A scent for all rabble-rousing, nose-thumbing reprobates: black plum, champaca flower, dark musk, patchouli, narcissus and scorched sandalwood. Hmm, this is kind of interesting. Hellion starts out very incensey, warm and spicy. Then as it dries the plum comes out to play, adding a dark sort of fruity sweetness to the incense that's very appealing. It's not overly strong either, so there are no problems with wearing it out in public.

Wet, this is a very sharp green, herbal scent and there's something sort of lurking in the background that just smells sort of weird. I have no idea what it is, or what it smells like, but it's really odd and I don't really care for it, especially mixed in with the sharp green herbal-ness. Off to the swaps.

In the bottle, this is overpoweringly herby. Wet, it softens up a bit and the sharp herby scent fades into the background behind the woods and moss. It's nice enough, in moderation, but even a little too much starts to burn my sinuses and gives me a headache. Off to the swaps.

Hmm, Antony is really interesting. It's herby without being overpowering, there's a bare hint of leather in the background, and as it dries it gets sweeter without losing that masculine edge. But the sweetness also keeps it from being seriously manly, too. And after the sweetness comes out to play, something lightly spicy pops up and starts necking with the sweetness on the couch. Final verdict: I wouldn't use Antony very often, but I do like it and will probably use up my imp.

When I read the notes for this blend I was pretty sure that it wouldn't work on me, but since it was a frimp from the lab I tried it anyway. And I was right, it didn't work on me. The white florals and the jasmine teamed up and with my chemistry it smelled really just perfumey and somewhat overpowering. Off to the swaps for someone who works with florals better than I do.

This is sweet and green and woody, but fairly faint on me. I love the color, and the oil smells about like you'd think it would being that shade of green, which is cool. *g* Sadly, I don't think it's for me.

I'm not getting anything even slightly boozy from this at all. What I'm pretty sure is the Magnolia comes charging out right at the beginning, and only lets the other florals out for short jaunts. The Magnolia is a bit much for me, but otherwise Jazz Funeral is really quite nice.

Something in Belladonna smells incredibly familiar, but I have no idea what it is. It's dark and green, and somewhat sharp with what is possibly cedar in the background. It sort of smells like walking through an old, Southern cemetery at dusk, with overhanging tree branches and crumbling tombstones with moss on them.

Hmm, this one is interesting. It starts out fairly heavily floral, but something green and slightly sweet pops up almost immediately to tone the flowers down a bit. Then as it dries something creamy and slightly powdery takes center stage. It's nice enough, but I don't know that I'd ever wear it.

Oh, this is nice. The amber and the sandalwood are nice and warm, but still sort of soft. It's definitely a unisex scent, but not too masculine. I like it, a lot, and am very happy that the lab decided that I needed to sniff it.

Oh, wow. *huffs arm* Tokyo Stomp is like the delicious offspring of mint chocolate chip ice cream and the minty interior of a Peppermint Patty. It is lovely sweet minty goodness, and I will definitely need at least one more bottle.

I have three words for Bloody Mary: hot cherry turnovers. The sheer juiciness of the cherries fades a bit as it dries and the whole thing gets more creamy. It's incredibly yummy, and now I have a serious urge to head to Arby's for some turnovers.

MB:VD is mostly woody (something cedar like, I think) with a really nice hint of hazelnut on top and a chaser of caramel afterwards. It's not foody at all, and the caramel just sort of lends a hint of sweetness to the wood. I don't love it, but I do like it well enough. -
Oh, my. I've never had any of Beth's blends that actually made me sick, but I suppose there's a first time for everything. Somehow the citrus and the jasmine join together right from the start in some sort of evil partnership and proceed to stomp all over everything in their wake, sending me into a coughing fit. Plus, it's so strong that for the first time I actually had to go and wash it off almost immediately. Oh, well. You win some, you lose some.

Hmm, this one starts out really nice; slightly floral but also sort of juicy. Then the florals put on their stompy boots and just take over, leaving nothing but a citrusy edge in their wake. Which sadly means that this is definitely not for me. Off to the swaps.

At first sniff all I can smell is pepper, so much so that I nearly sneezed. As it dries I can smell something sort of sweet and spicy trying to push past the pepper, but it never quite manages it. Off to the swaps.

Mama-Ji is wonderful, spicy love. The florals are just kind of hanging around in the background and only occasionally popping up just to make sure you remember that they're there. The cardamom, nutmeg and other spices completely steal the show, melding into something warm, spicy and sexy that is absolutely perfect on my skin. Which means that this may be the first thing that I'll need multiple bottles of.

Oh, Snowblind is wonderful, minty love. I got a sniffie, and now I desperately wish I could have more. On me it's like a lovely, minty Beaver Moon-ish scent, and I can only hope that Tokyo Stomp will be at least somewhat similar. *crosses fingers*

Hmm, the mint portion is really nice, but whatever is under the mint just doesn't seem to work on me. Which is a pity, since the mint itself is really nice. Sadly, the combination of mint and what I think might be the buttery rum is entirely too off-putting. Off to the swaps.

I think I'm in love. Boomslang starts out smelling of rich, dark chocolate with just a hint of something underneath. Then as it dries the chocolate takes a quiet backseat to something smooth and sweet and absolutely delicious. It's sweet, dark chocolate flavored sex in a bottle.

Oh, wow. This is yummy. The caramel is readily apparent, but the sandalwood and tobacco mellow it out a lot, leaving the final scent warm and slightly spicy and only very slightly foody. Plus, the tobacco gives it a very slight masculine edge without being too manly. I think a bottle is definitely in my future.

Three deep, dark myrrhs, smoke, and cinnamon bark. On my skin, Priala is mostly smoke and myrrh with just a hint of cinnamon lingering in the background. It's just enough to make the smoke and myrrh a bit spicy but not so much that it's overpowering. Sadly though, something in Priala gives me a headache so it's off to the swaps.

It's kind of difficult typing with my wrist plastered to my nose, but I'm trying. I absolutely love this. It's very warm and golden, with sort of a soft spiciness. It's a very comforting scent, and brings to mind the image of sitting in a window seat wrapped up in your significant other's arms and watching the sunset. And how the labbies knew that I would love this and decided to frimp it to me, I will never know. But I am very thankful that they did.

Oh, this is lovely. It starts off as mostly wet, aquatic flowers with a bit of green apple sort of hanging around in the background. On closer inspection, there is also a hint of mint but just enough so that you can tell that it's there. It's soft and fresh and cool, the perfect scent for summer.

Oh, the monster kitty loves me, and I love it back. It's warm and just slightly spicy and slightly sweet, with a backing of lovely delicious tea. It smells nothing at all like cats, but still somehow evokes the feeling you get when you've got your face pressed to the side of a furiously purring cat, all warm, soft fur against your cheek and happy rumblings in your ear. I just wish I knew how Beth managed to get a purring cat into the bottle.
