scents, such as nutmeg. I had to wash this off after a few minutes, although i applied very sparingly. It was *strong*.

I have to say that this is amazingly blended. The different components meld to make something that is much more than its parts. Initially I am not crazy about it. Actually I spilled almost half an imp on my skirt. The Veil on my skin turned to a lovely slightly powdery scent that just enhanced my own scent, blending with the scent of my skin. It is beautiful, like what a finishing powder should smell like. The oil that fell on my skirt retained more of its characteristics from the bottle so I will use it for comparison. The first thing that I notice is that the violet is a lot more apparent than on my skin. As I am not a big fan of violet this is a good thing to me. All in all it is a little less blended, a little more floral (though not as much as I expected I guess from th sandalwood), and a little less powdery.

In the bottle this is awesome. It is sweet, but not overly sweet. The cherry and vanilla make this smell edible, but the other components tone down the foody aspect. As soon as I put this one the dragon's blood "pops" making this super sweet. Then the vetiver and musks start vying for the forefront. The combination of the sweet versus sexual leads to a more masculine version of O. This is a little two masculine on me, but is awesome on the boy.

Nadirah was kind enough to give me an imp of Yuki-Onna in my swap faery package. Without reading any descriptions my first impression was of tea. I am a heavy Earl Grey drinker so I guess that makes sense. Then there was just a hint of lemon and sweetness (from the jasmine I suspect), but no sandlewood. Which is just as well because the three notes I like were the ones the showed up. I really like this, it is a more springtime scent to my June Gloom. It reminds me of drizzly cold days, as opposed to intermittant thundershowers.

I am a huge fan of rose, so I ordered this as soon as it became available. There is some rose, but it does not come on as strong as I thought it might. Instead it is just one note in a bouquet. Like other voodoo oils it has an herbal quality, that in this case is almost reminicent of dry grasses. It is nice enough, but I can't see myself using it enough to warrant a bottle. If you are not a huge fan of rose don't elimante this one out of hand. You might still like it quite a bit. If anything I wish it had a little more rose quality.

There is something I am not crazy about in this (pathchouli?) but there is not a lot of it. After dry down it calms down a little bit. I did not get a lot of citrus. The lemonyness is a sweet dusty one that is not overwhelmingly lemon. I actually like lemon a lot though and wish there were more. Van Van develops a really nice creamy quality, but I not really crazy about it otherwise. Strangely I just can't put my finger on why though...

I swapped for a bottle of Hearth because I was suffering extreme regret for not ordering a bottle myself. I wanted it to smell like my grandpa's room when I was little: sweet with the smell of pipe tobacco. And OMG does it ever! This is a really comforting scent to me, and for my SO for whom this smells like his father. I can't say that I will wear it, but it makes a wonderful room scent and a little goes a long way. I spilled a tiny drop on my desk when I was decanting and I could smell nothing else for days.

This was a lot more berry than I thought it would be. The plum gives it this drippingly sweet ripe berry quality, which I like a lot. As it wears it gets even better with a little spice and a little less cloying. After the initial drydown the SO likes it a whole lot too. I was very fortunate to get and imp, but now I may have to scrounge around for more.

I think Desdemona and Juliet really deserve mentions here too. They both feel like spring to me (like early May).

This was a lot more floral than I thought it would be for some reason. The ylang ylang and honey were very stong and sweet. They make Eve a soft, but bright lemon color to my nose. The rose in comparison isvery mild and not nearly as distinctive as it is in some blends. For some reason I was thinking "apple" instead of "apple blossom" and was mildly disappointed not to get any fruit, but rather a white floral note. Final Thoughts: This is very pretty but to floral to not have much rose. I tend to only wear florals if they are significantly rosey.

Azrael is the Angel of Death, marked as the last being to die in the Apocalypse. Though a harbinger of doom, his duties are an act of mercy: he curtails human life before world-weariness and despair destroys our spirits. Warm myrrh swirled with a bittersweet blend of violet, Lily of the Valley, juniper, cypess and cajeput. Wings of Azrael seems heavy on the violets to me, but then I tend to be sensitive to them. Suprisingly this was not nearly as floral and feminine as I thought it would be. The myrrh and cedar give some more depth, and there is a lovely herbal quality. I just can't get past the violets though (not a big fan).

Wet this was jasmine with an edge of citrus (lemon?), but it quickly turned soapy. I don't have much else to add except that my skin kinda ruins this for me...

I love roses, so I had high hopes for Spellbound. In fact I have tried this one a couple times not remembering why I decided to swap it. At first it is a nice floral, thought not as rosey as I would suspect. Then as I wear it it becomes... stinky... like BO stinky. I don't know what my skin chemistry could be doing this to (the musk maybe?) but it is slight but persistant. Up to the swaps with this one.

In the bottle Nanshe had a spiciness that didn't seem to bode well, but I was totally wrong. The lavendar is the top note while it is drying, but then there is this elegant lemony-herb smell. The color of this lemony smell is the closest I have found to June Gloom, although otherwise they are fairly different. This scent would make a wonderful linens spray, and I suspect a bottle is in my near future.

Wet this has lots of almost incensy spice to it. The pepper is strongest while it is wet. As it dries it goes through a somewhat unpleasant phase that goes right to my stomach. That disappears within minutes to become a sweet dragon's blood blend with just a little extra warmth from the cloves and cinnamon. The SO really likes blends with dragon's blood I have discovered. And Wrath is no exception to that rule. I have a few more reservations particularly because of the weird (though short lived) plasticy stage that turns my stomach (darn strange body chemistry), but other than that find that I like it quite a bit

I was nervous that Wanton would have far too much patchouli, while secretly hoping that it would be very rosey. Interestingly neither of these was the case. For the first 20 minutes or so there was a sickly sweet non-rosey smell (the palmarosa?). It smelled strongly of neither patchouli nor rose, though I did pick up on the sandalwood. This is not an innocent smell at all! This might be a good scent even for those who think they can't do rose scents.

I smell like one of the three wise man's gifts, but I am not sure which one. This is very resiny, which I am not a huge fan of. I think that there is either myrrh or frankinsence in here, though I am leaning towards frankinsence. This is a powdery scent, which I sometimes like. I am not such a fan of resiny scents enough to wear this one though.

I love naiads, so I really wanted to try Naiad even though it has been discontinued. Lotus often dominates a fragrance on my skin, and this is no exception. During dry down there was more lavendar and I found that I liked the scent better on the whole. Once dry though it heavy on the lotus with just a touch of lavendar. I got some of the citrus smell too, although I don't know where it is coming from. Once it was dry this citrus scent was practically gone though.

Glitter was heavy on the lotus on me. The bubblegum had a pear flavor to it, but still the bubblegum from the lotus dominated the scent. I do not get any white wine at all. Unfortunately I don't think this is the pear scent I am looking for, but it well lives up to the glam of its name.

Wet: This is very foresty with lots of pine while it is wet. It has a spicy floral aspect to it. Drying: There is something about Wolfsbane that reminds me of a men's cologne. Yet there is also a subtle floral aspect that seems to bely that description. If I had to give it a descriptor I think I would call this gender neutral. Dry: This is a slightly spicy rosey scent. It is fairly soft but still has a fairly green feel to it.

A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers. Not being entirely sure what this smells like, I took a chance and ordered Snow White. She isn't what I expected, but I am not sure if that is in a good or bad way. In the bottle: I can smell the kind of cherryish scent people are saying is almond, but it doesn't smell quite right to be almond to me. Note that this is the only point at which I can actually smell anything remotely akin to almond. Wet: More than feeling cold, Snow White just evokes the color of snow for me. No that isn't quite right, its more of a pale cream. It is very creamy, with just a hint of coconut, not nearly as much as I somehow expected. Drying: There is something in this which I can not identify which is a little off-putting on my skin. Something about it flutters my stomach (the lily musk?) just a little bit. It is still very creamy, like when it was wet, but there is this one note that is more prominent. Dry: There is a very light floral component to the creaminess, but it definately has a slight plasticy edge on me. I traded my bottle for this reason, as I just don't think I would wear it enough to warrant a bottle.

I *love* Gingerbread Poppet so much. I was a little nervous about how much cinnamon it would have in it, but it turns out that my fears were ungrounded. When I got my Yule order this is the first one i had to try. It had me running around like a lunatic saying to my roommates "Sniff me; I smell like a gingersnap". And indeed I did.

Both my SO and I love roses. So when I saw that <b>Rose Red[/b] was returning I knew we had to try it. There are two new converts here. I am a huge fan of Zombi, but Rose Red far surpassed my otherwise favorite rose scent. As many have mentioned above it is a lot greener, fresher. I have to agree with UltraViolet about the refrigerated florist back room experience. For me though, that stage lasts for ages, with just a little lessening in quite how green it is.

In the bottle this had the same response from my bf and I: retreat. Honestly if I didn't know how amazing Beth's blends can be (even when I think they won't be) I might not have tried it. After a drying period it mellowed a little bit. As a scent it is actually not bad. The violet is not too strong. The lavendar is just that touch that I associate with english men. I find it oddly unsettling to wear though, so it will go up for swap. I kept getting goosebumps like someone was watching me, although there was no one there.
