Hmmm, a scent with a bunch of notes listed that I'm not really familiar with (except amber, which I lurve and leaves, which I know but.. seems.. foreign in fragrance to me).. okay.. here goes.. Death of Autumn in the bottle... is murky, deep, dark and.. smoky, almost like.. someone cooking some sort of.. meat.. over a campfire... On me wet - it retains it's.. weird cooking meat type scent.. though the leafy-ness comes through more.. now we are cooking meat over a campfire, and we tossed in some dried leaves to help the fire burn.. On me dry - it has started to.. lighten some, become a little.. spicier, a little.. sweeter, it is still dark and smoky, less meaty though. It sort of gives me a bit of a headache, me thinks my nose prefers the foody/sweet scents to this! Overall, it is an interesting blend, no doubt. It is just unusual to find the smell of leaves and a campfire in a scent. Once it simmers a bit on my skin, it really does make me.. a little.. nostalgic for the bonfire parties we had when I was in high school. The more I sit here smelling it, the more I like it as a scent, just not as a scent on me. I'll have to see if I can sneak some of this on my boyfriend, as I think that could be some deliciousness...

It smells like... a sweet version of pledge to me.. sugared pledge.. if that makes sense.. like.. eating fruit salad in a room that recently had the wooden floors cleaned and polished I don't really get any resin or incensey smell.. I don't know.. it's not a bad smell.. it's just a really.. clean.. floor smell...

One of my favorite's so far. Easily. It is amber, good, real, rich amber.. not fake, plastic, empty amber. And the sliver of blood in it.. slightly.. metallic.. but warm. It would be all the colors in a desert sunrise.. golden oranges and yellows with a streak of brilliant red. And the throw is great, the wear is great.. this never really gets wimpy on me. Others smell strongly for a couple minutes, others a couple hours.. this is one that I can apply in the morning and in the evening it is still present. Overall: Wears well, no crazing morphing into powder or soap or anything, wears long and smells warm and sweet and just lovely. What more could I want in a scent?

Smells a bit... boozy, in the bottle, wet on my skin and through most of the drydown. Like, a really incorrectly made Pina Colada.. or maybe the lush sitting on the beach who has had a few too many of them It might be one of the flowers in the scent, I have the hardest time picking out specific flowers from blends. I smell coconut, which I like.. but, it is backed by that.. booze type smell. Which isn't really bad.. just not something I want to smell like everyday. Overall, it's nice, sorta tropical.. sorta drunkeness, I wouldn't mind keeping an imp around, just in case but I wouldn't need a big bottle. Though I think it would be great to wear out to maybe... a club, in the summer, where it's hot and sticky.. and everyone else smells like booze too.. lol

Thanks for the guidance.. I think I am going to try either Antique Lace or Snake Oil, for myself. I told my boyfriend he gets nothing ordered for him specifically the first time, unless something I get smells mannish on me, then he has to try it Who knows what I will actually end up with though, I am giving a list of the scents that really really intrigue me now, and giving that to my mum, who is then going to somehow pick the few that I will get in my imp sampler so.. I may suggest to her very strongly to make sure Antique Lace or Snake Oil is included. Thanks again!

My boyfriend really likes Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly on women. I am working on placing my very first order with BPAL (it has taken me days to try and narrow down what I want to sample first) and I was really hoping to find something maybe kinda sorta similar to that one, as a treat for him (yes, I do love treating other people by buying myself things hehe) The description from the VS site says it is Vanilla, oriental, waterlilly, peony, freesia, iris, violet, poppy, white musk and sandalwood. He is fan of vanilla scents (as am I) so that should really by the.. top note (is that the right term?) and just have some of the other scent listed as like.. accessories.. if that makes sense. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
