Lovely but impossibly faint on me. I still love it, though!

Faint as anything on me, no idea why! I had to slather to even pick it up; when I did, I got green wood with a little bite, softened by the maple. Not a standout, but certainly not unpleasant!

A little too sugary for my usual tastes, but it mellowed out pretty well over the course of the night! A keeper, I think.

Lime and coconut and lovely delicate florals. Definitely didn't expect that, given the name. This was a perfect contrast to a cold and foggy autumn day, though it's faded rather quickly. I'll have to reapply and snap up a few imps, I think this one will come in handy when winter comes.

I quite like Dee in very small amounts, but dear oh dear does it ever last a long time. I put a tiny amount on 14 hours ago and it's still going pretty strong!

Putting this on gave me a vivid flashback to kayaking in the middle of a kelp patch in the Pacific ocean. Briny, crisp and deep, salty green, the counterpart to the more zippy, foamy oceanic scent I got from Humpback Whale. These are still waters, but ones that run very, very deep. Definitely a keeper for me!

I finally decided on a quick and easy Halloween costume: femme!Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians! I have white hairspray (and a lot of it because damned if I don't have a metric ton of hair), dark jeans and ordered a custom hoodie from Etsy. Any thoughts as to nice, wintry-but-playful pairings?

A little sweet for me, but it mellowed out really quickly and let the more subdued scents come through within a matter of minutes! Long-lasting, too, especially the musk, hay and pomegranate. Definitely a keeper!

This won't be a really helpful review, but I feel compelled to note this one particular fact for posterity. Out of all the BPALs I have ever worn to bed, Lune Noire was the first that gave me entirely dreamless sleep, something I've been needing desperately for some time. Other scents have helped with my nightmares, let me remember less when I wake up in the morning, etc., but Lune Noire was the first scent that knocked me out cold. Plus the jonquil and white pear really come out strong on my skin and I like that.

Cherry always seems to turn into cough medicine on me, but Kyoto faded too quickly for it to get too icky. Alas, I think the two of us aren't meant to be. I may wear it again, as the 40-ish minutes where I could detect it were pleasant, but Kyoto isn't one of my immediate favorites.

Very faint but pleasant. Clean, light and vaguely watery. I like, but I think I'll look elsewhere for my dyed-in-the-wool aquatic/windy scents.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely give Two, Five and Seven a shot (it's the only one of those that I have on hand), but just a touch! I am so jealous of your season, what a fantastic spread! When I was auditioning I went light on scents (just in case anyone was sensitive/allergic) For As You Like it, I would definitely go with something floral like Helena (for female roles) or woodsy like Dee or Black Forest (male roles). Hedda Gabler is perhaps one of my favorite dramas of all time. For auditioning for Hedda I would go for something more complex/multi-layered like Tamora or La Belle Dame Sans Merci (for females, more specifically Hedda herself) or for the male characters something like Wilde or Dorian. Grey Gardens is an interesting show with very interesting characters, just for the pun of it I would suggest The Madwoman (previous seasonal) or, more seriously, something more fitting for the setting of the show: The Hamptons. Thanks! I'm thrilled about the season too, I love As You Like it and Hedda and I'll definitely take those suggestions into account!

For some reason Shanghai pops to mind, not entirely sure why! It seems Spock-ish; clean, precise, but with more than just a sleek exterior? I'm awful at verbalizing that sort of thing, I hope I'm making some sense.

I think I may just need to let it age, but Snake Oil isn't in my top 10 at the moment, strangely enough! I don't know another way to describe it, but most BPAL scents bring to mind images of movement or some sense of dynamism. Snake Oil is static to me; after applying it, I don't get the uplift or thrill that I get from other scents. It's not unpleasant by any means, but it's such a strange contrast from everything else I've tried. As I said, perhaps I just need to let it sit for a while, let things settle so it can get moving (counter-intuitive as that may seem).

Bringing this back from the dead because I have fall quarter auditions coming up! I'm going out for three very different productions and I want to see if I can find something that would be suitable for all three. I've got: As You Like It Hedda Gabler Grey Gardens A comedy, a tragedy and a musical. I couldn't be more across the board if I tried! Any ideas?

I think night-blooming flowers really work for me! I didn't know what to expect from Zorya, but thus far it's treated me quite well. It doesn't have a whole lot of staying power, but when it's there it's a lovely, delicate breath of jasmine and spice.

Stentor was the first-ever BPAL scent that just did not work on me! I liked all the notes in it and was thrilled to get my decant, but the minute it touched my skin it turned into insect repellent. Ah well, I can get my bright-crackly-energetic fix from The Coil.

I like Baku as a scent (I'm actually okay with anise), but my main focus when purchasing it was 'will it make the nightmares stop'. And yes, it did. It did replace them with reeeeeeeally detailed, acid-trippy dreams, but that's better than what was going on before!

The first thing that jumps to mind is Schrodinger's Cat: sweet and lively, but not delicate. There's a fizz to it that I associate with Vanellope, maybe that would work!

A sparky little scent! This one really surprised me. With the color I expected it to be too sharp for my tastes, but the mint turns it into something really lovely.

Nice and floral on me, but not oversweet. Subtle enough to go unnoticed unless I really concentrate on it and the poppy and iris are a nice touch. My imp of this will be more than enough, but I quite like Euterpe.

One of my guilty pleasure shows... In general I think Bewitched would be a good fit for Storybrooke, Jezebel for Regina, Black Forest for the huntsman/Graham, Pepper (Gaiman line) for Emma (it has a feminine yet feisty feel), The Rose for Belle (it's more girly than Belle Vinu), Jailbait for Stroybrooke version of Red. That's all I have for now. Those all sound perfect! I keep trying to find something for Baelfire/Neal, I'm sure I'll come up with something suitable for him.

I was a bit nervous about this one, in all honesty! My luck with cypress and pine has been minimal, but I was pleasantly surprised by Aurelia. The strawberry and currant balanced nicely with the sharper notes (even overwhelming them at the start), but upon drying down it turned into something quite pleasant and sweet.

Morocco was weirdly counterintuitive on me. Even though all the notes screamed 'cold-weather fare', I wore Morocco for days when I was in Athens a few weeks ago. 95 degree blazing heat, but it didn't feel cloying, too sweet, or make me feel warmer than I should have been! The spice was a wonderful touch and it stayed with me for hours.

The imp of Slippery Poppy Tincture I spilled all over my carpet was quite nice while it lasted. A bit of a happy accident, but there you go!
