As must as I like this scent, it's just way too strong on me and would very quickly give me a headache, which is a shame. Pass.

This was a frimp from the lab, as I almost never order scents with rose since they almost always turn into generic, old lady rose-scented soap. Since I had this one I went ahead and tried it, and yep. Generic, old lady rose-scented soap.

The scent of sacred incense swirling up the steep slopes to Swayambhunath Stupa. Saffron, blessed sandalwood, Himalayan cedar and the miraculous lotus of the Buddha with chiuri bark and Nepalese spices. Wow. After trying several softer scents this one nearly knocked my socks off. It's very strong cedar, incense and *sniffs again* yep, Vicks. The medicinal smell might go away as it dries, but I don't think I could stand it that long. Definitely passing on this one.

This is mostly a light heather scent, with just a hint of berry lurking somewhere underneath. It's a perfect springtime scent, or for those times when you wish it was spring. *g* Definitely a keeper.

This is really nice. It's light and green, with just a hint of wood and a bit of creaminess. It doesn't have a lot of throw, but for a nice, relaxing scent this is perfect.

This is a very nice, clean, light floral with a sort of woody base. It's mostly green, and really quite lovely. If only it had a bit more throw and lasted a bit longer on me. *pouts*

The Antikythera Mechanism

This is one of those scents that has me typing with one wrist plastered to my nose. The woods are warm, the tobacco is just slightly smoky and the vanilla gives it just a hint of sweetness. All in all, it's absolutely fabulous and I will definitely need a bottle. -
In the bottle: primarily oakmoss and a dark floral that I think is the orchid. Wet: it becomes a lot more darkly floral on my skin than it was in the bottle, but my beloved oakmoss is still there to keep the florals toned down just enough and provide a sort of wild edge that I absolutely adore. Dry: it lightens a bit, but never loses the dark and wild edge that I love and never gets overwhelmingly floral, which I had been afraid that it might. In short, I love it and am very glad that I convinced myself to get a bottle. *g*

Hmm, I'm not sure what I think of this one. The oakmoss tries from the get-go to step up and be seen, but something (likely whatever it is that people are smelling as hairspray) overpowers it very quickly and turns it into some sort of powdery perfumy scent, which just doesn't work on me.

On first whiff: lots and lots of cedar. And as it dries, still lots and lots of cedar. The rose tries to pop out, but the cedar is wearing its stompy boots and isn't afraid to use 'em. Sadly, this one simply won't work for me.

This is exactly what I was hoping for: sweet green clover, a hint of floral heather and everything good and wonderful about springtime. This one could quickly become my favorite of all time.
-
Oh, now this is nice. It's a soft, creamy vanilla without being foody. The hint of saffron gives it a bit of an edge without taking away from its feminine softness. This one is definitely a winner.

Hmm, this is interesting. It starts off wet and green and a bit too sharp, but quickly eases off. Then the incense starts to amp up a bit, melding with the frankincense and myrrh to make something nice and warm and just very slightly spicy. Too much will probably wind up giving me a headache, which is a shame, but in moderation this is really quite lovely.

It starts out very green and woodsy, then as it dries the berries start to come out, though never very strongly. It's nice, but not something I'd wear.
-
Sadly, this one simply doesn't work on me. Between the wine and what I think is the olive leaf it's giving me a headache. And I had such high hopes for this one, too.
-
This is easily my favorite of the Lick It variations. It's definitely a sharp, sweet peppermint (completely unlike Tokyo Stomp which is more of a sweet mint rather than a peppermint), but it doesn't have the medicinal edge that the other two have. I like this one a lot, and I see a bottle in my future.
-
This is almost a rose that I can wear, but not quite. It starts out pure, fresh, damp rose with a hint of greenery. But it very quickly morphs into old lady lotion, which I don't want to smell like.
-
*sniffs wrist* Yep, that's fir, all right. Cold, wet fir with a hint of mint in the background giving it a bit of an edge. But mostly it's just slightly overpowering fir. Off to the swaps.
-
Now this one is nice. It's tart and juicy but not overbearing, though it fades a bit more quickly than I'd like. Still, I'd say this one is a winner.
-
I had hoped that this one would be the rose scent that worked for me, but alas, it did what all the others have done; it turned straight into old lady rose-scented lotion on me. Apparently, rose is just one of those scents that I can't wear.

Hmm, this one is interesting. Wet, it smells almost just like the original Beaver Moon (which I love to pieces.) Sadly, it fades almost instantly, though I can still catch a whiff of it every now and then.
-
This is absolutely heavenly. It's warm milk chocolate mixed with just enough delicious coffee to be noticeable without being overpowering. And the hint of cinnamon just peeking out as it dries makes it a perfect blend.
-
Oh, now this is nice. *huffs wrist* It's all lovely, warm, dry spicy gingerbread without being overpowering. I absolutely love this, and will have to get a bottle post-haste.

Oh, this is delicious. It's musk and sandelwood and soft leather with a bit of wood and a hint of tobacco in the background. It's wonderful and complex, but still soft. While I think this would smell spiffy on a man, it also smells fabulous on me. *g* This one is definitely a winner.

Huh, this one isn't anything like I thought it would be. On me it's not even a little bit foody. It's almost like it's trying to smell like cherry, but it just can't seem to do it. I'm not really sure what it does smell like on me, but it's certainly not either cherry or strawberry.
