smelled light and sweet in the bottle. when i put on my skin, INSTANT powder. the powder only grew stronger the longer it was on. first bpal i've ever had to wash off (i gave it 30 minutes). i am definitely not good.

in bottle: bitter. on me: bitter. man... i guess musky cranberries aren't for me. i can smell light ginger and other spices, but i'm not getting any lily at all. as an added bonus, this makes my throat close up a little. not from allergies or anything, i'm just not a big fan of tart smells. i agree with whoever said it should be a room scent. wearing this as a fragrance is a bit much.

in bottle: unassuming, smoky. on skin: satan's sock drawer. no, seriously, i can smell every individual note. which is surprising, i'm not usually that discerning. the lichen, the oak leaf, overlaid by a very smoky smell (the civet?), earthy vetiver and light anise. drydown: the anise is coming out a little more. so now i smell like a licorice cave troll. i've been told to hold out for chocolate elf maiden, i'll have to wait and see. verdict: black annis smells EXACTLY LIKE the lab description. i'm a little freaked out. i like it, but i seriously doubt i could walk around smelling like hell's backyard. i'll save it for when i'm feeling evil.

from my first set of imps. i really like this! in the bottle it's kind of perfume-y, but on my skin all i can smell is the hazelnut. after the drydown the coconut starts coming through - this is a very foody smell to me. i enjoy coconut and hazelnut, but the iris is a little too sweet. i'll have to wait a few hours to make a final verdict. ETA: yea, i can already tell this is going to be too sweet for me. pity! i really liked the description. oh well.

this was a frimp, i'll probably gift it since i'm not big on the lighter scents. i had my little sister try this on - she thinks it's very light and airy. i can't smell it at all and my mother thinks it's slightly soapy. so! heh. after about 30 minutes, the drydown reveals a buttery smell, though still very light. i'm not getting the florals/ozone/fruit at all. that said, i think the name's fitting... i probably won't buy this scent for myself but my sister likes it - sounds like a good b-day present!

in the bottle: roses. skin: still roses, but with the tiniest hint of white musk. dry: this is *exactly* how i thought it would smell. tears and roses. perfect. my sister smelled it and yelled, 'smells like funeral flowers!' so. apparently this is not a blend i can wear around the fam. oh well. i like it! maybe not enough to buy a bottle, as i'd like it to be a little saltier, but this is a great rose scent.

baku smells EXACTLY like a bath and body works fragrance i love: blue lavender palmarosa. the anise/bergamot scent is overpowering - i love it. unfortunately, this isn't a nightmare bane for me. after using this for three nights, i continue to have vivid, restless dreams. and i also overslept twice! so, i don't think i'll be able to use this as a sleep aid. on to somnus!

this smell the same regardless of location - imp/skin. a rosy scent - almost too floral? but the underlying dragon's blood makes this sharp. i bought this to remind myself that roses have thorns, so i got what i paid for. as with the dragon's tears, though, i think wearing this scent is a bit much for me. could be i'm having a reaction to the dragon's blood. i like this scent, though. very powerful.

this smells the same regardless of location - imp, skin (wet and dry). bitter, sharp. i guess that's the dragon's blood? salty. this gives me a bad feeling. i feel ominous when i wear it. hm. i can't even really articulate the smell, it's just a very portentous scent. i don't know if i like this! i like to smell it, but i don't think i like to wear it. to be honest, i'm kind of scared of this scent. *creeped out*

imp: extremely floral. like, an overwhelming orchid/lilac floral. i was skeptical. skin: still floral but with a salt chaser. dry: cinnamon. i know, what? then spiced rum. i love this. overall, i like this scent. it's nothing like i anticipated (then again, this came from my first batch of imps - wasn't really sure what to expect). i'm going to give this one to a male friend and see what he thinks. this seems like a masculine scent on skin.

all i smell is the lemon. with an undercurrent of...danger? haha. for real. i nicknamed this scent e.v.i.l. - every vial is lemons. it's a spongebob joke! i like this scent on me, didn't like it in the bottle. i agree with previous reviewers; it can smell a bit like pinesol. hopefully i'll be able to pick out the individual notes the more i wear it. i might end up buying a bottle of this.
