Succubus in vial: orange blossom wet: orange blossom and something very sweet (mimosa?) dry: sweet orangey floral...no clove...fades in about 3 hours verdict: nice, but I don't need a big bottle

The Hamptons in vial: LIME wet: lime and orange dry: mostly lime and a little cranberry...fades quickly, in less than 2 hours verdict: I like this, but wish it would last longer...will use up my imp, but won't be buying a bigger bottle

Bewitched in vial: green tea and sage wet: starting to smell the blackberry dry: sweet musky blackberry...fades after 3 hours verdict: I like this, but wished it lasted longer...will use the imp, but won't buy a big bottle

Saturnalia in vial: violets and....bananas? wet: no bananas, just violets and vetiver dry: powdery violets verdict: violets + me = off to swaps

Puck received in a swap in vial: grape and civet...a stinky combination (my husband smelled it and said it reminded him of being at the zoo) wet: the sage starts to make an appearance dry: the juniper appears...but doesn't help much...this is just not a pleasant smell verdict: off to swaps...if I can find anyone that wants it

La Petite Mort freebie from the lab in vial: a spicy-sweet blend of myrrh and ylang ylang wet: myrrh is a bit overpowering dry: nice blend of the two notes...lasts about 5 hours verdict: nice...I'll use the imp but don't need a big bottle

Tzadikim Nistarim freebie from the lab in vial: a nondescript sweet smell wet: fake banana candy? dry: the bananas go away and I am left with a faint, nondescript floral scent verdict: not for me...off to swaps

Akuma in vial: orange and neroli; very bitter wet: same dry: the bitterness fades into a sweet orange and raspberry scent...unfortunately, it's gone in less than 2 hours verdict: fades too quickly...will use the imp but no need for a big bottle

Venom in vial: jasmine and berries wet: same dry: same verdict: fades quickly (in less than 3 hours)...I will use my imp but won't get too attached since it's been discontinued

Fruit Moon in bottle: tart lemon and sweet melons and berries wet: same dry: gone! fades into nothing after less than an hour verdict: I love it, but it fades too quickly

Morocco in vial: carnation and spices wet: musk and spices dry: soft sandalwood, almonds, and spices...a lovely, yummy, comforting scent verdict: I think this may replace O as my favorite BPAL scent

Carnivale (2005) in bottle: faint carnation wet: faint musk, berry, and carnation dry: slightly soapy carnation and musk...fades after about 4 hours verdict: I'm not too fond of the soapy scent...I am tempted to swap this but will give it another try before I make my final decision ETA: I tried again this weekend and am sorry to say that the scent is so faint I can hardly smell anything at all. This just doesn't work for me, so I believe that I will swap it

Dublin in vial: pine wet: same dry: pine and a faint hint of roses...lasts only about 3 hours verdict: I wish it lasted longer...I will use up the imp, but won't be buying a larger bottle

Villain received in a swap in vial: lavender, lime, and musk...very masculine wet: musk, with a hint of lavender and lime dry: same verdict: fades in less than 2 hours...I passed this along to my husband...it smells great on him, but also fades quickly

Mantis in vial: herbal and slightly medicinal, like herbal cough drops wet: herbs and amber, less medicinal dry: herbs, amber, and musk verdict: nice, but not a favorite...will use the imp, but I don't need a big bottle

Casanova in vial: leather and lavender wet: lavender and bergamot...very masculine...I am tempted to promptly pass this on to my husband dry: dries to a soft blend of lavender, bergamot, amber, tonka, and patchouli...I will share with my husband, but he can't have it all!...lasts about 6 hours verdict: very nice...I will try again before I decide whether or not to buy a big bottle

Old Scratch in vial: lavender and amber wet: lavender, amber, and tonka dry: the lavender fades and I am left with mainly amber and tonka...a soft, warm scent verdict: overall a lovely scent...I will need to try again before I decide whether or not to buy a big bottle ETA: I wore this again with slightly different (but equally lovely) results...this time the rosewood was much more prominent and blended with the amber and tonka...wonderful and I think I need a big bottle!!

Pain in vial: strong pennyroyal, slightly soapy wet: same dry: soap soap soap...no lavender at all...fades quickly...lasts about 2 hours verdict: not for me...off to swaps

Bliss in vial: powdered hot cocoa mix wet: chocolate cake batter dry: still cake batter, but fading fast...after about an hour, only a faint trace is left...my skin EATS chocolate (yum!) verdict: this is not something I would wear very often, I think my imp will suffice
