It smelled fresh, clean, with a hint of darkness in the imp. On my skin, it smelled sharp, piercing, bitter, and acrid. It gave me a splitting headache. I was really hoping this would work for me -I do like ylang ylang in small doeses sometimes, and I love all things patchouli. But my darn skin amp'd up the florals to the point where they were sickening, and they were all I could smell. Sadly, this was washed immediately. Onto the swap pile for you!

It smelled fresh and clean in the imp "Oh how nice! A floral I might be able to wear" I thought. Oh how wrong I was. It goes on like violet soap. Strong, piercing, violet soap. I smell like a Crabtree and Evelyn store -soapy, cloying, and pungent. My head is pounding and I'm going to have to wash this off without waiting for the drydown. Pity.

In the IMP: it smelled funky in the imp, sweet and sour at the same time. I was nervous. On my skin (wet): Sweet and musky, reminds me of a sweeter version of Sin. On my skin (dry): Now mostly sweet, but not sickenenly so. Very soft and pretty, slightly fruity. I love this scent! Very nice. I can't stop smelling myself! I smell of pretty fruit with a hint of musk. Light, playful, but devilish too. This scent lasted 12+ hours on me. Not a giant throw, but very long lasting. We likes it.

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?
talula_fairie replied to Nadirah's topic in Recommendations
I usually hate rose blends -they almost always go soap-y and grandmaish on me, and they go straight to my head making it pound. That said, Mata Hari is probably the best smelling floral I've tried yet -it's not straight rose (probably why I like it) but soft rose tainted with Jasmine and warmed by vanilla, mahogany, fig, and tonka with a touch of coffee. BRILLIANT. -
I thought I really loved this scent at first, but I think it was my plugged nose (getting over a cold) playing tricks on me. It's not bad, certainly a tolerable rose on me, but not something that I really like. In the imp: it smelled very nice, soft jasmine, a touch of rose and some warm coffee/tonka/musky notes. I was very hopeful but... On my skin: smelled alright at first, but once it was fully dry it turned into a soap-ish rose smell. No other scent was detected, just rose. I wore it all day long (had to reapply every two hours, this one fades completely away on me after that time period) just to be sure of the scent since I appeared to like it so much at first but not later (I think my nose was blocking out the rose smell at first, I really don't care for rose....) It ended up reminding me of a grandma or a sachet that I'd put in my underwear drawer.

I loooooooove this scent. It's a warm, soft, pretty vanilla/honey scent. A bit more food-y than O and not quite as sexual, this is a great everyday scent for me. Very comforting, very pretty. The scent stayed pretty true weather wet/dry/fading (though I have a bit of a cold so I can't smell it as well when it starts to fade), although wet I can smell more of the dragon's blood and as it dried I smell more vanilla. Also, I forgot to add, this scent lasts FOREVER on me. Not a big throw, but I can still smell it hours and hours later. The more I wear it the more I love it.

This is a very nice scent, but I don't love it as a perfume. I once had a candle from Illuminations (called Pumpkin, they release it every year) that smelled *exactly* like it, so that's what it reminds me of. It's nice, but too room-sprayish for perfume. Will be using it as a room scent, for sure.

This goes on a sweet, warm scent. Vanilla and honey and amber, oh my! All my favorite scents. It smells divine and the scent stays pretty true all the way until it fades. A very sexy, pretty, warm scent. I am in love.

Yea um...I don't get the tiddli either. Well, actually, I *get* it, it just won't let me type text into the boxes for some unknown reason.

Lush, velvet-red blooms born from the blood shed in the eternal battle between Set and Horus the Avenger. In Bottle: sweet, fruity floral with something dark behind it. STRONG. On skin (wet): I was really worried after sniffing the bottle...I've been in floral overload due to a set of imps I won on ebay...anyway. This instantly went to a sweet, luscious scent on my skin. Allllllllmost too sweet at first, but the dark, leering notes beneth the sweetness kept it from crossing the line into candyland. On skin (dry): This dried into a very, very pretty soft scent that wore close to the skin and lasted 10+ hours. I put it on about 2 hours before going to bed and still smelled it in the morning. It smelled of honey, vanilla, and soft overripe fruit. A really beautiful scent, and one I will probably want to wear every day. DELICIOUS. ETA: Lab Description

I LOVED the description of this one and wasn't sure I was going to like it when I smelled it in the bottle. OH HOW WRONG I WAS. It does go on sickeningly sweet bubble gum. Smelled like Trident to me. But that fades a bit and mellows within just a few minutes. It then morphs to a sweet, pretty, soft floral that is very nice (and I am not a floral gal). This *is* the scent of Jailbait. It took me right back to high school. Well done!

I hate rose scents, so I never did try this on my skin...BUT, if you love roses, you're going to LOVE this perfume. It did seem to be very well blended and lovely for the floral/rose scent fans.

This smelled so pretty and sweet in the vial -very promising. I usually like fruity scents as well, so I had high hopes. Had. It immediately smelled like the deoderizers they use in public restrooms and porta potties on my skin. It went sour immediately -eek! I tried waiting to get to the bottom notes -I really did. But alas, this one was washed off within 10 minutes. Not for me! But I bet with the right chemistry it would smell divine.

I loved the description, in the vial it smelled pretty nice as well. Very sweet, slightly floral. On my skin? Awful. Simply awful. Sickenenly sweet but yet sour too, like car deoderizer. Not good with my chemistry, not good at all. I couldn't even wait until I got to the bottom notes -this one had to be washed off within an hour. Bummer.

In bottle: hippie musk On skin (wet): Earthy, musky, sensual, warm. Great hippie/earth goddess scent. On skin (dry): Dries into a sweet, soft, sexy, resin-y scent that lasts all day. I love this scent! I ordered a 5ml of it and I'm so glad I did. I knew I'd love it (I LOOOOVE F & M) and I do. It smells fantastic on me, the longer I wear it, the better it smells.

In the bottle: Pretty, slightly fruity floral scent. On skin (wet): Very fruity with floral undertones. Nice, a little too strong for me, gives me a slight headache. On skin (dry): I could only stand wearing this for like 2 hours, so I didn't give it a full test run. This is a well blended scent, very nice, but not for me. The headache never went away, and it didn't mellow much on my skin. Definitely a long laster. Was very hard to wash it off, too. Good choice if you love very fruity florals. I've tried it twice now, and had the same reaction both times. Too strong, too floral. My skin amps up that rose and hangs onto it, baby. I smell like Grandma's soap. Too bad, it smelled so divine in the vial.

In Bottle: Sweet, pretty, strong berry smell On skin, wet: Very sweet berry smell, floral undertones, do not smell musk. On skin, dry (about 1 hour elapsed): Nothing but berries. Extremely sweet. My skin does not like this, and neither do I. Far too sweet for me (I'm a musky girl). This gives me a headache. I'm going to wash it off asap. Into the swap pile with you! ETA: 2 hours elapsed: I'm glad I got stuck under a sleeping baby (she's passed out on my lap), because this scent mellowed into a sweet, pretty, nice scent. The musk comes out to play, it becomes very soft and sexy. I smell soft berries one moment, musk the next. It's a really complex blend, and I can't stop smelling myself.

*screams* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH For some reason, the Tiddli whatever it is won't let me type in any of the edit boxes. I can get to the box, but NOTHING HAPPENS when I type. I'm using an updated firefox... AND to top it off, my computer didn't come with microsoft office after all. Well, it did, but only a trial version (though I am snagging a cd key from a friend this afternoon). So, no spreadsheeting for me today. *le sigh* ETA! Openoffice.org saves the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I have clicked several links to spreadsheets and none of them work....can anyone hook me up? Whatever program you reccomend I'll try. I'm pretty good with computers, and I do have Microsoft Office.... ETA: Nevermind I found it. Why do I always find what I am looking for AFTER I make a post asking about it?

First Sniff: Smells sweet, sexy, like incense. On skin: Pure sex. Pounding, wild, sweaty, dirty sex. Images of adult bookstores, lace, matted hair, smeared makeup, and sweat come to mind. I don't smell cinnamon, just sandalwood, amber, and a touch of patchouli. Drydown: You mean it gets better? This fades into a soft, sweet, head-y, still sexy but not slutty scent. It's delicious and I can't stop smelling myself. I smell mostly sweet sandalwood and amber. This is definitely the scent of sinful deeds. Shady deals in dark alleys and one night stands.
