In the bottle I got a rich almond scent. YUM! Wet: the smoke patchouli and pine all came out strong As it dried down the almonds came back out (or the patchouli and pine backed off) It's got quite a bit of throw and a nice almond/pine scent to it. Though when I sniff my skin I get a whole lot of smoke and that's not so lovely.

Oh warm pumpkin spicey scent. Wet it was very sweet and strong. Dry down: it bloomed into a warm fall spice scent. The sweetness faded off.

In the bottle I smelled a lot of sugar. As I put it on and it dried down, the jasmine came out and pretty much took over. I'm not a huge fan of jasmine and so it became overpowering pretty quickly.

It was very sweet in the bottle. Just complete sugar. (hence the name of course) As it dried down I got the maple syrup and brown sugar. It didn't change much after that. I smelled like I"d been baking all day. Nice but not a perfume for me

I like this one. Very strong on the rose and the jasmine. It has a memory of a elderly ladies perfume for me. Though I can't recall the name of it.
-
This is very fruity which is lovely, but then I get a whiff of dirty diapers. I think this one is getting passed on to someone who has better chemistry than I. *shudder*

I wanted this one to work for me so much, but I'm getting the feeling that she's too much for me. At first I get a heavy dose of 'dirty' lavender. Almost a medicinal bitter smell. It does die down and I smell the orange and the amber. But it's not enough to cover the medicial smell.

In the bottle light and sweet apricots I smell the orange and musk as it dries, but it retains the lovely apricot scent as well. I LOVE it!
-
Wow this one was so strong in the bottle I couldn't manage to even put it on. Like a previous reviewer said "get it away from me" I'm not even sure what it was that caused the reaction as I usually love forest/pine scents. Just opening the bottle made me react.

This is another one I like straight out of the bottle. No warm up necessary. It was fruity and exotic with just a hint of floral. Like fruit in the jungle ;-) But like most of the fruity/light florals it didn't last on me very long.

Wow, just WOW. I'm not really into foodie scents other than fruit (lemon, strawberry and the like) but this has my mouth watering. Dark rich chocolate with a LOT of throw there's also a hint of peanut butter, thought that could be my brain craving reese peanut buter cups. I didn't even have to sniff my wrist to get this one. It came and attacked me! Hmmm must go find come real chocolate now. Dry, the chocolate is REALLY sticking around. Nice and deep. I love this. I'll wear it when I want to get my neck nibbled for sure!

mint orange and honey were the first scents out of the bottle. It reminded me of my aunt. And not in a bad way Dry it's down to orange and tea scent. It's very light and quite nice.

Lemon seems big with the Carnaval series in general. Either that or my nose just hones in on it. It's a bright lovely lemon though. I keep waiting for the darker aspects but even after a while, it was just a light lemon scent.

Wow the jasmine on this one is strong. I had to refer back to find out what other things I SHOULD be smelling. My skin as apparently ate all the other notes. I may as well be wearing straight jasmine oil. Which isn't BAD per se. But not all that I'd hoped for.

Wet: I smell smoke and lemon though there's something that hints around the edges that I just don't like Dry: I believe it's the musk that's the culpret. The lemon has died back but the tea/musk has jumped up. Blech. I had to wash it off.

I'm still not able to tell which scent is which. But in the bottle this was a nice fresh scent. I liked it immediatly. It almost has a hint of lemon with something steadier. On the skin the lemon gets stronger but now I can smell the lavender. It's a nice middle weight scent not to overpowering and doesn't fade in 20 minutes.

BPAL scents appropriate for very young children?
tempestteapot replied to beetiger's topic in Recommendations
All my kids love it when I get a new package in the mail (lately it's been every day) We all try the new imps on together and everyone tries to describe what they smell and guess what it's 'supposed' to smell like. It's been great fun. -
I'm a little late in the game with this one. *sad* But I got an imps worth today. In the bottle I wasn't impressed. It smelled like strawberrys and cleaning fluid. NOT a pretty mix. Wet it still had the undertone of chemicals, but I could also smell the berrys and something else like they got the whole plant in there, not just the fruit. Lovely fruity and green. Dry it's become a light strawberry with other faint cream. I LOVE this scent. However since it's been so long since the LE came out I dispare ever getting more than a sniffy of this. Later: Hubby sniffed me when he got home and asked why I had strawberry AstroGlide on my hands. *blush* Now it's the only think I can smell. ARGH!

In the bottle: Very strong fir. It overpowered everything else. Wet: Again the fir dominated, though I did get suble whifs of the smoke and leather Dry: The fir has tamed down a bit so I get the lovely, sitting in the library in the armchair scent. Mmmmm good memories. I like this one a lot. But it's got a lot of throw, so I'll wear it sparingly or not very often. I decapitated my imp. *wail* I tried to tape it shut but it bled all over itself. Fortunatly no other imps were harmed in this profuse bleeding, but my balsawood box now REALLY smells like fir trees. No more 'general bpal' scent for it.

In the bottle: it was a very strong and almost over powering scent. It's one to make you go 'phew' Wet: I don't smell the cherrys, I get rubbing alchol on wood. Almost a varnish scent. Dry: Even dry I don't smell the cherrys. I've just got an overpowering woodshop smell. I don't think this is going to be something I'm going to buy again. Edit: 24 hours later I notice that where I put this scent on my skin there's a slightly sore spot and the skin is lighter. Weird.

It's DEFINATLY a foodie scent. I'm a little overwhelmed. After the lightness of the Unicorn, this scent pretty much ripped the doors off. Wet: it smells part carmel corn and part cake. I'm sure I'm smelling the currents too but my nose hasn't developed enough to tell for sure. Dry: again it's still very strong on me. Very buttery carmel corn. I think I'm going to pass on this one though, I'm glad I only got a half-imp. In the words of my husband "I kinda like it...yet I don't" My first non-raving success. But one out of four isn't bad at all.

In the bottle it was light fresh floral. Even my husband liked it. Wet: it was very sweet and again kind of flowery. Not so much that I can pick out WHICh flowers but just a gardeny kind of floral. Dry: again it's still sweet with a hint of floral but not over powering at all. I have to actually sniff the spot to get much of a scent. It faded pretty quickly. I think this will be a good day to day at work scent for me. Nice and light without knocking anyone over.

In the bottle: Sweet and citrus. Scents trigger colors for me, this one is bright lime green. Wet: I get the froot loops cereal sweetness and a bit of the pepper that made my nose twitchy. Interestingly enough, my daughter described it as popcorn. Drydown: light bright and airy citrus with a LOT of sugar. I didn't notice the pepper anymore but I did get a faint bit of tea. Overall: I love it. This is my first scent I've received and I can't wait to get a 5ml.

My first review! In the bottle: sweet and fruity, a deep smell. It smells RED. Wet: the nasty cough medicine my mother used to give me as a kid Beginning to dry: The fake cherry smell backs off a bit and I get more of the 'deep' scents. Dry: If I get to close and really breathe it in, I still get the cough medicine. But if I just go about my business I get a lovely cherrys and wood smell. This isn't something that I'm going to wear close to my face. A smear on my right wrist is more than enough.

I did several searchs and didn't find anything so here goes: Do you know if you can freeze the oils and have them stay the same effectiveness? Will it make them last longer (prevent changes to the scents due to aging)? Or will it just totally destroy them? I was thinking about making up some lotion with some of the bpal oils in it, and thought about freezing the ziplock baggie it's mixed in so that when you pull it out of the freezer, you can peel the bag away from the mix and there's no waste. It's a theory anyways.
