coconut, mint and rum? i had to try it, and i'm glad i did. spooky is awesome in a bottle. glad i bought two. sweet!
-
my bottle was labelled 'feathered snake oil' (my seller had it listed on the forum as beth's experimental #1 though) and to my nose this is a creamier snake oil (more vanilla, less patchouli) with some hints of berry in with the spices. colour is dark, blood orange in hue. it's absolutely lovely, has lots of throw, and lasts all day. great stuff...if it's any clue as to what the snake pit is all about, i'm all for it.

blue moon smells like powder blue. cool, without being chilly, and very refreshing. it's cucumber and aloe but sweetened, like fresh honeydew melon. another fresh aquatic-like scent that is surprisingly pleasant. i liken this to the coolness of obatala. very nice.
-
i knew i was gonna love this one. it is indeed boozy, and spicy. i've had a thing for spicier scents lately, especially after falling for dragon's milk. plus, the clove in this makes it a winner for me. very nice.

i absolutely love this scent, and am so glad i finally got a chance to try it, because it has jumped to the the top of my GC 'must have' list. warm, sweet, and sexy spice...a dragon's blood scent that works for me! i'm thrilled!

i got an imp of this from my bpal enabler, i have been trying to get misk u for far too long! wet, it smells just like a glass of iced bailey's. i know, because i LOVE bailey's! however, the sweetness does fade, and the oak note begins to peer out. for anyone who loves the smell of coffee, this is a very comforting scent. i think i'll still be on the lookout for a bottle

i am very surprised by how much i like this scent. it's herbal, which i am usually turned off by, but i think that the lab's 'skin scent' warms it up enough to suit me. musky, but not overly so. buck moon also has the barest whisper of citrus to my nose. this is one of those very pleasant, subtle scents. i may have to find a bit more
-
i got this from ebay and i was very surprised how juicy it smells, very much like ripe fruit. however, after a while it goes plastic on my skin, which then decides to eat the scent. i may try it again some other time, maybe even as a layering scent, but the single notes are so hard to come by i may just end up sniffing it from time to time

my first thoughts on this were 'fizzy orange drink'. it's very tart from the bottle, but has a sweeter dry down on my skin. i'm not great with citrus, but this will be great for people who love orange notes.

this is snow white, part two...i even got some of the play doh morphing that i did with snow white 05. this reminds me of cucumber-melon...watery with the slightest hint of sweetness. i was hoping to be swayed from the foodie camp with a great fresh scent...but i don't think this one is it.

if you love eat me...you'll love haloa. from the imp i do get the beaver moon heady swirl of cheesecake, but in the drydown this turns more cake than cheesecake. still, a lovely foody scent. and no pine or sleet!

PQ is all buttery goodness when sniffing from the bottle...almost PURE buttery goodness. but it morphs on the skin into spicy, pumpkin love. the pumpkin isn't cloying, and i agree that this isn't the in your face pumpkin of Jack (another one of my faves, though). instead, the Queen is subtle and yes...regal. i'm SO glad i have two bottles
-
this is a complex scent. dark and musky, but sweet and spicy. i'm not getting so much powder as incense from this one...i think i'll give it an hour and see what i think then. this is a heady blend, i'm not sure if i love it or hate it...but i keep sniffing my wrist to be sure
-
it smells....purple. headier than i thought it would be, with lots of throw. sweet yet boozy, i can definitely smell the grapes among the violet. another bpal floral has won me over, and i wasn't expecting to like this one nearly this much.

... Orris root, white sage, rowan bark and red sandalwood, with myrrh, rosemary, lemon balm and honeysuckle. this was was so bright and crisp out of the imp, i decided to try it on the spot. i haven't had too much good luck with citrus so far, and i don't think i've yet tried a lemony oil, but polyhymnia goes on strong then dries down smooth and herbally. the lemon dies away to something much more subtle, letting the other notes take over. pleasant, but i doubt i'll buy a bottle.
-
fan fucking tastic. but i agree with all the snake oil comments, and i think that with clever layering, you could probably recreate this instead of paying through the nose for it.
-
i clung to my imp of hetairae for weeks before finally trying it...i had a lot of high hopes for this one but i'm sort of bothered by the soapy, powdery morph it goes through. it's pleasant enough, spicy and sweet, but on me it faded fast and just isn't really what i'm looking for in clovey, honey scents. next!
-
this scent was so complex, i wasn't sure what i was smelling, as it seemed to morph constantly. it smells creamy and good, and has so far been the only bpal chocolate not to smell rancid on me. still, not sure if i'll keep it in regular rotation.
-
got an imp of this from jocosa...thanks! this is the first bpal oil i've ever used that gave me a skin reaction. my skin feels tingly and actually COOL, i'm assuming because of the mint. i have an imp of lick it that i've been saving for christmas, but i'm sure that i will recognize the mint in that blend as the same in nine mysteries. i have been really intrigued by the morphing of this one, from OMG MINT to hints of citrus, ginger, and violet? i think it smells interesting, but the boyfriend test seems to have failed...he claims my hand smells like medicine or disinfectant. not exactly the response i was looking for i'm on the fence with this one. i love the freshness of it, i may wear it as i would normally instead of just a wrist test next time.

this scent reminds me a lot of pink phoenix, on booze. i've had my bottle for some time and never got around to testing it, because i was wary of the crystalline champagne. but now i'm so glad i did! this dries down to a fruity fresh strawberry, juicy and ripe. it went plasticky during the morphing stage, but i'm impressed with the long lasting fruityness. a keeper!
-
this smells like kettle corn. sweet, salty, and buttery. awesome.
-
i LOVE pink phoenix. it's fruit and candy all rolled up into one, sweet and sexy. i'm definitely going to have to break down and buy a bottle of this sometime. yum!
-
this was totally not what i was expecting...i'll agree with the supremegoddess...i wish the jasmine would back off, cause i REALLY wanted some honey out of this. instead for the first couple of hours i got knocked back with jasmine, herbs, and a slight hint of ginger. this did die down to something nicer, but i'm disappointed overall. i need some single note honey probably.
-
oh noes! where is the pear? this turned to soap ick on me. swap.

i stuck this under my boyfriend's nose and he instantly said MARZIPAN! he's pretty good. maybe he should be a reviewer. i get a very incensy, spicy musk with a bit of fruit to sweeten the lot. this isn't as sweet as i thought it might be, it's heady and is drying down slightly powdery. i like it anyway.
