  1. I did include my UK address in the comments. The American one is my family's house :P it's just a waste of postage to have to send it twice. I'll email the lab and double check on things, thanks!

ETA: email has been sent! And I did have the thought to check my confirmation number and it seems the box was shipped on Wednesday. If only it could tell me where it was going to!

  2. I've just made my first international order but had to use my old US Paypal because it wasn't allowing me to register a new account. I explained this in my order & payed the fees for intl shipping. I received my Click N Ship and the shipped to address is my address in the states; it only says this because it is the address in my Paypal file, yes? What email address should I use to contact the lab about this?

  3. Bumping this thread 'cause I am in serious need. I've fallen into a depressive episode and after three years of being on my meds they're not quite treating me for what I need anymore so I'm anywhere between feeling sluggish and crappy to an absolute mess. Since I moved over here from NY I've been getting my prescriptions filled there and sent to me but my doc wants me to find someone over here and I've begun the search; only, I can't see my GP for two weeks for counselling or a referral and I'm really stuck. It's extra hard for me now since my depression is getting in the way of my school work which is why I moved to another country to begin with. I'm all alone here and all I've got for treatment other than the meds is my BPAL. My regular mood lifting scents are working for me now so what I need is recs or more information on Panacea and the Voodoo blends and which ones I should try out since determining exactly what can help soothe me is difficult. I'm not looking for a cure in perfume but something to help me cope would be wonderful :P

  4. Winter Holiday 2007 Stress Relief Elixir given out with purchase at the Sea of Tranquility Will Call events, Saturday December 22, 2007.

In the bottle this has a vaguely minty smell, like wintergreen gum, my nose feels chilly after sniffing it; geranium is a strong note as well.

On the skin the mint fades (thankfully!) away to leave a distinctively herbal smell with a medicinal quality. Very soothing close to the skin scent; you could douse yourself in this for after holiday shopping and float around in your own stress free bubble. I definitely had nothing like it in my BPAL collection before.

  5. In the bottle: strong smell of lotus.

On: Definitely has that "lunar oils" smell about it. I was not sure about it at first but it is an interesting addition to my collection; I could definitely wear it on formal occasions. A stunning white throw but not white floral.

  6. Trying this out again with a more open mind and nose :P Wet this is super figgy with the sharp scent the honey note has when it is first applied to the skin. A second wave comes that screams jasmine! The jasmine/honeysuckle blend is definitely the strongest coming out of the blend; definitely a white flower ampage -- my dad made a comment that it "smelled like we've been burning lots of candles in here for a week" whatever that means. He also smelled vanilla wafting off of me which has to be the tonka, although I do not detect it. No carnation or almond to be found either, although the almond may contribute to the sharp, almost bitter smell this gives off at the instant it is applied to my skin. I think I smell a bit of apricot up my arm where the oil was rubbed in, it's yummy but not present in the overall scent of the blend. Like with any other honey blend it is the note to outlast all others and leaves a soft and sweet skin scent of honey.

  7. Has anyone brought bottles with them recently, specifically international flights? I have a rather small bottle collection ~20 that I would so prefer to carry on with me, but I would be devastated if they made me pour out my Corazon, Strawberry Moon, etc. I'm definitely going to call the airline to double check but as long as all of them don't exceed the amount listed (70 oz which is +2000 mL) it'll be alright, right? Right? :P

Bonus for packing imps -- my dad has two ammo cases for his starting blanks that were made for live ammo, so they are an empty box with thick styrofoam tray with slots for all the imps. *Yay* So I can pack the empty lidded boxes and use the padded ones for extra protection.

  8. In the imp this is a pleasant berry tinged dark smell, but it all goes awry when applied to my skin. I definitely get the marijuana comparison some have smelled. This is dirty and smelly in a bad way. Pepper and patchouli and they aren't playing nice. I smell a bit like Ajax powder.

  9. I am so very disappointed with the reaction this had with my skin. Australian Copperhead was the Snake pit I was most looking forward to trying -- what a perfect combination it should be! In the vial it is a delicious berry scent. However when I put it on :P dish soap and snake oil!

Tried in another imp and got a much better reaction to it. I like to layer this scent with commercial scent (L de Lolita Lempicka) and other BPAL. Yummy.

  10. In the bottle I smell a bit of the delicious currant cake smell. Put it on and it is instantly biting, dry, stinky incense that makes me want to wash it off immediately. Still I let it dry (you never know what it'll turn out to be like!) But No cake :P Maybe a bit of flour? (weird) but nothing yummy to be found in All Souls on my skin.

  11. Wet is delicious buttery pastry and..bubblegum? Lots of cherry bubblegum! Sweet, cherry-flavoured candies. It does calm down rather quickly into a strawberry scented something--can't quite place my finger on what it reminds me of but it's definitely a candy/junk food-- Strawberry Blow Pops! Tempered with powdered sugar. This is a morpher! All of a sudden it smells like another delicious candy I'm remembering from my childhood..rock candy! And those old fashion candy sticks I used to get at the farmer's market. It settles on pure strawberry note :P with a hint of powdered sugar donut. A few minutes later I get whiffs of raspberries & cream. I feel like I'm at Willy Wonka's Factory. This is so sweet but not sickeningly; it's strong but pleasantly sugary, invoking lots of memories of being a little girl at a slumber party. Candy/fruit roll ups/eating ice cream till you puke all rolled into one. Sleepover in a bottle.

  12. In the bottle I smell a lavender and cedar mix, almost a cologne smell. I slather this on yet it is still so light. And I am instantly in love :) No lavender attack, just a completely gorgeous, well blended scent. I agree with Anna D that it has a quality to it that reminds me of Possets Ultramarine Blue, the blue musk and that vanilla-y smell-- loving the blue musk and I want to see (er, smell) more of it! No currants yet but the amber mingling with the florals creates the most beautiful warm scent. I'm surrounded by this warm, sweet fluffy cloud. I could go on and on about this reading from the thesaurus for "gorgeous." Freaking amazing and I'm thrilled that it lived up to my expectations. Definitely a slather scent for me. I may actually pick up another bottle at will call and I never buy multiples.

About a half hour/45 minutes I noticed the currants have come out to play. They are very light, just a spritzing of berry, and are mingling with some other notes I could not name -- possibly the olive blossom. It just gets better with wear.

Two hours later the currants have come forward a bit more. They're not nestling so close to my skin. There is a delicious warm berry throw from the mix of currants and amber.

    A review in pictures: :D :D :D B) :D ;) :P

  13. This is such a delicious blend and I'm not much of a foody scent person at all. Scrumptious warm cakes and bright currants. I never thought to try this or that I would even like it but am so glad I did! This is exactly what I dreamed Crumpet Rebellion would smell like. So so so good. Definitely need more of it.

Edited: Eat Me made me a foody scent lover. I'll never go back! One of my top scents.

  14. I like it despite the tea rose, the worst offender of ruining rose scents for me -- but I don't see myself ever wearing it. Still it's beautiful and not at all "ugh rose get it away from me!" Don't be afraid of it if you don't like other rose scents. The vanilla musk is delicious and I demand more blends with it!

  15. The second I apply this to my skin I get a burst of purple. Drying it becomes simply floral incense. There is a bit of a sharp, pepper note wafting behind everything -- the pimento. No plum or my beloved red musk yet. My favorite thing about The Witch Queen is the scent memory it triggers -- in my nose rests the exact smell of a dress I got at a head shop on the Jersey Shore as a little girl; a million smoky incenses mingling together to form this amazing smell. The first time I've smelled it in years and it is so evocative for me.

ETA: Red musk has arrived! At 11:42 am. I'm liking what this scent is doing.

  16. I put this on and it is the most wonderful candy, fruity, fluffy smell. But then..come back! it dries to grass and strong flowers. As it further dries I get a little bit of that sugared incense coming back but there's nothing like that delicious first sniff.
