Elements of both fresh and cidery apples, with a head shop vibe. Usually the fresh apples are too chemical on me, but I kind of like this with the darkness underneath. Sadly it barely starts to dry before a floral comes out on top. The apple disappears, the headshop vibe remains for a little bit more, then it turns dry and floral. Second test: this is so wonderful from the vial I had to try again to be sure. Dark spooky apples in a forest again at first. I wish it would stay this way! Incensy headshop apples, mmm. Sadly, gradually the headshop incense smell begins to shift to a heavy dark floral smell, and the evil flowers begin slowly crushing the poor spooky apples to death. Woe. This one is a total morphing heartbreak. It goes from awesome to fail in less than 20 minutes.

This is a sharp boozy-fizzy scent, and it has that note that was in the Champagne& scents and whatever else the pale-fizzy booze scents have been, and it is a note that makes me feel ill. I also get a sharp evergreen note, so other reviews that say gin/juniper feel right on to me. As it dries I suddenly got a dirt smell, which is what made me come look at the other reviews, and I see at least one other person got dirt too so I feel slightly less insane now. I don't get any creamy vanilla, but I am amping the champagne to the exclusion of everything else, so it could be covered by that. Not my type of scent. But if you love the lab's champagne note you might like this, because it's the strongest thing in here for me.

Either the sniffy from the circle was mislabeled, or my nose is broken, because I smell neither chocolate nor rose. I get the floral kind of vanilla, like what is in CC:Female, and something powdery at first. Turns more vanilla as it dries, ending as a dryish dusty vanilla with a faint tinge of floral. I prefer the end to the beginning, but it's not my kind of scent either way.

From the vial this smells like citrus cleanser. On my skin the tea jumps out and it smells like tea and citrus cleanser. Picking up something rubbery as it dries. Tea tends to manifest on my skin in oddly chemical ways, and this is no exception. Something in the background of this makes me think of going in Pier One, all wicker and potpourri smelling. And the furniture has recently been polished with Lemon Pledge.

Shriekingly high-pitched, instantly headache-inducing cheap perfume stank. Oh god, I can't believe I'm putting this on me. This smells like drugstore perfume when you discover it packed away in a box in the attic and it has gone over from heat and a decade of disuse. Something in here is powdery. There are probably florals. I have no idea, but this is one of the worst things I've ever tried. I don't think even a cheap whore would wear this, because I don't think you could actually get sex while smelling of it. It would drive all the boys from the yard.

From the vial this is a high-pitched soapy astringency. On skin it turns into scented laundry detergent… soap with a floral tinge.
-
Orange and something else I can't quite put my finger on. Slightly perfumey, slightly powdery, but also slightly sweet? A little tinge of the almost foody perfumeyness from Nepthys v3. Not working for me.
-
Foody but also an almost-bugspray citrus note. Very weird. Drying to orangey cake, maybe some anise as other reviews mention. A touch of bitterness, anyway. Also got a bit boozy. Second try: orangey cake off the bat, dried to a perfumey sharpness. Two strikes is plenty; it's kind of making me feel ill.

Milk chocolate from the vial, but I'm getting something else subtle with it… but what? I have alternately thought coffee, peanut butter, incense, booze. On my skin it gets kind of yucky, and is plastic chocolate and … booze? Like, wine. Later, like tomato soup. This is weird. Based on how sought-after it is I'm glad it doesn't work on me!

Very perfumey powdery. Somewhat familiar, but I can't place it. I may just be thinking of baby powder, because that's mostly what I smell.. Sweet baby powder. Cloying and ugh.

Something in this immediately makes me think of Chinese food. Resolving into damp florals. Turning fresher and more deodorizerish as it dries. Something green is emerging from the mix too. Florals amp toward the end and the green bite reads as stems from cut flowers. Powdery watery florals in the final stage.
-
Heady, incensy floral, perhaps with some red musk in there. Turns to perfumey chemical floral as it dries.
-
I get a bit of citrus, and something perfumey so musk maybe, and something sweet like white sugar. As it dries I amp the high-pitched musk and the sweetness is gone.
-
Biting green, like bitter plant sap. Very strong. Stays sharply green at first, but as it dries a powdery-perfumey aspect arrives. Not my kind of scent at all. Kind of amazed it doesn't soap on me though!
-
This is mostly red musk, but I also detect a floral in here. It has a touch of a damp, heady quality lurking around in the red musk. Second test: def lurking damp floral in with loads of red musk. I don't get coconut. I much prefer B.B3.

From the wand I smell coffee with a meaty undertone. The meat comes out on my skin though and it smells like roasting turkey or something… I can smell stock, and fat, and the whole nine yards. Kind of gross. Now the coffee is the undertone. I need to stop sniffing this one because it's making me feel kind of ill... my arm should not smell like this.
-
Much sharper than the v5. This has a lemony-herbal smell to it. A similar latex smell to the other one seems to reside underneath. Becomes less sharp, less latex, and more vanilla as it dries. Verbena and vanilla at this point. At final dry-down v5 & v7 smell very similar, sort of chemical-latex vanilla.
-
Heady, exotic, incensy, sophisticated floral, almost certainly some red musk. Am I getting tea as it dries? Starts oddly good, but dries to heavy floral doom.
-
Hmm… other reviews say tea and fruit. I get some familiar but unplaceable… sweetness... maybe some musk, but I can also go with tea. Slightly fruity but not to be pegged as any particular fruit. Something sharp and perfumey drifting in there, which is I think why I'm guessing on a musk. It is sort of spicy fruits, but not too fruity. Kind of perfumey. Is not my style.
-
Sugary sweetness like simple syrup, and honey. Then honey honey honey. Starts pretty but ultimately fails at honey, which is not a note I can wear, as it turns funky on me.
-
Fruity bubblegum. Very sugary at first. As it begins to dry something else is coming out though… hard to place. Booze maybe? Dries down kind of familiar, maybe some vanilla… it's kind of cake-like and musky in the same way Floating Brain [released] was. Ok, but not my style of scent.
-
I sorta get something piney in the background if I sniff the wand, but on my skin it's pretty astringent, and moves immediately toward perfumey. Whatever is making this perfumey is the same note from Nepthys v4 I think. It's perfumey bordering to soapy. Any pine or resin that may be here is completely covered by whatever this perfumey note is... a floral? A musk? A combo of both? I dunno, but it does not play nicely with me.

Harsh, sharp, soapy, perfumey floral. Ugh. This is what I think of as grandmother perfume.
-
At a sniff: dark, heady floral, slightly damp. On: more of the same. Very florist flower smelling, hothouse type. Not shifting much as it dries. Seems to become cheaper smelling and more cloying though, kind of gives me a headache.

Butterscotch from the vial, on skin I smell a whiff of the dreaded plastic if I sniff up close. But the throw is still butterscotch yum. A bit of a mixed bag. Testing again later finds it still playing out a bit buttery/plastic. It's ok, but I have foody scents I'd reach for first.
