Wow, this is good! Alice is my favorite scent, so I was a bit puzzled when I sniffed a bouquet of carnations and could only smell "plant." This single note is spicy, like light cloves, with that same green "plant" smell underneath. I think I'll keep this one.

The Dormouse is pleasant. It was basically a light, floral tea, very different from what I normally would wear. The scent does change a bit over time, with the tea becoming a little stronger (it smelled more "masculine" to me). I think this is something my mom would like. I'd recommend this scent for someone looking to give imps as gifts because it's light and inoffensive -- I think everyone can at least like it, if not love it.

This smells like an older man. I've actually encountered men who smell like this -- it's like cologne charged with sexual energy. I was very uncomfortable from smelling this, even a little emotionally disturbed. This is just me, but Fire of Love gave me the same bad feeling I got from reading one page of Lolita. This really creeped me out.

Yay, a proper place to give all of our birthday wishes.

Mmm, this is good! I was afraid Three Witches would be burnt and dry, but it's good! This smells like Pumpkin & Spice from Dark Candles. There is something buttery and pleasing about this. It doesn't seem to be burning my skin, which I am very thankful for. I'm going to layer this with Bliss. I think I'm going to need more!

Drat, I wish I hadn't swapped Xiuhtecuhtli away so fast!

Uh oh...I think if I came across some Angel, I'd fall in love with it.

Vice did not smell good on me, which was disappointing as I like Velvet and love Bliss. When I first put it on, I got a wonderful chocolate, but it was quickly followed by a grassy, herbal scent that I wasn't expecting at all. Hello, cherry? Where are you? The cherry was faintly there, but the herbal note was so unexpected and overpowering. It might have been the orange blossom, because orange blossom tends to hate me. This wasn't the sinfully indulgent chocolate cherry scent I expected it to be. I'll give it another go to be sure, though.

Wow, I actually like Bon Vivant! I wasn't interested in trying this one before because I don't like Strawberries & Champagne from Victoria's Secret, and because strawberry just didn't sound like me at all. Bon Vivant is actually sexy, not childish like I thought it might be. The strawberry is fresh, not artificial, and the champagne makes this blend so fun. I'm so pleasantly surprised! The strawberry scent also brings back good memories from when I was younger and would always ask my mom to buy me this strawberry shampoo I liked. Oh man, I'm going to smell so good layering this with Dana O'shee and/or Bliss.

No problem, although there was another one I was thinking of. ::shrugs:: Goo Gone has worked well for me to get hair gel out of clothing, as well as chocolate syrup out of a white shirt.

Maybe this will help a bit too: http://www.bpal.org/index.php?showtopic=4860

I've tried Imp. It reminds me of maybe a darker Tamora, and something else mixed in... It's fruity but not in a blatant Bath & Body Works kind of way. Eh, you guys know what I mean -- Beth does good things to all notes.

Maybe try wine scents like Mabon to get a fruity but not necessary sweet smell.

I think I got an auto response thingy from BPAL/PayPal in addition to my receipt for payment for my 11/26 order. I didn't get Cold Moon, just a 5ml of White Rabbit.
-
Ooh, you should try Ravenous.

I don't like how baby powder smells, but I can do "powdery" scents just fine. I was kind of annoyed when my dance teacher told me I smelled like baby powder and I was wearing Alice. Alice is my favorite BPAL, and baby powder is one of my least favorite scents ever! I think I had Old Morocco on too, which smells increasingly of baby powder to my nose.

Amber turns to baby powder on me. I don't think Seraglio or Snake Oil have amber in them, though, because those were powder-free when I wore them.

I am nearly certain that the "Shipped Through" announcement relates to the date that you place your order, not CCNow's date. I say this because if, for example, you email Brian saying, "I placed an order on 10/10, where is it?" he will respond by saying that the "Shipped Through" thread is only marked through orders placed by 10/8. And CCNow's "shipped" has nothing to do with your package being mailed.

Ahh, you beat me to it. Too busy buying a 5ml of White Rabbit.

I believe this question has been answered before...try searching a bit, and I'll post a reply if I find the thread.

Suntrails, be sure to try Tempest (and all of your BPAL) again in a week or so. Scents, or your perception of them, can change greatly if you just give them another try.

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

I thought Blood Kiss would be my poor man's F'54, as I've said in other posts...I agree with spark -- if you can deal with the vetiver, give it a try. -
Wolf's Heart smelled like a stronger, masculine version of Pride. It smells strongly of narcissus, which makes me as the wearer want to lift up my chin and stick out my chest. I've never really used a voodoo blend before, but I think this would work purely by scent association to bring out the "wolf's heart" in the wearer.

Hellcat was too strong and surprisingly too foody for me. It wasn't wearable as a perfume on my skin. I think it's the "butter" scents that got to me. This is another blend that I'd recommend someone who is new to BPAL to try, just so they can smell what artistry the Lab is capable of.

::scratches head:: Have I really not reviewed this before? Dragon's Milk smells like the scent that's left on your clothes when you've worn Snake Oil the day before. It's a thick, but not strong (like Sugar Skull) sugary vanilla. It's nice to add some heaviness to other blends, like for making a heavier Dana O'shee. Very comforting, good to wear before bed.
