For some reason my skin loves violets and lilacs...and well this is what it is smells like. However, as strong as it is...it is subdued as well....I see how this could be a subdued quiet scent...I am really curious to try and lather this with some TKO....and see if it works....

This is a dark, woodsy, lavender....however it is a very clean scent. The gardenia is really tamed by the lavenderand tobacco flower. I definitely see myself keeping this imp...as it smells wonderful...but it is not bottleworthy.

I will never understand why the lab's chocolate note goes so wrong on me. This scent is a perfect example. Wet in the imp-droolworthy chocolate frosting with a hint of cream. Drydown on the skin: Fake chocolate and Nuts WTF? Sigh...off to the swaps with this one as well.

This smells like a soft purple rose...with hints of grape. My skin chemistry is weird...I do adore this. The vanilla and the rose swirl nicely together and fruit plays gently with them both. It's a weird scent...but I love it...grapey rose....so glad I ordered this on impulse.

Normally tobacco and white musk are wonderful on my skin...today they work to my detriment. I have a sweet smelling cat pee on me...must now go wash hands...and pray I never run across this again.

Olive leaf with the barest hint of snake oil. I am not a fan....but I want to keep my imp just to see how this ages.
-
Glory and Majesty, Kokab, God’s Judgement. This is the LIGHTEST carnation I have smelled to date. I am so not a fan of it strong...and strangely a weak carnation note does nothing for me either. Sigh...I will have to swap this one out too.

On me...wet.....Halls Mentholated Cherry Cough drops with a touch of fruit. Not. A. Fan. Drydown. Halls Blackberry Mentholated Cough Drops.

This is spicy, rose, and myrrh. It's gorgeous...but it also has a bit of burnt note to it. It passes...but I oddly do enjoy it. This is a definite keeper.

A light, eucalyptus clean scent. She reminds me of an ice queen living in a crystalline cast of snow, cold, and chill. I like it...however...a decant of this definitely enough.

Affectionately nicknamed 'The Devil's Bake Sale'. 05 version. In the bottle-sugar cookie Wet on the skin-snickerdoodles with a hint of anise. Drydown: snickerdoodles, with a hint of anise. Sigh....alas I am now coming to the conclusion that sugar cookies are better eaten and not worn.

This is a very clean masculine scent. It smells like water polo mixed with dryer sheets. Do not want. Must.go.wash.off.NOW

This truly does live up to it's name. It is light and airy...with just the barest hints of mature perfume. I don't know how to describe this one...but I do know that it makes me wonder if this is what angels bathe with in the morning!

There is something with alcohol....in this while wet. Ironically as it dries...it continues to develop into a nauseating stale whiskey smell. I can't stand whiskey...and I now have to go wash this off.

Wet: Fir and pine are all that I get from this. Drydown: It actually smells more like fresh cut pine wood....and fresh cut fir wood from either a sapling branch or freshly cut from the heart of the wood. Completely dry: This smells like a fresh holly berry tree. I can smell a subtle snow note, a hint of holly berry, and the pine and fir lightly wafting in the background. It is quite lovely and if it were ever released as a holiday scent...I would have to say I would buy it.

This starts out with a sweet creamy orange note mixed with the powderiness of black opal. However...as it dries...it smells like a cross between a less sweetened black opal and orange creamsicle It is lovely....but I will stick with my black opal.
-
Through a gracious swap/loan I was able to smell this. Wet...this smells like an orange and herbs. Medicinal herbs. Drydown: It smells just like the artificial orange flavor in an orange crush soda. I am so glad that I got to try this...but I am glad I don't need to track this down!
-
I love this... It smells like clean..nutty..wood. Like the wood on a good table has been polished with a nutty scent. I don't think I can wear it often....but I do love it...
-
Wet: This goes on clean...with the leather coming out. Dry: My skin amps the lilac in this ALOT! The coconut sweetens this and the hint of spice leaves it with the right amount of complexity. I love it and I will gladly hold on to my imp when I am in the mood to try something extremely different! ADDED 2/26/10: Wet: My skin has turned this into Fresh Green Peppers mixed with hot red pepper juice. Drydown. Green peppers and red hot peppers. How odd....
-
This is a smoky sweet clove scent. Not cloying...just smoky but a little sweet with a hint of bitterness to round it out. I am so glad that I got to try this.

BPAL Fruit Blends - the many variations

What she said! Also, Agape is very fruity...apples, guava, and cream. -
I smell like juicy fruit gum and florals. That's it..wet to the drydown.....it actually made me nauseous and I figured that it was the violet that did it. Not. a. Fan.

White rose buds, with vanilla tea, benzoin, orris, coconut meat, and frankincense. This is a sweet creamy rose in the imp... On the skin...POOf...it's gone... My skin ate the gorgeous that was in the imp and left me with a dull, flat, dying rose smell...no cream...and the final drydown smells like a mix between crayons and rose
-
This starts out spicy and sexy. Like a couple doing the tango.... It dries down to a spicy, sexy red rose....It is beautiful...I love it....one of the few rose blends that I can wear without an allergic reaction so
-
To me and on me this smells at first like burning pepper....and then it dries down to a smoky black pepper scent. Needless to say...not a fan!
