Sage, musk and leather are doing a happy dance on my skin right now! The cedar is close behind as my cedar loving chemistry amps it up, but I love cedar, and it's complementing everything else perfectly. The vanilla and carnation are adding this creamy roundness that keeps the cedar and leather from being overly masculine and this scent is just yummy and warm and sexy.

This smells exactly like one of my lemon hemp chap sticks...This off buttery green with a splash of very fake smelling lemon. Pass...

This is a powerfully evocative green, spicy scent. I'm getting the sage and moss first, deepened by what I assume is the musk. This scent is very sharp, getting even more peppery, with a bit of powder from the heather. This is definitely on the masculine side of things, but I love this and will be wearing it a lot.

I got a decant of Pumpkin Patch 2 from 06,and it is beautiful. The pumpkin almost smells like dried seeds, which makes the nutty chocolate warm and rich. This is a cozy and wonderful scent! Far too often, the lab's pumpkin note goes to artificial butter on me, but I'm getting none of that, just a yummy baked sweetness.

There is an artificial strawberry sweetness running through this, which I can only assume is the gummy bears. It's also rather powdery and heavy, which is probably a combination of all the incense notes blending with the rose. It's going to my head a little bit, which also often happens with incense heavy blends. Going to let it breathe from travel before rending final judgement, but it looks like I'm passing on this one. --edit-- Goodness is the drydown on this stunning! The artificial note dies back and the incense goes delightfully smokey. Definitely going to retest and keep this imp.

I am very much getting the vanilla frankincense, and there is a little floral and a little sweet that must be the champaca and red licorice, but it's mostly incense. It is very head shoppy on me, which I love and I am very happy my decanter was able to give me two decants in the original bottle because this is just the right mix of sweet and incense for me.

This is delightfully leathery. It's mostly tobacco and the dark sharp leather, plus what I swear is black pepper, though it's not a note. It's a spicy, deep leather scent, tempered by what may be a little sweatness from the amber or oppoponax, thought it's a very honeyed, though not sweet. This is a very sexy and masculine scent, though I would love to wear this. Just delightfully yummy!

They promised me woody sweetness and gave me rose??? This smells like roses and green sap. I can only hope this is a trick of my sick nose...

This is graveyard dirt plus. I thought I loved that scent more than anything, and this comes along. It has exactly the same dirt note, plus something a little salty in with the moss and something not unlike dried rose. Get me a bottle of this asap.

Musk and smoke is pretty much all I'm getting from this and it is going straight to my head in a bad way. It is just WAY too strong.

This might just be the sleeper hit of the weenie decants I ordered. The agave is almost like honey, but it's lighter and less cloying, lending the blend a very light sweetness that is a great complement to the smokey tobacco notes. I'm not getting much copal yet, but it might be where the dusty background wood note that is very grounding. Really digging this scent, though I won't be getting a bottle.

Wet, this was all patchouli and reminded cheap club perfume in it's bitter simplicity. But as it warmed up, I got the tobacco coming to the fore and it's much better. It's still very much in the vein of the patch heavy men's colognes, but the artificial bitterness is now completely gone and replaced with a subtle dark spice.

Those pale musks are just drop dead (heh) beautiful. There has to be cedar in those woods, but there is something both green and floral and just perfect that complements the musks and wood. This scent is both perfect and completely unexpected. Someone mentioed that the floral could be lily, and am starting to think they are right, but am very thankful it's not doing the lily thing and giving me a headache. This scent is really a winner and I must get a bottle right away.

Another pumpkin disaster... Beth's pumpkin note goes buttery on my chemistry, and despite my desire for it to work, I just can't deal with it in large amounts it would seem. No matter what I try, pumpkin goes to buttered popcorn jelly beans on me. This one is complemented by sickeningly sweet maple syrup (perhaps honey from the beeswax?) and a little bitter smoke after bite.

Lemon? Others seem to be smelling it, but this is bright citrus at first, though there is something grassy hanging out in back. This is mostly amber and that lemon note, to my disappointment. It's getting woodier as it dries, and I certainly don't mind the way this smells at all, but it's not what I was hoping for.

I am SO thrilled I got a free decant of this with my weenies, because I never would have tried it otherwise and it is stunning! It's mostly chocolate, but I am getting the cumin, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, making this very evocative of spiced hot chocolates that I have had in South America. This is a very foodie scent, but it gets greener as it dries and the spices and chocolate take a back seat to copal and other things that I am less familiar with. I may have to get a bottle of this!

I'm really hoping this sharp, almost chemical bitter note I'm smelling ages out, because this is a lovely dark scent otherwise. I think the pumpkin is sweetening this a bit, though I am not overly familiar with the original scent, but the herbs are still very dark and right now a bit bitter. Holding out that my decant will age, given that many people with Samhain is better with aging, but not getting a full bottle.

This is such a green scent to me! The butter note I get from a lot of the pumpkin scents is replaced by a sharp green note that's more like stems and flowers, though there is a bit of creaminess that cuts the sharp almost bitter notes of Sin. As it dries, here comes the cinnamon! It's really brightening up the scent in a great way! It is a little bit candy-like with the combination of the sweetness of the pumpkin with my chemistry's tendancy to turn cinnamon into red hots, but there are some other spices that keep it out of artificial food land and more into a sexy slinking sort of scent. It's not a scent I see myself wearing much due to how heavy it is, but it will be a great fall party scent!

Something about the butter in the pumpkin (that usually goes jelly bean on me)plus the tea and vanilla in Dorian makes this a wonderful morpher. Every sniff is a little different, but the main notes are the vanilla and pumpkin, but I often get whiffs of what can only be the tea with it's dry herby scent. Not sold on a full bottle, but very happy for the decant.

I think Beth's pumpkin note is forever doomed to be cheap buttered popcorn jelly beans on me. This isn't terrible the way Jack was, but it's all artificial maple and butter on me. In fact, it smells exactly like that Aunt Jemima 'maple syrup' with added butter flavor. Yuck...

The heliotrope and honeysuckle teamed up to make me miserable in moments and it had to come right off... It was surprisingly bitter and musky and not at all what I was hoping for.

I want a BPAL that smells like Bath & Body Works...

Juperterian Phoenix sounds a lot like TW. It's a great peppery woods scent that has cedar, spices and herbs in it. I think it's really peppery even though there is no pepper listed. Just want to say we've got both the phoenix and TW (the boy uses TW and Noir from BBW) and they don't smell anything alike to either of us! It was just a guess, not knowing what most B&BW scents smell like. Good luck! -

Patchouli and Vetiver tend to be very ampy scents on people, so if he likes the spicy notes, try blends with those. Snake Oil seems like it's very much in the same family, with the sugared spices. Everyone says it's better aged, so if you want to look for an aged imp to try, the forums often have a few.

Not sure how hard it is to find, but Pumpkin Latte sounds like it could be right up your alley.
