Dark Alice

Green hisbiscus. Not as strong as Boo Bam. It's also mixed with the dryness of the orris root! This smells like a dry plant version of Cytherea without the yummy tea note. This is something my great aunt would wear! But I am glad that I got a chance to try it.

This should be love at first sniff for me! I read the notes, black currant, caramel, pipe tobacco....... This was supposed to be true love for me.... However, its just not meant to be... Wet in imp: Caramel, pipe tobacco, and black currant! Drydown on skin: Peppery caramel. That's it! Just caramel sprinkled with pepper I so wanted this to work!

Initial reaction: Bitter Orange Flavored snake oil! Wet on the skin: Acai berry is so strong. It takes over and mixes with snake oil. It doesn't smell sweet, just bitter and citrusy. Drydown: This actually makes the skin under my nose burn and my lips! Too much Acai berry! Swap away!

Wet: I get the blood orange and the red musk! Drydown: Tunisian amber, red musk, and the vanilla come out! It goes through this "red musk single note" phase on my skin, something that I notice that happens with most red musk scented bpal. On the final drydown: the gardenia finally comes out. Not a fan, the gardenia has taken over all of the yummiest notes. But I am still glad that I got to try the imp!!!

Bitter clove with light red wine notes. That's it. That's all i get from my imp. I am so glad that I got to try it though, its nice to know that blood accord and wine can behave themselves on my skin. This imp is definitely on its way to the swap pile!

I would definitely recommend snagging a bottle of Marianne from Carnivale Diabolique while its still available. It is red musk joy!

hot house flowers with sharp metal..... Reminds of me CK1 with hot house flowers. Not a fan.

CMLXXXIX-Fake cherry cough syrup with a touch of grape. (wet) Drydown-Sweeter. Lost the cough syrup tinge to it. Grape comes out. (wet on skin) Grape flavored candy....this is a morpher folks. and is completely off the weirdness chart. It also makes me sneeze. I don't know if I will be keeping this one. MII (1,002?)-Sandalwood (wet) Drydown-Extremely light sandalwood. Like a sandalwood single note. I don't know about this one. I think I will let it age. 1,038-Light green mixed with something pretty. It reminds me a little of baby powder but not so strong! I love it. Finally one that is a keeper!

This is gorgeous. The Gardenia is amped but the orange and the vanilla calm it down remarkably. I don't get the other notes, but it doesn't matter. I love this. I may need a bottle of this before the CD leaves town. Edit to add mental impression: A woman who knows that she looks good walking into the room. This scent speaks for her before she has to say one word!

All I smell is freesia. Which is a shame because normally vanilla and freesia mix well with me but in this instance, they don't. I smell like glade Freesia airspray. No black currant, no rose geranium! Where are all of the other notes in this that I love???

Wonderful Plum, currant, and amaretto just rounds this off to the perfect sweetness. I will be loving this bottle until it is gone.

Black moon 06 and Lune Noir smell like night to me.

This starts out smelling like sweetarts in my imp. Drydown: Coconut and florals Completely dry: Strong tropical flowers....not my thing this imp is off to the swaps.

any suggestions for Montresor?? I just put it on, I have used soap and water and now my skin is getting red and itchy and the scent and oil apparently don't come off with soap and water... Help!!

I smell patchouli and spanish mandarin with a light touch of frankicense. On the dry down, the frankincense and patchouli doesn't mix well with the mandarin and turns peppery. It's lovely on someone else but not on me.

First and foremost.....How the hell did I almost let this one get away from me!!!!! The vanilla infused amber and nepalese amber really start out gorgeously on my skin (on wet) And then something light and fruity comes out....peach....like peaches fresh from the tree in August. On the drydown the peach goes very light and I am left with this soft, summery, golden amber with light hints of vanilla! This is gorgeous! I am soooo glad that I swapped this for L'autunno.

Very Dark and Very gorgeous ! The resins and orchid in this are gorgeous. This scent reminds me vaguely of Mme because of the patchouli, and makes me think red musk. However, it's not. Either way, I love it!!!

White, for acting in good conscience and doing our best to give back to the community. Frangipani, magnolia, cotton flower, osmanthus, crystal musk, ambrette, white orchid, sugar cane, davana, white sandalwood, petitgrain, lavender, and lotus root. I do believe that this is the cleanest bpal that i have every smelled. It smells like white, fresh cotton thats been just dried in the sunshine!! And it holds this smell with out turning out a chemical note that can make you sick. I love it!

This starts out with a minty, snowy feel to it. Almost like citrus (oranges, grapefruit, lemon, and lime) that is chilled in a glass. And then it turns to lime. Frozen lime. On the dry down, the lime disappears and is replaced by a mature lady perfume. This is not a bad scent, but I am not in love with it either. I think this is going on to the swaps bin.

This smells like old white chocolate smeared with Currant and Dipped in Tangerine juice. Separately, these ingriedients are gorgeous, together, they are nauseating. I have to go wash my hands now b/c it's making me nauseaous. This one is off to the swaps/Sales bin.

In Imp: Red Musk! wet on skin: red musk and iris. Drydown: POOF!!!!!! My skin eats this stuff. Although I am glad I don't get any rose, I am sad that I can't get anything after 5 minutes because my stupid skin eats it!!!!! Drydown: 10 min later: The red musk amps and the vanilla bean takes over....then after 5 more minutes.....Poof, it's gone

I am so glad that I got an imp of this. In imp: Menthol, (kind of like vicks vapor rub) (lightly) mixed with crisp apples. Wet on skin: Minty apples Drydown: Light crisp chilled apples. Overall: Absolutely beautiful. I am glad that I have the imp as I will cherish it, but I don't think I need a bottle.

I received this in a swap from a very generous Forumite!!! For some reason I get rose, cinnamon, and clove in this scent. It's absolutely gorgeous. None of the melon rind or white musk comes out but I can definitely smell the black musk. It's very dark and sweet, almost sensual. And this is the second bottle I have ever run into in the BPAL kingdom that has cinnamon that I can wear. This imp is a definite keeper!!!

The Lune Noire Bottle looks nothing like the original Black Moon Bottle. (I received mine on saturday and I have Black Moon) Unfortunately, I can't speak for scwharzermond.
