Roses Ablaze

So, like, I'm the only one who got a strong aftershave scent on this one? I mean, I like the scent of aftershave but it's not really something I'd want to wear.

First ever order. And...wow. I knew PBAL's oils were strong, but I could smell this through the package O_O Not what I was expecting, although I can't say I'm unhappy. Very resinous (I think? Reminds me of pine sap), a bit sweet. No apply spices, but oh well... Of course now that it's drying down I can detect the spices a little. Things have a tendancy to turn sweet on me, I think.

Like hay or something - I don't mean the kind of green grass you grown in your lawn. I mean something more golden or brown than green.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but the thread is six pages long, so... Anyways, I'm looking for a rose scent that's not too girly and flowery and not too musty, just...rosy. A light scent, rather than a heavy scent. Red rose sounds like it would have been perfect, but since it's no longer available, is there a buyable scent that's similar?
