    Love's Philosophy

I love Antique Lace, and MB: Underpants is pretty good on me, though not mindblowing or anything. Anyway, I thought for sure this one would be a hit, but no go. Love's Philosophy is cream mixed with bad, icky plastic vanilla. It smelled artifical to the extreme. Chalk this one up to the ever unpredictable BPAL vanilla/plastic issue. I really wish there was some way to predict which vanillas will go plastic and which won't. *Sigh*

    Christmas Rose

Ok, I don't normally review things, but my impressions of this seem so different from what's been mentioned that I had to post something. Normally, I'm not a big fan of florals, so I wasn't expecting terribly much when I tested my decant. I was VERY surprised, upon sniffing it wet, both in the imp and on the back of my hand, to get a very bright fresh scent that smelled anything but floral to me. I do get some of what other people are calling that effervescent feel, but on me this settles down more as a juicy fruity scent than a floral one. I can't even really place what fruit it comes across to me like, perhaps some sort of citrus?, but it doesn't feel floral and it's just boggling my mind. I wasn't expecting to need more than a decant of this and now it's on my bottle list for Yules to get before they come down! Go figure!

    Pronouncing "BPAL" and scent names!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that makes up names for the scents they can't pronounce correctly. I've been referring to 'Szepasszony' as 'that Spazzy one' for weeks now.
